Total Solution I will do this!!

Well done on your 5lb thats fab! Glad you're staying on here and good luck with Billy! xxx

Sooo havnt posted in a few days because I've been so appauled by some things I heard about recently it's put me off coming on the forums. Anyway today was the last day of my Exante journey because I'm starting another vlcd tomorrow which is very similar, but it's got a lot more variety and it's 4 packs a day rather than 3. It's also averaging 480-550 cals a day and roughly 30-35 carbs. Take that exante!
I have 2 weeks worth to test it out. It's also slightly cheaper than Exante too!

Of course if it tastes like crap then I'll be switching back again. I'm hoping the new diet will keep ne in ketosis as I couldbt achieve it with Exante and have been so hungry I've wanted to eat my own limbs ever day! (proud to say I still have all of my fingers too!) Haha
Think it's making me a little crazy too!

Anyway weigh in tomorrow, fingers crossed I did 4lbs this week!! That will make me happyyyyyy x

whats been going on??? what have i missed???

Congrats on the 5 lb loss Hayley!! That's AMAZING! xx :D

Thanks guys <3 I'm so happy because 5lbs is my record loss in a week haha!

So back to billy!

Days calorie and carb count (excluding 50g turkey and 2 cups of coffee with almond milk): 481 calories 34.3 carbs.

I have been pleasantly surprised today! Apple and cinnamon porridge was yummy! Creamy and not "sandy" like yesterdays haha. However! There was a lot less and I didn't make it with enough water yesterday so I added a bit more today and disaster..... Runny porridge! I was gutted and didn't want to waste/miss out on a pack so I added a tablespoon of ready break! Probably not a good idea but I wasn't gonna have runny porridge lol.

Banana shake for lunch.... Was gross. Enough said.

Chilli for dinner ..... Omg! It was the tinyest portion (all the portions are v small) but it was bloody delicious! It was just like chilli without rice. There was so much flavour! Definitely a thumbs up for that one!

I have been very busy and quite active today, plus food shopping for the family, and it took its toll and I was starving! I picked up some cooked chicken and turkey and had 50g of turkey before dinner. Lowest calorie/carb meat so it's not too bad lol. I needed it!

Just finished the rest of my lemon pie crisp bar and it was sooooo good! Mmmmm and the fact u can choose ANY item on this diet means I could have one of those a day if I wanted!

So.... Exante porridge 1 billys porridge 1 (tie because I messed up and it was still tasty lol)

Exante banana shake 1 billys banana shake 0

Exante soup 0 billys chilli 1

Exante bar 1 billys bar 1

Slowly swaying to billy..... I'm desperate for a shake which I enjoy though. So far theyve been Yuck!

Tomorrow is original porridge, strawberry shake again (because I stupidly thought they were gonna be nice and got loads), veg soup, and chocolate crisp bar.

Noo wait I got a vanilla shake for tomorrow! Woooo no yucky strawberry till Wednesday lol x

Today's porridge was similar texture to Monday's. I think I'll try it on the hob tomorrow and add more water and reduce it to see if that helps. Been using the microwave so far.

Vanilla shake was.....meh....well best one yet but still nothing to get excited about. They are all so runny! It's bugging me that they have a strong sweetener taste too. The veg soup was okay.... Would have been better if I was able to season it properly..... I got this new pot of salt pepper and chilli. It's a grinder thing and wad brand new, and the stupid lid fell off when I was adding to my soup so half the pot fell in haha! Scooped out as much as I could, then put it through a sive and it was still spicy as hell! Just added some more water and drank it fast lol.

And as for the chocolate crisp bar....... Omg! Best thing so far!! The whole thing is dark chocolate and inside its sort of biscuity and a bit chewy and it's amazing! +++++++++++ lol I had a bite after lunch and had to stop myself from eating the whole thing. Gonna have a bath, lie down with a film and finish it off haha yummmmm x

Success! I don't know if I'm just getting used to the strange texture of the porridge, or if it's because I cooked it on the hob, but today's porridgewas MUCH better. Made with 200ml water and reduced on the hob it was really thick and a bit like ready break. Added a pinch of cinnamon to it and it was yummy :D putting a tick next to that one!

Weigh day!

1st weigh in on billys! And I lost 3.5 lbs! I round it down to the lower number cus I hate decimals! So 3 this week! Very happy I'm right on track and feeling good!

