IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

I'm looking forward to you all paying me now that you're trying my tofu yoghurt cakeTM recipe. I did mention I'd patented it, didn't I?

I don't know how said big isn't better - 'course it is ;)

Jaq responded re texture, but it's definitely not liquid... not firm either though. I use half a pot and save the other half for a week in the fridge with no problem (mind you this time I'll have to lug it over to Blighty with me? bet customs will be curious about that if they have a nosey in our boot!!)

Last night, I made a tofu yoghurt cake to take to England (as part of my emergency food supply), and because I had half a box left, I experimented with a LAZY tofu goji muffins receipe, without any egg yolks, and without beating the whites stiff.

So, for 2 days' oatbran, I used:
150g silken tofu
2 egg whites
1 full tablespoon goji berries
2 tablespoons fat free fromage blanc
4 tablespoons oatbran (and 2 tablespoons wheatbran)
and I simply stirred together, popped into six silicon muffin cases, and they went in the oven with the cake.

We had one each last night. Delicious tasting. Different texture than with egg yolks, more "moist" and less "bready" somehow, but not unpleasant. But they were very small. So I'd feel deprived with three of them for my breakfast! Next time must separate eggs and do them properly!

One evening remaining to get my act together, get the bags packed, and sort everything for leaving the cats :-( Unfortunately our usual cat feeder isn't around over Easter, so it'll be a total stranger for those two days (who is unlikely to even see them, cos they'll hide!), but she's had her "training" and is ready!

I'm glad to see that the good weather isn't breaking for my arrival. OK it mightn't be as hot as here where I'm going, but who'd have dared forecast this sort of April a couple of months ago?!

For the weight/diet shebang, I'll let you know how it all goes when I return... I'll be around today (and tomorrow) but thought I mightn't get chance to update my own diary!

If not, see you on the 2nd or 3rd... ish.

Have a wonderful trip.
Hope its not too stressy/mind gamey.

Its hazy here this morning but will be lovely later. I love that we've gone straight from winter coat to cardigan without the need to buy a spring jacket.

I can update them!

Morning Jo - dont forget to text. Have a safe journey over and have a lovely birthday and break xxxxx

I'm here until tomorrow 3pm your time... just that I'm not very good at updating my own diary!! :D

Oh gosh yes - it's a Public holiday for you guys tomorrow. I hope someone has time to log on and chat to me ;)

What are you all up to for Easter? All hoping to stay clean (Dukaners)?

ill be on tomorrow am Jo - at home tonight (1st night as non smoker on my own!)
Im planning on being good. His scales are 2lb different to mine (heavier) so its giving me incentive!!!!! Will go food shopping tomorrow - have got dinner with the parents and kids on sunday - roast pork and beef but i can just skirt round the tatos!!!

I'm so proud of you Vicky - day four and going strong, and I bet your breath, hair and clothes smell fabulous!! :D

When you're alone, would you normally smoke at home? Or go out to smoke outside perhaps? (I can't quite envisage you outside knitting, or doing crosswords, which I used to do a lot of when I first quit, but I didn't used to always go outside to smoke - aaaaah!). At least your dogs are getting plenty of exercise keeping you busy!

Tatos don't bother me. In fact, I'm planning a homemade bangers, mash and baked beans meal for the family Saturday. And I'm having MY food. I think it's easier for me to do this sort of thing. Just keep MY food to myself (and woe betide anyone who touches anything of MINE!)

Thankyou :D i dont know re the smell cos ive had a bunged up nose since I became a non smoker!
I used to sit on the back door step (classy) and smoke - i just dont go there now. Am at mums for a bit tonight after my hair do and then ill come back have my dinner and give myself a nice pedicure/manicure. I seem to be soooo hungry though!

Good for you having your own food - thats what i would do too. And making bangers mash and baked beans would work for me cos i hate baked beans!

Have a great trip Jo, don't worry about the food - you have planned as far as you can and then just enjoy your holiday being with your family & friends! I definitely am *blush*.... but strict PP today!
I don't think I'll get on here tomorrow before the evening - I'm booked by my kids ;-)

Smiling at you on the door step! haaaa! I think the "hunger" is mind hunger, truly, so keep glugging and keep busy... keep those HANDS busy.

Thank you Anja, and all... I've certainly great motivation this time for "doing my best" because I'm wearing the smallest clothes I've been able to get into for several years which actually means, for the first time EVER, that I don't need to buy any when in England! I've LOADS at this size!

possibly mind hunger yes. although am always like this on a friday (its friday to me cos i finish early)

go Viks non smoker eh !! you wont regret it xxx
Ill be about Jo no rest for the wicked here

Thanks :D dont feel any better for it at the moment though??

If you're always like it on a Friday (even when it's Thursday cos you're not working tomorrow), then it's blatantly obvious that it's mind hunger!

Just like my Sunday "what can I eat now?" constant inner whine!
