Oh he absolutely had massive control over the winner but that's completely different to him having control over who wins.

I don't think who the actual winner is matters that much to him he'll ensure the other good acts are signed up over the coming months. They're all tied to the show til the summer or something anyway.
 
i read in the paper yesterday that Will-i-am wanted to sign Cher if Cheryl hadnt put her through and he still wants to sign her.
