I love XFactor.

This makes very interesting viewing !!!!

:rotflmao: I cant believe someone has so little to do with their time that they put that together

I dont think Gamu has done too badly, shes had massive publicity for her deportation issues, has recorded a single, has a record contract, was never off the blooming telly for a while but the ungrateful little witch says X Factor 'ruined her life' EHmmmm hows that exactly

I watched it at my sister's house this week, but they talk all the time and complain about the songs and the singers, so I can never hear things properly.

But now I am home and I have watched it and the only two who were - in my opinion - any good this weekend were Katie and Cher. Rebecca was just about OK, the rest were boring.

Once Katie and Cher go, I will stop watching.

I honestly can't see the attraction of Cher!! I think her voice is quite weak when she is doing her 'ungangster stuff' although Stay was much stronger than Imagine! I find her rappy stuff very annoying although I suppose I see how it's unique and appeals to younger viewers! I just don't think she's as talented as lots of people think she is, but it's just my personal opinion and we all have different views and tastes I suppose! I agree that Katie was very good this week! X

Yes I agree Tara! Think Leona, she didn't do all that much moving about- a bit of marching up and down to a couple of more upbeat numbers but that was probably to tick the 'not a one trick pony' box! I am surprised none of the judges have pulled her up on this, but on the other hand nothing surprises me with those 4! I think they make it all up as they go along! I can't believe how much Simon has chilled out over the years! He is nowhere near as picky! I think he's realised that whatever happens and who ever wins, he'll be cashing in!X

Boy would I like my life ruined like that as I face the month end bills lol !!!!

The bookies are! lol I looked up Paddy Power, William Hill and Ladbrokes and none of them reckon Wagner will go next week.

Wont say any more though. But they were wrong about the lovely Aiden so who knows.

Please, please let them be wrong again. It makes such a travesty of the show seeing this goon get through week after week. Problem is he believes he is good !!!

UNIQUE !!!!!! There a thousands of rappers out there who could outshine her in a second. Difference is she went for the audition, they didn't.

Everyone thinks it is all about money with Simon it really ticks me off.
I hope you saw the news this morning and the International Emmy Awards.............

*
There was also a special honorary award for X Factor supremo Simon Cowell - who was recognised for his talent show creations and charity work. *

At least he shares his money around and has made so many charitable donations over the years without the the whole world being told. I remember years ago a lady who ran an animal sanctuary in the South of England saying that without Simon totally funding the sanctuary she would have had to close down years ago. He has funded treatment for cancer patients, treatment that should have been available under the NHS but wasn't, so he stepped in.

No there is a side to him that he doesn't publicise.

Can you tell I am a massive Simon fan lol !!!!!!

Ooh Sue, I too am a big fan of Simon do not fear! I just think he's really chilled out a lot over the years! The 'cashing in' reference may have been the wrong term! I know he does a lot of charity work and I hear he is a very lovely and generous man, but he has a business head on him and he can see the marketing and opportunities in many of the contestents and I think it's one of the reasons he's more relaxed these days, in the knowledge that the voters are primarily in control and what will be will be!! X

Unique aint the word I would use!

YouTube - Cher LLoyd Liar, Fraud & Unoriginal

Ooops!!!

Thanks for posting that. No she most definitely is not unique.

I have suffered the pain of listening to her. It just confirms that I do not really like her even though every now and again she appears to be a little better than the week before.

Yup !!! I think he is mega intelligent. So smart. Whilst he is making money for himself he also makes fortunes for the contestants lucky enough to be signed up by him. He changes lives.

Let's face it he entertains all of us each week and has us coming back for more every week of the contest.

Don't get carried away , yes he gives to charity - so what? He can afford it and as a percentage of his income is he more altruistic that a person on £80 a week who puts £1 in a charity tin or buys from a charity shop? It always makes me smile when I read about any "celebrity" that they do so much for charity that no one knows about. I read a story recently about a football player who "without him this child would not have an electric wheelchair", this is the side the public don't see eeerrrrr we are reading about it now! Somehow these stories "slip" out! Great publicity.

That is an attitude I dislike.

Any act of charity is meritorious whether it is from a multi millionaire or someone who will give a few pounds out of a low income.

Of course he can afford too, him and all those who are fortunate to be wealthy. Just because they can afford it doesn't mean they have to give.

Please don't think I have missed your point about the publicity. I haven't. In many cases as in the case of the animal sanctuary I mentioned it came from the recipient and not the donor and was unsolicited by the donor.

You are entitled to your opinion, but to say and I quote you........................

" Don't get carried away , yes he gives to charity - so what? He can afford it and as a percentage of his income is he more altruistic that a person on £80 a week who puts £1 in a charity tin or buys from a charity shop?"

is more than a little harsh.

I am one of the ones who can only ever afford a few pounds but expect no pat on the back and I am sure that the majority of those famous names who donate freely expect a pat on the back either.

No, I promise you I am not getting carried away at all.

I posed a question not a judgement. I don't think either example I gave is more worthy than the other and neither did I say a pat on the back was sought.

But when you buy music you buy it for the vocal sound not for how they move around.

True but theyre trying to sell the whole package shes just a singer, the others are performers.

It just seems the judges have rules for some and rules for others, loads of performers in the past have been critisized for not moving from the spot, Im sure Stacey was last year, yet she can stand like a shop dummy every week and its not commented on.

Forgive me if I missed the fact that it was a question. It did read ambiguously, or rather it seemed ambiguous to me, but then I am just a silly old lady !!!

Anyway on with the fun and the point of this thread.

The latest on todays xfactor news is............
matt-cardle-and-grace-woodward-pic-syco-entertainment-582401186.jpg

X Factor stylist Grace Woodward has responded to rumours she has been dating Matt Cardle in this week's Star Magazine.
Asked whether she had "even had a cheeky kiss" with the X Factor favourite, she says: “I can’t say that! No, I don’t think the bosses would be very happy about that, but we’re very close and there’s nothing to hide.
"People have just seen us having a good old Matty cuddle.”
Insisting that they had not been involved beyond a cuddle, Grace says that they do "talk a lot and we have a lot in common and are fond of each other".
"Because of the parameters of this show, there is no way we can do anything.

There was something about them on Xtra Factor...........

I didn't for a minute imply that I myself think that Cher is unique!! I was slating her in my comment! I was just trying to be diplomatic in saying that I appreciate that some people, perhaps some of the younger viewers may see her as 'refreshingly different' (perhaps a slightly better adjective) to other contenstants past and present on the show! Hope that clears things up! I don't always use the correct or appropriate terms so didn't mean to spark uproar lol!XXXXXXXX

Oh my, I do seem to be in trouble of late lol !!!:D

I don't think there has been any uproar just lively debate showing different opinions.

We all appreciate each others opinions and different views of the same artists.

Life would be dull without the freedom to debate .

Everyones opinion is as valid as the next persons.

Well I heard that Simon has a huge control over the winner and a group hasn't won the show....oh and Simon has a group in his category....:) wonder what might happen lol!!!!!

at the end of the day if you dont vote they dont win. to be honest i just enjoy watching the show and comentating from my sofa. i have never bought an album of anyone on the x-factor, pop idol, american idol etc and nor do i want to particularly want to see them in concert. give me good old "Foo Fighters", Richard Ashcroft or my softer side, Stevie Wonder.
This thread is getting a bit heated at times. I cant see why people air their views then have to apologise because someone disagrees with it.
Is it worth the arguing for X Factor.
