How to lose half your body weight in 10 days (Or a bit longer!)

I'm a wee posting wench tonight arn't I?!

You may or may not know I love crafting. I've knitted jumpers for my boy, and myself, as well as other things. His xmas stocking (and other decorations) were knitted by me, and I decided to add a trinket to attach to it each year. This year we made gingerbread together. He loved stamping out the shapes! So I needle felted a gingerbread man for this year's addition, fastened with a safety pin through the back and a loop of yarn. I wonder what next years will be. I've done a couple of needle point projects and one was to be a cushion. for almost a year it has sat here waiting to be sewn together as I've busied myself with other projects. In a craft magazine there is a gorgeous blanket/throw. I've wanted to to make a throw for a while, but I don't like knitting in acrylic, the yarns I like tend to be rather pricey. but this has patchwork with granny square pattern crocheted round it, then the several pieces made up into the throw. It looks lovely and I adore Tilda fabrics ( Tilda Winterbird, duck egg bird rose fabric value pack x 6/ christmas decoration | eBay ) see? beautiful. And as always with me, quite pricey. for the Yarn for the crocheting I have quite a supply of a lovely cream colour, and some blue as well, I think I may do a third colour in grey, just to contrast it, not sure yet. Anyhoo, it is still quite pricy. SO it is my 5 stone award present! 6lbs to go, and cheaper than buying more clothes that won't fit in my wardrobe. hehe. I also would like to make one for my son in this pattern (cath kidston) 10 CATH KIDSTON FABRIC SQUARES - 10CM **MINI WHITE COWBOY** | eBay Alternatively I have a similar design in a needle point book that I could make and make into a cushion for a chair I'm thinking of getting him for his birthday.

Best get slimming so I can start sewing! and learn to sew in a straight line!

Those fabrics are both gorgeous. You're a very talented 'little' lady. ;)

Well done on the fab NSV. What a great feeling that must've been. People had started to compliment me when i had lost the 2 stone before xmas. Can't wait to get those compliments coming in again.

Night night huni x

Oh thanks toots hun. :) I ended up chatting to my friend instead of sewing my cushion. Hopefully I will do it tomorrow. I suck at sewing though because I'm not neat enough. I'm hoping with the tapestry being one side the mesh will make me neater!!!

This is the needle point...

Tap dancing tomorrow. Eei! decided to wear leggings and a dress, I only have one pair of jeans that don't fall down now, and they are quite low cut and give me a bit of a muffin top so I'd be more comfortable in a dress. I should be less likely to fall over in leggings too! Less likely, still highly possible.

Feel massive and swollen today. Boo :( just had a bunch of fruit and a ww yogurt feel nice and full, got a nice big cup of tea with my hea measured and in the jug, my heb is a bun for the burger tonight. Syns will be a babybel light in my burger for 2 syns and a hifi light bar for 3 syns for a wee treat. I've been having 10-15 syns this week so having a lighter syn day today, although last week was the same and I lost 4lbs. I just feel like a stuffed barrel is my middle today.

Not long until tap class though. Super excited :D

Yay for the tap dancing. Did your mum enjoy it too?

Boo to the Airfryer being broken. Was it properly packaged?

Great news, she's asked me to send the photos (which I offered to send to prove the damage) so she can claim it back off the couriers, but she will send my refund right after she gets the photos. and has asked me to send positive if she gets it done right away or not provide feedback at all. aahh, I kick arse at complaints and scaring people. She has one bad review for not providing a refund so thought i'd best do my proper business thing. It's rare I have to use my brain as I usually don't bother. As you can tell by me saying "proper business thing".

Really excited for next weeks tap class. only downside to this week is i've been full of wind and all blocked up :( I drink loads and have loads of fruit and veg. urgh.

Had another on plan day. 14/31 :D

B: banana, satsuma, yogurt, melon, apple.
L: soup - potato, stock, parsnip, carrot, onion, leek
s: grapes
D: babybel light (2 syn) burger (extra lean mince, onion, garlic, mixed herbs, worcestershire sauce) coleslaw (carrot, onion, cabbage, fat free fromage frais, vinegar powder mustard), beans, sw chips, 1tbsp of tomato ketchup (1 syn). lettuce and a 60g wm bun (heb)
s: satsuma, yogurt.

Really full. just 3 syns but I don't want any thing else

Mum couldn't get the hang of it, so was really quite annoying. If she spent more time paying attention than trying to be the centre of attention she'd probably do better. Oh well, I told her I will be practicing on Thursday and Saturday if she wants to practice, but she then goes, "well we can do other days can't we?!" to which I replied, "yes, but it'd be like learning to play the piano, where you put off practicing to do it another day." She got me to teach her, but it was utterly pointless because she wouldn't pay attention. Or she pays attention just long enough for her to think she knows what she is doing, but not long enough to actually know what she is doing. I told her to go to a proper teacher but she wanted to learn a little first. She never went. I would hate to ever be her teacher!

The air fryer wasn't wrapped well at all. no box, one layer of bubble wrap, one layer of brown paper which was mostly torn off. I'm taking photos in the morning to send over to her. so I will be up £72-79 (depending on if she includes postage).

Texty, it is rotten isn't it? urgh. toot toot.

Well I sent the photos to her and got a full refund, including the delivery cost. So I have £79! woop. I might just go and buy the fabrics anyway... I'm a bit naughty. I finished sewing together my cushion and it looks adorable :) I just need some wadding to stuff it. I've also been told my grandad was talking of sending some pennies this way because it is just sitting in the bank doing nothing. Bit random but I'm not complaining. I dunno how much it will be or anything but another wee woot for that too. Got some good things going on for once.

