I love XFactor.

It's taken me a while to get through this whole thread....I now feel the need to throw my twopence in!!

I want Rebecca to win because she's Scouse but I'm actually getting a bit bored of her. I didn't think her version of Make You Feel My Love was as good as the Adele version...but I still think she's head and shoulders above the rest.

That Katie needs to be shot, I can't stand her. I haven't been able to stand her since that "I want to be a star in everything, I want to be a star in medicine!" comment. Although I would happily fulfil her ambitions by donating her body to medical science.

Cher Lloyd....I hate her. I don't see how she is original, every week she is applauded by the judges for being so unique but this week she blatantly copied Alicia Keys, that version of Hard Knock Life was a spruced up version of the Jay Z release; that Tears for Fears hybrid thing...didn't Dizzee Rascal and James Cordon release that in the summer??? I could go on, but I won't bore you all. But, yeah, she's nothing but an arrogant little scally and she needs knocking down a peg.

Matt....I'm reserving judgement. I'm not into the whole boys whining like girls thing.

Aiden Grimbore really bores the bejeesus out of me. I liked his audition, I just want to see him doing something contemporary!

Paije....I like him, but I don't know where he's fit in the UK market. I feel the same about Mary (plus, I think she's getting a bit too big for her boots. And did you see her freezer on the Xtra Factor???

Wagner....he makes me laugh, mainly because I can't understand a word he says. I always like his earrings though!!

And One Direction....so cute, but I can't even be bothered forming an opinion about them musically.

I feel so much better for getting that off my chest!!

You make me laugh. Thank you. I really enjoyed reading your comments.

I would so join you in not just donating Katie to medical science, I would help you carry her there. She blatantly tries to cover her lack of talent with gimmicks like this weeks " sod it " remark as she sat on the floor. Who does she think she is kidding.

Ditto for Cher. I dislike her whole demeanor though I do think she can sing.

Ditto too for Aiden. He is so depressing. Time to go.

I love Paije and would really like to see him do well.

Well you have about summed up Wagner. The only good thing about him is his earings and I could even see them looking better on a dozen other people...........Wagner to go !!!!!

Thank you JVS. I will go to bed with a smile on my face.

I loved Cher's Tears for Fears Shout week - that was genius. I also enjoyed her Stay but thought the Alicia Keys song this week was too big for her. I quite like the girl. She is only young and it must be really hard adjusting to all this especially with air head Cole as a mentor.

Katie, well what can one say. A publicity at any cost kinda girl so right up Simon's street. I reckon she was lowest in the votes this week and that is why the judging played out as it did coz the producers/Cowel knew Cheryl would have taken it to deadlock and so bizarrely went to her second, knowing full well Cheryl would refuse to vote off one of her own acts meaning they could suddenly make it a majority vote with both Simon and Louise knowing how to 'play the game'. Katie would be good publicity for the tour so I expect they will do their best to keep her in this week too. Paige or Wagner will probably be given a really naff song and be on first so they go instead of her.

Dannii is the only judge to judge fairly IMO. She votes on the sing-off/or for her act, always, and is the only one to do so. Simon showed his true colours when he voted to keep Jedward over Lucy last year.

I love Aiden, Matt and Rebecca. I really hope one of them wins
I really really hate Cher, Katie and Wagner. I think it is a joke that any of them are still in.
I like Mary and Paije but think that unfortunately they are likely to leave before Cher, Katie or Wagner.

I don't agree with the negative comments about Cheryl.
She is the best out of the judges at picking the best songs. When i look at what the other judges pick for their acts !!! I mean what was Danni doing with Paje at the beginning. He murdered the given songs and looked like an 80's throw back. At least Cheryl keeps them current. I dont agree with all the critisim regarding the originality of Cher, i mean i havent heard Mary, Paje, Trayc, Matt, Rebecca, One Direction or any of the other acts, changing the songs and making them their own. I mean Mary sings the same style every week, so does Rebecca (who i want to win).
Plus there was lots of critism regarding Cheryl not singing live, now you cant tell me that Kylie was singing live on Sunday !!!!

Tara, my point about Cher is that I don't see how she has changed songs to make them her own? Apart from Stay, which I thought she sang fantastically well, everything else has been similar to a release. Just Be Good To Me was the same as the Professor Green/Lily Allen release, just with all female vocals, Shout was the same format as the Dizzee Rascal World Cup release, etc etc.

