Taking advantage of extra healthy extras today on a green day. Cheese & potato pie was a 1st attempt yesterday & even though I was abit dubious putting my pyrex dish of gloop into the oven, it turned out lovely, tasty & filling. I got three big portions out of it, so finishing it off today. :eatdrink023:

Weather has gotten cold, brrrrrr:winter_brr:

I want to join the club, I have freezer envy too ! :p

Kay just think of that 1lb in the terms of a large squishy packet of sausages,ha ha gone from your body. Don't get disheartened, vent on here,we can be your group. I'm gonna through your curry recipes later, see what ingredients I have & rustle something tasty up.

Hope you're well on the road to recovery after your op & hope you have a lovely week XXX

Hi Issy :wavey: ,

Thanks for asking about me. I've had a few rough days, not been feeling well. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Friday for a check up, hope it all goes well. Since my op have not been able to focus on SW as much as I would like to. I have been eating a lot of comfort foods. I did do my food shopping day before yesterday but found things creeping into my basket, which I did not put there, promise ! :D

Your doing so well, I'm really happy for you. Was looking at your food diary, I love Quorn products too. Infact I make a lot of my curries using quorn they come out yummy and it's free ! :p I have their cookbook and I love their website which has fab recipes most of which are free.

I will attach a link if you fancy whipping something up one day using their products. I'm sure you will love their recipes :) .

Hi Kay,

Thanks for the link, I like to mix my days between extra easy & green, never used quorn or meat-free products before SW & really like them.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling great, hopefully the surgeon will give you good news on Friday, I'm sending you some happy good vibes :vibes:

I've stopped shopping without a list otherwise I too would have a trolley full of naughties by the time I reach the checkout. Must be harder living in the Uk though coz you've got such a variety of shops & products, we're pretty limited here.

Speaking of comfort food, that cheesy potato pie was like that & fulla veg so healthy but felt lovely. I also jazzed my SW wedges up last nite but putting them back in the oven covered in homemade salsa & topped with cheese, it felt very filling & I was sooo stuffed after, I couldn't fit any rubbish in.

Girls quick question...................CHORIZO, now in the book its listed as 100g is 6.5syns on an EE day, now I loooove the stuff but looking at the cal count on the packet is so high, Aldi version 100g is something like 464kcal, so I've been avoiding using it. Should I just go with the book, use a 100g & 6.5syns????

What do yis think???? Was thinking of doing chicken, chorizo & veg dish, the 100g would prob be spread over a few portions, I'm just wondering can it actually be this low??

I'll bring it up on class on Monday & see what consultant has to say.

Don't forget on ee or original you only 'pay for' the fat in anything meaty so it probably is quite low

Yeah you're prob right, it's just a foodstuff I would've avoided using on a "diet".

Hee hee I'm off to the fridge to weigh it out & syn it.

Howse your day going Princess?? Tis gone cold here, I'm gonna root out the winter boots & hats, scarves & gloves for the kiddiwinks today.

Had a late breakfast & wasn't that hungry today, had to conciously eat a load of fruit to make sure I got my superfree covered.

Thursday : Extra Easy Day (1x heb, 1xhea)
Weekly HeA-100ml skimmed milk & mozzarella cheese
HeB- wholemeal bread

Brunch: Cheesy scrambled eggs, baked beans & toast

Dinner: Chicken, chorizo 4syns, peppers, onions, mushrooms, passata, spices & roasted baby spuds

Snacks: banana, apple, nectarine, hi-fi light bar 3syns

TOTAL SYNS : 7

I enjoyed the chorizo, hadn't had any in ages. Made enough for lunch tomorrow.

Hi Issy... Tis gone very cold, dull, windy and raining here too!! :sigh:
Autumn well and truly here without a doubt.

Sounds like you're keeping on top of things... well done.

Hi Emmaline,

I'm alot more prepared this week, so finding it alot easier this week. I'm looking through all my SW recipes for some tasty meals.

Chorizo sausage. Can`t remember the make but it was whole sausage not sliced and from the pkt it worked out 20g for 3 syns. If I bought sliced 10g was one syn, but not a lot of taste in the sliced when cooked.

Looking on line generally it seems also to depend on the maker.

Not used for a while but must get some again.

Oh thanks Nanny Doreen, I used 50g from the chorizo ring from Aldi, so prob need to double the points value for today, 7.5syns for the whole recipe.

I was unsure as the books just say 100g is 6.5syns & it seemed very low.
