Thanks Footiewidow & gigglepants! I was just wondering when does ketosis usually kick in??? Hunger woke me up twice last night :( Just drank water and managed to go back to sleep.

Anyways start of Day 4, feeling a bit low in mood, cant think of any reasons :( Just gotto keep going! "one day at a time"

Don't think ketosis is an exact science and I have never used the ketosticks. I just sort of assume when I'm not feeling so hungry I must be in it.

I think I read on someone elses thread that every time they have done a VLCD they have got the blues and felt low around day 3/4. Perhaps it's that and your mood will pick up if you stick with it. Hope so anyway. X
 
I hope it passes quickly......I know am an emotional eater and the mood isnt helping :( Maybe I am just sleep deprived and feeling tired, my daughter had a rough night and kept waking up often....hope its just tat. Just got to get thru the day and hope tomm I feel a lottt better.

Day 4 down Yaaaay!

3 more days before my week 1 weigh in on Thursday. Feels like its gone quickly :D tho I have to admit I been pretty I been sort of Logged on to the forum most of the time. Keep me motivated to carry on. Thanks again for lovely comments and support.

Though I woke up feeling a bit low and hungry....after I had a whole bar and a big mug of coffee felt much better (I usually split up the bar) No more hunger pangs after that :D I hope my days ahead r smoother , I love waking up happy :)
I keep calculating and recalculating hw much I need to lose to gt to target on time, but I hope tat doesn't put me down when I don't achieve targets. I have to rem some weeks might be slower than other. Note to self: first get thru week 1;)
Come on Day 5 .... Am ready for u ;)
 
Sounds like you're doing great Naz! It will be worth it on the scales :)

I feel a lottttt better than yest. Once again I am soooo grateful for Alll the support on here and family *soo touched* just like everyone here who is nudging me on, my sis is calling me up daily to chck on me and my OH keeps telling me how well I am doing ....thanks everyone :heartpump:

Well done Naz. Fantastic attitude today. Don't look too far ahead for imaginary failures. Adopt AA's mantra of 1 day at a time. Don't forget every pound is a pound less and a pound nearer goal.

Your reasons for doing this and goal date almost mirror mine (I have a family cruise booked for 15/12/12) and allowing for my rubbish maths our weight to lose isn't far adrift either. Onward and downward. X
 
Hey Fw, I have abt 6stns to target but wud be quiet happy with 5 Stones before my trip!We have the same goal date! So about 5 and half months to go! Yaa we can do it! Onward and downward it is! Xxx
 
Day 6

Day 5 was ok I stayed 100 % but missed half a pack (fell asleep with daughter) and drank less than 2L water.

Woke up hungryyyyy today. Can I have the half pack leftover today?? What do u guys think?

Ok me ready for day 6:)
 
Hi Naz, don't know the official line but I can't see that it would hurt. Clearly it won't take you out of ketosis and the cumilative amount of calories in the week will be the same. Some of the shift workers on this forum have to juggle their packs to cover nights etc so I don't see it is much different. Don't know wot others think? X
 
Hi Naz and welcome! i can't see that having your pack will do any harm but i think you need to make sure that you are having 3 packs every day and your water, this seems to be very important and the water does stop you getting the hunger pangs, keep up the great work i can't wait to see your WI results xx:)
 
Hey, I knwwwwwwwwww hw imp it is to have all meals and water :ashamed0005: But today me been good, had 3L of water till nw and I still have half meal left. I thot I shouldnt have extra so had 2packs till nw and the half left....hmm will tat do more harm than gud?

Feeling gud today! I wud be thrilled with a 10lb my first week :) *crossing my fingers* :D

Day 8

Week 1 weigh in 10 lbs!! Wooohooo!

Still struggling with water :( I still haven't managed 2L ...any tips on how to keep up water intake ??? I am happy with the meals and managing fine :) *touch wood*
I am gonna try my best and not weigh myself everyday....but I am gonna struggle...weigh in keeps me motivated but it has it's down side , gets me down when there is no lose or very little lose...aren't I making it harder for myself!!

Anywayss, roll on week 2! Wish I get half the weight loss of week 1 and I would be on cloud 9!

I find I drink less when I'm at home - so to get around that I try and have a 500ml bottle of water every couple of hours (I aim for 3L a day). Today I was at work & had 2.5L by 2pm, but it was mega hot so figured I probably needed a bit more-think I'm on 3.5L now!

I drink from a 2L bottle so probably seems daunting at times....hmmm shd get a smaller bottle,that might help. Thanks for the tip :) xx