I never had my hifi bar yesterday so finished on 3 syns. not had any yet today. Got a flake out (7 syns) but not really fancying it right now. I have had a yogurt, banana and satsuma. I'll see if I want it later. so far

B: banana, apple, satsuma, grape, melon, a yogurt.
L: soup (nom)
D: chicken curry and rice. chicken, spices, peppers, onion, garlic etc. mum made it by the time I got back from toddlers, I made the soup yesterday so I have had a cooking free day. woop.
Yogurt, (TDML) banana (I know 2 in a day! rebel!) satsuma, 2 hifi lights (heb)

Mum made the mistake of giving Nate a taste of her TDML and was pestered mercilessly for it, along side the dog, who loves yogurts.

Well it is weigh in day and another lb plopped off. That's 6lbs off so far this month. Back to my lowest (pre xmas, birthday, new years and general chocolate for breakfast is promoted month) and excitedly working towards my 5 stone award. 5.5st lost, 4st9lbs with sw. So to hit my consultants target for me for this month I need to lose 2.5lbs next week and the one after (eep). I have realised I am snacking on an evening out of habit as often as out of hunger, yes it is on syns not used in the day, or healthy extras not used in the day and free/superfree but it is too much, so going to have a wee shake up. I will keep my syns for the evening still, and if I have my healthy extras I will have them before the extra (super)free snacks.

Today's food is a bit silly, I thought my son would go for a nap after his lunch and I'd have mine while he was napping but he wanted to run around instead. then overtired and tantruming and has gone down now but I've not had a proper lunch.

WI
B: yogurt, banana, satsuma
s: sliced chicken, pear

How pathetic is that?! going to put the oven on for the chicken for tonight and prepare the veg and some salad veg to chuck in with fat free vinegarette and left over plain pasta. I knew I always cooked too much for a reason. hurrah left overs. the lazy/unorganised girl's friend.

Thanks love. :) Yours is more impressive super slimmer.

So B: yogurt, banana, satsuma
s: wafer chicken, pear
L: pasta salad (see above)
D: roast chicken, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower
s: yogurt, 2 hifi light (HEB), choc (13 syns) not eaten the choc yet, but I will :)

Bless ya thanks Hun x

I know it is hard when you are bigger people expect massive losses every week, but if we just plod on with our heads down we get there. :)

Well, mum is rejoining. I think she has just made about every excuse she can but she was at the drs today and got a referral, so she will have to stay to group and she will stick at it. She's pretty much been messing around for a year, after her thyroid was sorted there were holidays and this and that, then xmas, and she didn't want to be at the same group as me (touching huh?) And she doesn't like our consultant and blah blah blah. So I looked up other groups near by last night, run by a consultant she does like, and I think she just had to admit to herself they were just excuses. I think seeing me shrinking, and her friend put on all the weight she lost and rejoin, and another friend deciding to lower her Target made her think about her weight. Last night I did ask her if she wanted to lose more or if she was happy where she was at, because I didn't know, and she said she wanted to lose more. It sucks a bit because I've been in control if cooking and meal plans and it makes me feel more in control and positive about losing weight. I hope she isn't going to over rule it and swap things around so I don't know which way is up. Sad thing is, I'm pretty sure she will. Never mind, she might decide she is happy to let me carry on, I know the syns of everything and usually make free food so she can spend her syns on treats.

I had a sausage sandwich this morning. I love them, but for some reason I don't have them that often. Sausage (2s), onion, tomato, mushroom, wholemeal roll (heb). And I made the soup at the same time from the chicken carcus last night, with onion, leek, carrot and potato. Tesco delivery is coming this afternon so we will be loaded up with goodies.

Tesco bargains:
- 6 tommee tippee bottles for £12.99 cheaper than buying new teats.
- nappies 1/3rd off
- special k chewy delights (can be used as a heb) half price at 99p
- alpen light bars (2 for heb) I think were 2 for £3
- activia 0% 12 pack £1.50
- mullerlight multipack half price, singles (including TDML) 6 for £3
- fry light £1.50
- some chocolate multipacks e.g. flake (7 syns) for £1
- the usual meat 2 for £7 or 3 for £10 still including extra lean mince.

I think there are some more, fruit offers were pretty non-existant compared to usual, I think the "healthy treats" are the best for reductions and offers in January. There are some good ones for dried pasta too.

Diet coke chicken for red tonight. Nommy. Then stew tomorrow. *drools* I will try to have just one bowl but I am not making any promises.

Working for another 100% day, and cut back on evening snacks. I get my syns, my TDML and my heb when it is left over.

soup was yummy, and I stuck to having one bowl. honest I could eat vats of my soup. Absolutely shattered, but I knew if I went to sleep when nate did I've be even more exhausted when he woke up so I have stayed up. Gave some more fresh water to the quails and checked they were happy bobbing away. funny birds. I wanted to see if they would need more straw for tonight but it looks ok... I'll see if they are ok later too. Sorted out some more laundry and about to tidy the kitchen and start preparing veg before mr Tesco comes with my stupidly expensive shop. Can't get everything prepared for tea because Mr Tesco needs to bring it.

Some days I wish I liked coffee *yawn* I just want to veg out and not move.

Really enjoyed reading this and find you so inspirational! I think when you get small losses it can be really disheartening and it's a long journey but we have to believe the 1/2lbs lost a week will mount up! My consultant once said to me that every lb is like a tin of beans coming off your body and I really take a lot of strength from that!