I think she has sang well every week, but I'm not having people tell me her versions are original when they clearly aren't.

Gosh - comments like "hate" & so & so should be "shot" .......... a little harsh don't you think?!?!?!?

At the end of the day, its a tv show :)

Gettingthinnerbytheday (GTBTD?), maybe it's just a Scouse manner of speaking, but I wouldn't actually shoot her. Given that this is a forum I didn't expect my words to be taken literally.

So basically, you're not keen on any of them? Seems a bit pointless watching it then really

I loved Matt this week, his version was superb.
I really wish Dannii would give Aidan a 'happier' song. Would love to see him doing something upbeat :)

im not watching x factor after cheryl refused to vote - she should have been forced to and then gone to deadlock -it's disgusting that Trayc went - especially as she's from Tamworth (where I'm from - ah hem).

At the end of the day they'll all get recording contracts anyway IF cowell feels they deserve it - it's a bit of a fiddle really - and only those who really are good will make it in the big bad world, don't cha think.

I watch it for the drama! Plus, if I didn't watch it, I couldn't converse with anyone other than my OH for the entire week because it's all anyone talks about.

Trayc has been in the bottom before as has Katie - lets face it, the public arn't going to suddenly change their minds & them end up winning the competition are they??

So i think its just a matter of time now until Katie leaves anyway................watch this space on Sunday IMO :)

  • TV sources confirm Treyc received THREE times more votes of support than Katie
One of the most controversial X Factor shows ever was last night exposed as nothing more than a charade.

Presenter Dermot O’Leary revealed that Cheryl Cole’s decision not to vote when two of her acts were up against each other to escape the axe had been planned all along.

Millions watched as Miss Cole dithered over whether to plump for Treyc Cohen or Katie Waissel.

Staged: It has emerged that producers rehearsed the Cheryl Cole no vote on Sunday after she refused to pick between Katie Waissel, left, and Treyc Cohen

Enlarge Decision and indecision: Cheryl left the decision to the other judges, but if it had gone to deadlock Katie would have gone, not Treyc, it has emerged

Eventually she refused to choose at all – and Miss Cohen was kicked off the show after the other judges voted against her by two to one.

Yesterday, however, O’Leary revealed how Miss Cole’s apparently agonising decision had actually been decided by show bosses during the commercial break – as more cynical viewers perhaps might have suspected all along.

He disclosed a dramatic stand-off between him and Miss Cole was agreed in advance.

Moment of truth: Host Dermot O'Leary challenges Cheryl as Katie and Treyc watch on, but he has now revealed the confrontation was all staged

'We thought it might happen before the break when we found out who was in the bottom two,’ he said.

'We decided if she wasn’t going to vote, we would go to the majority verdict.’

The disclosure puts the episode in a disturbing new light and comes as calls are growing among fans for Miss Cole to be axed from her £1.7million job.
Sack Cheryl campaign grows...

Furious viewers have complained in their hundreds to telly watchdog Ofcom - more than 2,000 to date - with ITV receiving more than 1,000 complaints.
Almost 70 per cent of people polled by Mail Online say that the Girls Aloud singer should be axed from the judging panel.

A Facebook group set up called 'Sack Cheryl Cole From X Factor' is also receiving a growing number of followers.

No laughing matter: Embattled X Factor judge Cheryl leaving the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night and, below, Treyc's angered father Fitzgerald

Facebook user David Watt raged: 'There should be a public voting ban which would hit the X factor in their pocket until Cheryl is sacked for not doing the job she is paid to do.'
He continued: 'If not, we should get all our money back from last weekend, is this another ITV voting scandal?'

Of almost 6,890 people polled on MailOnline, 4795 called for Cheryl to be sacked as a judge, while 2095 thought she should be allowed to remain on the show.

Julie from West Yorkshire summed up many people's feelings when she wrote on the Mail Online comment boards: Cheryl should be disqualified for refusing to vote, she gets highly paid to be a judge on the panel.

'If she doesn't want to vote she needs to leave the show. The show is a farce.'
Linda from Northfleet insisted: 'It's so obvious that it's fixed' and Linda from Dublin outlined her argument to Ofcom, saying: 'Cheryl Cole refused to vote there was no chance of deadlock and no way that the public vote could be used.

