It's Now Or Never

Well my running partner has let me down today, which is a bit of a *****. Gonna be hard motivating myself for over an hour of running on my lonesome. :-(

But thank you, I am feeling much more positive about my lb loss today. I remembered some of the naughties from last week. And I still maintain, that the secret is to string two good weeks together and I'll be back on form.

Right, I shall get psyching myself up for this run!

Whaddya know. Bumped into another friend going to get changed for the run, so went with him instead. (Does this mean I am a running whore?) :).

Headed east this time and ran over Tower Bridge, really enjoyed the run and it was good to try another route. Covered 5.1 miles in the end, which took 50 mins. Feeling pretty pleased with myself. Next run is with another bloke from work on Thursday. :)

It comes of working on IT. It can be quite male dominated. All strictly platonic though.

I may have identified a very cute biker though that I've been swapping BSB pics with this afternoon. I'd like to straddle his throbbing engine.... (oops, did I say that out loud?). ;-)

You most certainly did!...and I love it!;)

I'm gonna try and stop the flex-synning now, I'm hoping I've got it back under control.

Early night for me. Gonna get tomorrow's breakfast ready. Think I'll treat myself to a lunch from the staff restaurant. Jacket potato and baked beans with salad. They do shredded beetroot and I fill my plate up with the stuff, its soooooooo yummy!

Right now I'm pooped though. So I shall curl up on bed with my OU book. Night all x

Yay - Pinkies back! Good to see you again chica.

You mentioned a plateau.
Well . . . Lily mentioned something called Set Point theory. Set points are those weights at which you maintained for a while during the period that you were gaining weight. So when you try to get back DOWN through it your body gets stuck!

Now I was 12 st 7 lbs for about 5 years whilst gaining, and on the way down it took me 2 whole months of 1/2 on, 1/2 off to get past it! Maybe you are at a Set Point! Have a think about it.

Good on the running too chica and well done on flexi-synning and moving back to 15. Don't so it too quickly though. Better to be happy than cheat and snack!

Welcome back hun.

Hey Bev! Thank you :)

I've just done a little internet research on this and you could have a point. I have got to this weight (thereabouts) and plateaued before. It seems a sustainable exercise regime and healthy eating diet are the way forward to reset it. Which is basically what I am doing. So good news there.

Inside I really do feel that another on plan week or two and I will have cracked it. I guess that's back to sustaining my approach. My cycle has been a bit erratic too, which I don't think has helped.

Anyhoo. I've been awake a couple of hours now, and need to be up for work in two and a half hours. I'm shattered!

Oh Pinkie, its pants when you aren't sleeping. But at least I can snooze during the day if I need to. It must be rotten having to go to work.

Hope you are okay to day on what is obviously very little sleep.

((( Hugs ))) chica

Cheers Pomette. I managed to grab about another half an hour. But you just get on with it don't you. Been too busy to feel the fatigue. Got ironing to be done, then some OU. I shall try to stay out of bed till 11. I've been waking a lot lately, getting annoying now.

Todays food....

Breakfast:
Mixed fruit, branflakes (HEb), shape yoghurt.

Snack:
Skinny capuccino (half HEa). Banana and Apple.

Lunch:
Jacket potato, baked beans, sweetcorn with lettuce and loads of shredded beetroot. Was bloody gorgeous.
Shape yoghurt.

Snack:
Skinny capuccino (remaining HEa), crunchie (9 syns). Banana and apple.

Dinner:
Treatsize bag of maltesers (5 syns).
Supernoodle omlette with lots of salad leaves.
Mixed fruit and two shape yoghurts for pud.

Total syns: 14.

Feeling much better about it all today. I feel slimmer in myself, though that's probably just cyclical. I'm really hoping I drop below the 13st 7lbs mark on Monday.

Have some good weekends coming up too. My wee boy is at home the WHOLE weekend this week, then I'm on my cycling trip next weekend (84 miles Reading to Bath in the end, my mate from work is coming with me now), then I'm off with the bairn for half term. Then out that Sat after football with some of the old gang who used to all go out after games. Then the following week my sister is coming up for a girlie night. For me that's all pretty exciting. And my first OU essay will be due in just after that too, so that should keep me on my toes.

Back to the immediate future. Tomorrow's breakfast and lunch are packed just need to get my kit ready. I'm going for another run. This time with my old boss. Hoping to do a full 10k tomorrow.

Oh and wish me luck. I'm off to the investment board tomorrow to secure money for my project. Typically anyone who could make it hard for me has. So I'm a bit worried I may not get it, which will be a real pain. Maybe that's why I'm not sleeping.....?

Anyway, the ironing won't do itself. :) x

Ironing!
I used to be phobic about it, now I tend to do a batch, then iron 'on demand'...saves it creasing in the wardrobe:8855:
Good luck for your investment meeting xxx

Thank you Lynne :). Yeah I never used to bother when I was married. But I try and keep on top of it. When I see piles of the stuff it just depresses me. Or I avoid using the front room whilst it piles up. I shall stick my motorbikes on for half hour and get it out of the way. Bracing myself!

Good luck at the Investment Board. I used to hate having to beg for money - which is how it always felt to me.

Hope you manage to get some more sleep tonight chica.

Nope I'm bloody awake again. Yep and its the IB on my mind. Grrrr. And my slim feeling has disappeared. I'm fat and flobby again lol

I'll be gagging for this run at lunchtime. Though a session in the pub could be fairly appealing too.

Nope, I'll be good!

Now, red dress for the morning? Something bold, go in for the kill? Must shave legs then..... Need to get up early.... Must sleep..... Gah!
Lol

Hey Pinkie

Thanks for your post on my page, sorry I've not been around for a while, had my trip away with the girls and fell off the waggon! Gained 3lbs from my trip, lost 1lb last week and put 1lb on tonight - pah! Anyway I've had a chat with myself and am back on board!

Hope you and Beanie are well, will have a good read through your pages later.

Much love Chica xxxxxxx

Lol, cheers girls. Well I've got my cash on completion of a couple of outstanding points. Never been through that process before, so I'm fairly pleased with all that. All a learning experience.

Did a run today too, 6 miles in 58m 33s. I'm a bit pooped now, could seriously do with a decent sleep tonight.

Have been a bit piggy too....

Breakfast:
Mixed fruit, branflakes (HEb), shape yoghurt.

Snack:
Large skinny capuccino (5/6 of HEa)

Run.

Lunch:
Savoury rice, chicken with lots of salad

Snacks: 2 x apples, 2 x bananas. V small skinny capuccino (rest of HEa plus 1.5 syns).
Shape yoghurt.

Tea:
2 Treatsize crunchie bars (8 syns). Maltesers (5 syns).
Supernoodle omlette.
Mugshot.
Mixed fruit and 2 shape yoghurts.

Total syns: 14.5

So a bit piggy like I said. But all on plan. Should have had salad with the omlette, but I do believe the big bowl of fruit will count as my superfree. Plus I think over the day it definitely all adds up. Phew!

Still chatting to biker boy. About bikes, of course. But I'm not even sure if he's single. Prob not knowing my luck. He's certainly chatty and friendly enough via email. Ha! Gawd knows, I really am useless with the opposite sex and will almost certainly be single for the rest of my days :)

Am in bed now, bloody shattered. Got to take my bike in for a few bits and bobs before my little trip next Friday. Probably left it a bit late, but we'll see, I'll get done what I can. Getting excited now!