There are things I love and things I hate on this diet but the things I hate are slowly becoming more palatable. Taste buds are weird! X

Thank you :) yeah I was terrified at first! Because I was losing fine on exante but I was just bored! This is much more exciting and once you know what you like, you can just go and order what you want! You see the nutrition info before you order for each item too, so you re in control of the cals and carbs. And averaging 33 carbs a day.... Much easier to stay in ketosis! And it means I can relax about my coffee in the morning when I add some skimmed milk :D x

Well done glad your new plan is working well!!!

In the long run, that sounds like something that would suit me as well. I do think that the carbs in Exante are only getting me to borderline ketosis and I could easily tip over the edge with a cough sweet or some milk in the coffee which I sometimes just need.
I have done LC diets in the past before and have always lost well. My only problem was the monitoring of the quantities and I ended up eating so much that, although not gaining, I didn't lose any weight either. So doing a diet where you're given all the packs and off you go is great for me.
Have got a ton of Exante products and will work my way through them. But who knows, after that I might have a look around for a change :)
I'm really pleased it's working well for you. Keep up the good work and keep us posted :)

This is my first ever dieting experience and hopefully the last! I think I gained quite a lot of weight while pregnant and hormones etc, I've never really overeaten! Then after giving birth I focussed on my son and my paranoia got the best of me because of my baby belly, and instead of losing it, it kinda filled out again from lack of exercise and portions gradually getting bigger. That was 3and a half years ago now and I ate a lot of bread and pasta because it was quick! Only starting dieting 2 months ago I realised all the calories and carbs in those it's scary! I always though oh it's only pasta, I can have seconds!.... And look what I did to myself :/ I think a treat every so often is good for us mentally, but without the proper knowledge, we can get carried away with bad foods which we don't even know about! In future... More meat and greens, less pasta and bread lol x

Not really sure where I was going with that post, just started typing my thoughs lol

I know what you mean. I think that doing a diet which takes everything away makes you realise how much junk you had been shovelling down your throat before. I would think nothing of having a huge bowl of pasta or 4 slices of toast or 6 biscuits so no wonder I was fat. I hope I never go back to eating that way

Just read through and you are doing so well, How are you finding Billy's Diet now hun? Hope you've managed to find a 'favourite' tasting product now :) It's easier when you enjoy a flavour. Im a vanilla shake addict haha, in the whole 23 weeks, apart from the odd strawberry, banana and chocolate flavour... Every pack I have had has been mainly Vanilla lol! Still love them too :D xx

I love the exante strawberry shakes! As for billys, the chocolate one is the winner! The cafe latte is really nice too! And I think I'll get just a couple others for a change if I get bored. Picked 1 flavour porridge and lots of bars and main meals too :). The portions are pretty stingy though averaging about 5 tablespoons per portion haha. And the shakes are about 3/4 exante size but I really don't mind because there is more variety and less carbs. If I can work out how to post thumbnail pics using my phone, I'll post a before and now pic later! You'll have to excuse my hair in the 'now pic though as it is currently orange! Haha. I'm on a mission to turn my hair from dyed red/black to platinum, and I've only had 1 bleach so far! :D

Sounds like lots of variety, Im glad you're enjoying it hun :)

What days do you weigh in? Good luck on the hair too! xx

Hehe thank you very much! It's gonna cost a flippin fortune!
My weigh days are Mondays. Hopefully this Monday I'll be 10st 10 and next week I'll be 10 and a half stone! I'm sure I can do it!

Ordered my next lot of billys diet this evening. I chose the "extreme ketosis" plan which is between 400 and 500 cals and around 25 carbs a day. Pretty much guaranteed to lose weight. Gotta keep on top of my 3lbs a week target!! X

Interesting morning haha, I had a sneaky weigh today and I'm right on the edge of 10st10lb! Feeling quite proud of myself lol.

Little experiment with a teaspoon of thick porridge mix in the oven. I was hoping for a cookie like thing to have with my cup of tea, but it came out like a dry muffin sort of thing. I think it would be absolutely amazing if I mixed the whole pack with an egg, a small bit of butter, and maybe half a tsp of splenda! Morning muffin for 200cals and under 7 carbs :) as I've pretty much hit my target this week, I'm going to try this tomorrow haha. Will let u know how it turns out x
