I am getting sooo left behind! Will try to do something tomorrow morning! I haven't had time or energy to go after school yet! Well done everyone!
Did my first Parkrun today. Managed to do it in 26:48 - I was 67th out of 139 runners - 17th of the ladies and 5th in my age category (35-39)
Well chuffed

One day I'll be there - Long Ashton is quite far from me and it's a well early start(!) but I'd love to give it a go. Looking at my training now I'll be doing it in about 33 minutes though. xx

3 miles last Friday in the blazing heat! Quick 1 mile run downhill then walked back up the hill (it was a monster hill) Wednesday. Sunday did 6.25 miles in the pouring rain
Congrats on entering the bristol half marathon Mandy!!

Good work on the 6.25 mile run - thats a 10K right there - are you doing any races/charity runs at all? I'm doing the 10K race for life in July - I guess now its a bit of a training sesh for the half marathon. I've run 10K already so not too worried about that one, but the 13 miler is a bit more daunting...
Hard to believe I couldnt run at all in Feb - couch25K really does work!
Mandy I think I am doing the same race for life as you Bristol 10K??
Yeah last year it was sort of two loops, you ran from the middle down ladies mile around circular road along the concrete, then parrallel to rockleaze and back along the same route, so back up ladies mile, then along the grass (outskirts of the park) near saville road, looped around 2 trees and back along same route, down to finish line.
It was a year ago though so please dont quote me!
Last year I trained for the 5k and did that in Bath, then 2 weeks later (after not a single run may I add lol) me and friend went along to the 10k to give support and went for a run around the park, we ended up joining in the race (didn't take medals etc) so I sort of did it by accident! But was so proud (did a walk 2 mins, run 8 mins most of the way round) that we finished it that I signed up for this year!
Cancer research made more money from it, as I told people Id ran double the amount so they had to double their contribution lol