'Therefore, there was NEVER a chance that the votes for the bottom two could count.

'In the past where the public votes have been made irrelevant in other shows, the company has been sanctioned and I believe this company and Ms Cole should be fined.'

However, some viewers seemed resigned that Cheryl would remain unchallenged in her judge's seat.

Under the rules of the show, the four judges vote to decide which contestant is saved.

Simon Cowell went first and voted to save Miss Waissel, with Miss Cole told she had to vote next.

She and O’Leary then had an ‘argument’ over what to do as she told him: ‘I’m not sending either of them home, Dermot.’

He replied, ‘you’re refusing to vote?’ and she said, ‘I’m refusing point blank’, adding: ‘I don’t have to send anybody home.’

As the tension mounted she told O’Leary: ‘OK, well ask these two then and I’ll take it to deadlock.’

O’Leary said: ‘We’re going to move it on, we’re going to take a majority verdict.’

He turned to judge Dannii Minogue, and said: ‘If you go with Treyc, she’s going home.’

She voted to send Miss Waissel home, with Louis Walsh voting next for Miss Cohen to go, meaning Cole did not need to vote.

The controversy came as TV sources confirmed Miss Cohen had received three times as many votes as Miss Waissel in the public vote.

So if Miss Cole had voted for Miss Cohen – making the judges’ scoring 2-2 and so going to ‘Deadlock’ where the contestant with the lowest public vote is ousted – it would have been Miss Waissel who went home.

ITV has already received more than 1,000 complaints and telly watchdog Ofcom has also had more than 2,000 complaints to date.

And the father of Miss Cohen, a call centre worker from Tamworth, Staffordshire, has criticised Cowell for overseeing the result.

Fitzgerald Cohen, 68, said that both Miss Cole and Cowell owed Miss Cohen an apology.

‘I think the judges get instructions as they go out on to the stage as to who they are supposed to keep in,’ he said.
‘I think if the judges let it go to deadlock, Treyc would have stayed. But I think they wanted to keep Katie in, so they refused to let it come down to the public vote.’

Mr Cohen, 68, added: ‘The main aim is to make as much money as possible, with no regard to people’s lives.’

Some 16.7million viewers watched Sunday’s programme.

An X Factor spokesman said: ‘A judge can abstain from placing a vote. Cheryl made it clear that she would not send anyone home and therefore abstained from voting.

‘Dermot went back to her to clarify that it was going to go to a majority vote if she did that. Cheryl was unable to take the vote to deadlock as deadlock requires a valid active vote.’

I'm not surprised, but I think sacking Cheryl is a bit much...

When Diva Fever where up against Belle Amie in the sing off, Simon didn't vote either but it didn't matter because he was the last to vote anyway. I would have thought the same should happen with Cheryl, or any other judge with two in the bottom. Then at least she could have taken it to deadlock.

As already said, I can't see Katie staying much longer. Surely if she is in the bottom two for a fourth time the producers must realise that she hasn't got a chance in hell of winning?

I watch it for the drama! Plus, if I didn't watch it, I couldn't converse with anyone other than my OH for the entire week because it's all anyone talks about.

Lmao Fair play! I hear ya hun! :D

Its not about her winning, its about the column inches she is producing in terms of media coverage. It is pretty obvious that the public are being led into not liking her (although that wouldnt be hard to do based on what you see of her backstage in its own right) - and thus keeping her on the show generates more interest, and accordingly, MORE VOTES for the others to try and get rid of her.

I have never liked the judges having the say on who stays. I think it is how they control the outcome of the public vote - and keep in the money spinners. Which is precisely why I never vote in these things unless it is the final and the judges have no say in the matter.

As i said before. Simon refused to vote when he had his two groups in the sing off. no fuss was made then and Treyc and Katie have been continously in the bottom two for the best 4 or 5 weeks.
Can't understand the drama about it.

I agree with you about the saying that it is an original if it isnt. But I think that it is a singing competition and not who can change the song and make it their own in a week competition. I mean they have to learn the new song, practice their bottom two song and then sing that cheesey group song on a sunday (which i always fast forward past)

I think that this subject is getting heated at the moment. I think that they should have both gone, didnt like either of them !!!!
