I guess the gloves need to be off tomorrow. The way they keep you hanging on is bad practice. Going through the equivalent of PALS is a good idea, too.
You will be in my thoughts tomorrow and I hope that you'll be able to give us some good news very, very soon.

Thinking of you Sue. You have been very patient. However I agree. Enough is enough. At the very least you need a date now.

Oh Sue, this is ridiculous now, was worried that I had not heard from you and now can see why. They can't treat people like this, can imagine how you are feeling, make sure they make your appointment tomorrow, stage a sit in if you need to!

Not at all !!! I have been called a lot worse in my time lol !!!

I do hope they phone today as I hate confrontation of any kind.

However am going to take the bull by the horns and also ask for my annual revision to be transferred from Valencia to my local hospital. It means three or 4 trips a year to Valencia which is expensive, about 60€ a time. and time consuming, a whole day. I have to have all my scans there before I see my oncologist so the 3 or 4 trips are all within few days of each other if my scans cannot all be done on the same day.I would have been seen locally but I took part in the trials of 2 new ( then) cancer drugs. I do not think I should be penalised because I took part in the trials.

What a whinger !!!!!

Please, please let them call me.
 
hi, hope you get on okay, know how you feel about fighting to get where you sould be, we've had a year long fight with one of hubby's specialist, who tried to get him to have a kidey op he didn't need, then can't understand why we refuse to see him. Good luck hun:D

I do not know how to post this without appearing negative.

first to the main reception desk to ask where we needed to be. T he girl there was a sweetie and recommended that we take a short cut and go straight to Radiology.
The receptionist there was also very
sweet. She looked in the computer and told me that I am a priority waiting for 2 ultra sounds and a biopsy and that it would be soon. When I told her that everyone I had spoken to had said it would be soon and that I am now very worried she said it would be next week.

I can not believe I have to wait that much longer.

DH said it was quite forgivable that I had a little weep........the first time but God am I so frustrated.

Well done on handling the situation today with such dignity. But then I wouldn't expect anything less from you hunni xx. I would imagine it wasn't easy at all, and you did really well.

So, let's try to take some comfort from the fact that you should be in next week, and keep that positivity going. Soak up all the love :heartpump: and strength that is being sent to you from all your minimins friends, and add it to that of your family :grouphugg: That should hopefully tide you over till yr appointment :fingerscrossed:

Gosh Sue, what a difficult time. Well done for going today and totally forgiveable (and expected in my opinion) to have a little weep.

My suggestion having been in today is to ring every day now. They have said that it would be next week therefore I would expect to get a date in the next few days. I have no doubt that you can be polite and articulate on the phone. Therefore they shouldn't mind. You are not hassling them, simply making sure that the appointment gets made and that you have some notice. If it is going to be next week, you don't want to miss the appointment letter or phone call so you are just making sure. You can also just remind them that you would be happy (keen) to take a last minute cancellation if there is one. As I have said before, if people cancel appointments at the last minute they won't usually try and refill them but if they know that you would, and you are reminding them regularly of that, they may try you if there is.
