Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

we normally make it a Mother/Daughter day, get the shopping done and head to the cinema or something. This is the first year she has a brother we need to consider though so we'll need to make it for a day that my husband isn't working. We can have a girls day and the boys can stay home and do their thing. Hubby insists that he and our son have 'man chats' I told him he is too young to speak about sex so he says they stick to cars and beer :p

haha, hubby is a godsend he makes me laugh as well. It's too long a story to bore you with but I was headed for a breakdown I think when I met him and he pretty much saved me. He wasn't in a good place himself at the time either so I helped him too, I like to think we were just meant to be.

Anyhoo, before i fall into being all mushy! I had cottage pie for tea made with mince, potato, sweet potato and carrot, and I have had a banana with a total greek yog mixed with options, it really is yummy! Dizzy and texty both said so and you were right!

I've averaged 13 syns per day since wed so not quite the 12 I meant but not too bad. I have bought wholemeal rolls and good quality burgers and sausages for the BBQ so with any luck I can ask for one of my own and know they are free/low syn.

In other news, I have completed week 7 of couch to 5k :) this week was 3 x 25 minute sessions but tonight I did an extra minute just to see :)

wish I was.....:4635:

lol teething baby woke up at 0445, put stuff on his gums and he settled a while but not long. Up at 0530. YAWN, and got a sponsored walk to do today and BBQ, will be snoozy lol, glad I went to bed early last night tho, was asleep before 11 so I shouldn't be too bad.

I have decided that having stuck to the diet for 2.5 weeks now without any forward steps happening that I need to do something, even with a couple of SE days mixed in my scales haven't gone down, in fact this morning they went up again! Not that I'm expecting that to stay.

I'm going to start taking my metformin again, from all my research into my troubles it is insulin resistance that causes my problem- my body doesn't recognise it, the metformin helps with that. I stopped taking it because I thought it was causing my tummy troubles, but clearly it wasn't as I still have it. I'm also thinking I might start using myfitnesspal - just to see how much calories I am actually eating. Because although sw doesn't count calories it does assume we are eating less calories by following the programme. Perhaps some of us still eat too much? I'm going to try having the metformin, and eat as I have been and see what it says. If that doesn't work I'm going to move to original days and reduce my carbs, which will be tricky as all fruit are carbs, but it might not be helping me so.... need to find a way to move forward.

Morning hun, sounds like you had an early one this morning! My lil' bundle of joy woke at 11pm and 2am then up at 6am so was a good night for us. Tonight they are both staying with my parents so that means a nice lie in for me tomorrow!:D simple things eh!

Sorry you are not happy with the way things are going weight wise. I sometimes think the same things, am i eating too much even although it's free it' does have calories and surely they add up the more you eat?? although i think i only eat a normal portion i do wonder sometimes. Would be interesting to see calorie wise how much we actually eat.

Hope you enjoy your walk and bbq today hun, and hope the weather is good for you, it's raining here just now but looks like it may clear up later. My sister and hubby are back from australia now so we are having a family get together at mine today so going to make homemade meatballs & sauce with pasta for lunch.

xxxxx

I hope you have a lovely night off from the kids tonight! will be lovely for you to have a lie in :) I demand one from hubby when I feel I need one, but it's different with your OH working 90 hours I doubt he could help too much.

I wouldn't worry about your portion sizes Lynne, you are losing weight at a great rate which suggests your body is working properly (unlike mine) there is no need for you to complicate things when it's all working for you! Meatballs sounds yummy, I haven't made those yet but I might do soon.

It's not easy getting a lie in normally so can't wait! poor hubby will be up and away at 5am as usual though:)

I make my meatballs the same as my burgers (as my daughter loves that recipe) but think i will do a few tweaks to the sauce today.

Yeah my body does seem to be doing the right thing but it does wait until the last min! I am guilty of checking the scales before a wi lol and they tend to sts until the day of wi  no idea why that is lol. xxxx

it's been a really lovely day, our walk through the woods was pleasant, around 3-4 miles (going to say 3 on my body magic chart) Then I popped home for my hay fever eyedrops then across to friends house for BBQ, excellent company and yummy food and just one of those afternoons that you'd be happy to last for days!

No idea how many syns I might be on, going to try to estimate it in a minute but to be honest I don't care really because I don't often do stuff like that.

I'm tired now tho, so will be happy to chill for a bit then shower and bed.

I've spread my syns across my previous days spare ones and I think I'm only a few over averaging it out. Although I have forgotten to count a sausage  and can't be bothered going back onto the sw diary to count it in haha. I'll continue the week trying to stick to 12 per day and it should average out fine by wi. Not that it means I will lose anything with my body mind you but you never know!

I was chatting about it to some other friends earlier, and we concluded that 2lbs per month is still almost 2 stone per year, so if that is how it's going to go then so be it. It's going down that's all that really matters and I am working on my fitness too so doing all I can for my health - there really isn't anything else I can do, so I have to just accept it how it is :)
