Izzyhew's dizzy start to diet......

it's inspiring to read hun, and we all get to know one and other through it :) xxxx

I totally agree Lynn. You can generally tell who is genuine. I feel that being able to write down how I feel good or bad really does help. Keep going Izzy

Evening everyone :)

Been a busy day here chez Izzy, went to visit a friend this afternoon, then my manager dropped in to see me and give me a new ID card, so we had a catch up and a cuppa, then band practice. In between all that I tidied my hallway and re-arranged my kitchen. I wanted to make room for the buggy as Baby has his naps just now in the buggy in the hall but summer hols are imminent and his sister will be in and out all the time disturbing him so wanted to be able to wheel him into the kitchen.

Banana and yoghurt for breakfast, mugshot pasta for lunch, and fish with tomato puree and HE cheese on top with a few potato wedges and lots of parsnip ones and carrots. Also had 2 syns worth of scan bran cake, greek total yog with options, 1 jaffa cake. Syns have ended up at 12.5 because I ran out of frylight and used a spoon of olive oil. Still not had HEB tho.

In other news, baby crawled properly tonight, and hubby has been promoted, which means when I go back to work all being well I will have wednesdays off :) yay!

Evening Izzy hun you sure have had a busy day - I hope the scales are kind to you tomorrow. Well done on the jogging thats brill x

sts for me this week :rant2: which is frustrating, but I have my plans.

Izzy's plans for survival....

1. Re-read my pcos book.
2. Read my IBS book.
3. continue getting back on metformin, been taking one/day at breakfast, so will move up to having one at tea time too. Was supposed to be on one at lunch as well but moving up to 3 made me ill, so I can't see that happening really, but 2 was ok-ish.
4. Continue monitoring my calories on myfitnesspal
5. Go lower carb - I already know this will help so I don't think I should faff around deciding about it anymore. I won't cut carbs all together, but will try more red days.

Had a banana and a yoghurt so far.

Teddy bears picnic today with my baby group, at the park if the weather holds up :) so that will be about 1.5 miles or more walking there and back, and jogging tonight too.

Happy wednesday minis :)

Well done hubby, well done little one for crawling glad you will get Wed off, good day in all.

STS - no need to say too much, sure it will come off next week. Good to read up on stuff, I do that sometimes.

Enjoy the Teddy bears picnic. I used to love those with the grandchildren.

at least it wasnt a gain hunni, and like you said you have a plan x

congrats to hubby on his promotion thats great!

aww lil ninja is crawling! he's all growd up lol

Enjoy your teddy bears picnic today hope it stays dry! xxxxxxx

Great news about hubby's promotion and baby crawling - what a super exciting day for you!

Glad to see the STS isn't getting you down any, as Lynne said at least it's not a gain. Did you ever take your body measurements? Maybe all of this jogging is affecting that rather than your weight? x

I agree with Bev about taking your measurements, it really does help for those weeks you don't lose anything. Remember it doesn't always show on the scales but I'd much rather see that parts of my body were getting smaller than see that the number on the scales has gone down. Hope all is ok xxx

Clever Lil NINJA

congrats to Hubby on his promotion

Good to see the STS hasn't dampened your spirits :) xxx

I too had a STS this week....had 1 naughty off plan thing yeaterday...My first since starting SW again, FISH & CHIPS on the way back from hosp as it was a pig of a long day....and i end up with a STS  how piggin unfair is that Pmslllllll ;):p onwards and downwards as they say!! xxx

I had lost my tape measure but have found it again, and found some measurements I took last November. I was 12st 12 then which is only 2 higher than now (I gained a little over christmas and new year) anyway my bust and hips haven't changed but my waist is 5cm smaller. however you have to remember in November I would only have been around 6 weeks after giving birth so my waist probably hadn't resettled yet.

At least I now have up to date measurements for future comparisons :)

Dizzy I'm going to be naughty tonight too (no you filthy minded lot not that sort of naughty- well not that I'm admitting to) Hubby suggested a take away earlier and I was hesitant to begin with but like he said I haven't had a take away for a few months, and he wants to celebrate his promotion and I want to celebrate being able to have wednesdays off lol. So we're going to have a night off. I will be back on it tomorrow tho.

I have arranged to meet my two managers tomorrow at 11 to discuss all my requests regarding returning to work, feels like it's all happening far too fast now! Just under 9 weeks left to enjoy my time off. I do feel better about it knowing I will have my wednesdays though, I am already loving wednesday!

My manager has said I am due a new van and will likely get it before I go back as well so it will be nice to start back with a new van, new start sort of feel. I need to order bigger trousers though which is sad lol ah well.

I feel very lucky right now, despite my sts, because there is so much more to life than my weight xxx

loving the positivity :D and well done to hubby getting a promotion :)
you hit the nail on the head with it not just being about diet. I am a victim to this... only concentrating on that and then other things go wrong... then that just affects my diet... vicious circle but we can get out of it :)
enjoy your naughty treat :D xx

Evening Izzy well done on the STS - as the other ladies have said glad to hear your not down about it. Your post radiates positivity thank you, you are so right we all have so much to be thankful for xx

Agree with everyone about the positivity. I don't feel so bad about my STS after reading some of your recent posts, so thank you! x

It is a lovely thought to know I have helped some of you with your own positivity :)

Wow! I wasn't expecting that lol !! :D dunno what i WAS expecting :p aint you a clever dark horsie then;) xxx

lol, not really clever or a dark horsie, but I know it's not what people expect. I have done it for 21 years now so although I am still in a minority in a mostly mens world it was even moreso when I started. On wednesdays when my daughter is at gymnastics a friendship has developed between myself and 2 other ladies who are also there waiting for their kids, after several weeks the question arose of what my job was and once it was all out one of them said she had thought I might be a teacher, and the other thought I might be a social worker. It's an aspect of myself I like - not being what people expect.

I am still sat here in my jim jams, need to go get dressed though as need to leave at about 10 for my meeting.

No idea how many syns I had last night but it ends there, and I didn't go loopy I had my takeaway and that was it no other rubbish or alcohol.

I'm going to start and put all my days eating on one post towards the end of each day, so it will be easier for anyone to pick flaws in it for me :) I will also add all my snacks etc as I don't always, although I have always accounted for them using my sw online food diary so they have always been counted somewhere.

Well my meeting went well, they agreed for me to drop my hours from 37 to 32 per week, agreed to the hours and days I have asked for, and the holiday dates I have requested. Also sorted out my childcare vouchers and some other bits and pieces.

Baby is being grumpy, I've never understood why something as natural as teething still hurts, evolution should really have sorted that out! He doing more crawling though too cute!

Food for today was as follows (although I haven't had my tea as going to treadmill once the kids are in bed)

breakfast: muller lite yoghurt, banana, pear

lunch: 2 slices HE wholemeal toast, some ham, 1/2 tin beans (OMG 8 syns as an original day!!!!)

tea: Chicken with small veg mountain

snacks: orange, jaffa cake (2.5) scan bran ferrero rochet thingies (2.5) Sugar in earlier cuppa (1)

current synage 14, and I don't plan to add to it. I will have my chicken and veg after my jog, and I can have fruit or free yoghurt if I am hungry later.
