evening meal was broccoli soup followed by some local White fish and salad. I had one small piece of bread which was about as big as a slice off a French stick. It was delicious bread. For desert I had black coffee. I asked for very little olive oil on the salad and fish and they hardly used any. I wonder how many syns the bread was or would it count as a healthy extra?

Morning.

Breakfast: omelette with Tom and onion. Used oil so shan't have that again. Spoonful beans and tomato. Fresh fruit was melon, pineapple and 6 grapes. I zero fat apple and cinnamon Yog. Found 3 sultanas in it not on ingredients but I'm sure they won't make much difference. Might try 1 slice of toast tomorrow with beans and tomato.

Pinched some fruit for lunch :eek: tangerine, apple and two plums.

Drank water and black decaf coffee.

I'm a creature of habit :). There will be no justice in the world if I gain on this holiday!

Evening meal: smoked salmon with salad. Small bit of bread torn off hubbies. Couldnt resist a taste. My main was pasta with toms, corgettes, onions, peppers, herbs and a little mozzarella cheese. It was delicious. There was some olive oil on both but ive not had much else today so hopefully ok.

My fruit from brecky (eaten mid afternoon ) was 2 plums, tangerine and an apple. I bought some nestle fitness bars from the supermarket. They are 93 cals each so I reckon 5 syns max and I've eaten one. I've had no healthy extras this week so the bar could count as that. I've had no milk either come to think of it!

I'll be sooooo miffed if I don't lose any weight this hol. I've not drunk any alcohol and really have only had black coffee or water.

There is a big party on here tonight and the music is so loud. Can't complain yet as it's only 10.30 here. I think I'm showing my age :eek:
 
Just thought....the cheese in my pasta probably equates to my dairy allowance for the day :)

Breakfast: 1 slice brown bread toasted. 2 fried eggs done in minimal oil and a spoonful of beans.
Melon, grapes and pineapple. Black coffee with just a drop of milk in one of the cups.

Snack: one cereal bar at 5 syns max. 2 plums, tangerine.

Drinks so far: water and diet coke.

Really really enjoyed my cereal bar, even though it was a bit cardboardy :)

Sun is very hot today. Going for an amble around the nearby village much later this afternoon. It's too hot to walk anywhere right now!

Evening all.

We went to a restaurant we probably won't go to again. It was ok but not fabulous. I had parma ham and melon followed by pasta with mix veg and toms. I drank water and ate no bread. A pretty good evening I think.

Afternoon all. I hope everyone is not eating too many syns today!

My breakfast: zero fat Yog,one slice brown bread toasted, beans and scrambled egg. Melon, grapes and pineapple.

I've drunk black coffee, water and diet lemonade today.

I think I'll have a coffee with a drop of milk in, I'm feeling really hungry.

Snack: 1 plum and 1 tangerine.

Eating in the hotel tonight in the Italian restaurant.

It's been a blazing hot day again, a little too hot really.

Oh dear! I've synned!

Just had evening meal:

two small brown bread rolls (no butter or olive oil)
Prawns wrapped in parma ham with salad - covered in olive oil!
Sea bream grilled on a bed of sauted cabbage with pine nuts, onions, Palma ham, and other stuff I.e. Few raisins etc. Skewer of mini roast new potatoes.
Strawberry fruit tart which was delicious :D
To drink: one sip of hubby's wine, to taste, and water.

I don't suppose it was too bad..... I dont know what came over me!

Heyho tomorrow is another day :)

Good morning, it's another beautiful sunny day in Gozo.

Breakfast: small spoonful scrambled egg and the same of beans. Small rasher of bacon and left all visible fat. Pineapple, melon and grapes. Zero fat vanilla yogurt at about 100 cals the tub. Didn't have a slice of toast to make up for one of the brown rolls I ate last night.

In my bag for later: two plums, a tangerine and a cereal bar.

Drinks so far: black decaf coffee and water.

Hi!

Evening meal was ok ish. Salad with balsamic and olive oil and assorted roasted nuts! Picked out all the nuts and gave them to hubby. Ate half a small bread roll. Main course: fillet steak with mustard crust. The crust was two round biscuity mustardy things on top of my two pieces of steak. Probably shouldn't have eaten them, but I did! Roasted veg which seemed to be soaked in olive oil and mini roasted new potatoes. I resisted desert but had decaf coffee. I couldnt resist the two tiny biscuits it came with, I ate those whilst hubby was scoffing tiramasu!

Went to the bar for a nightcap and had more decaf coffee whilst hubby quaffed wine followed by zambuka. Unfortunately, peanuts appeared on the table and ended up in my hand and then in my mouth. Odd how that happened :)

Tomorrow we are off to Malta for a few days to see our son. I'll endeavour to mend my ways which seem to have slipped for the last two meals. I have tried to pick healthy options and cut right back at breakfast and during the day so , hopefully, my weight won't be too bad. I've also cut out alcohol completely so that must have saved me loads of syns.

You are doing great. Don't feel bad about the last few meals you've had, I think you've done exceptionally well being away on hols and doing so well!

Just enjoy yourself, hope you have a great time visiting your son :)
 
Hi everyone. Busy day today travelling from Gozo to the st julienne area of Malta.

Breakfast was the usual, egg, bacon, beans fruit, Yog, coffee.

Snacks: water and black coffee around valetta.

Evening meal: red prawn risotto, sea bream with sticky rice and a few veg. Two black coffees and one tiny tiny square of some sort of cake. Smaller than a teaspoon tiny. I also had one of those small spicy biscuits you get with coffee sometimes. Resisted desert and the choccies which came with my coffees!

Lovely to see son. Going out sailing with him tomorrow and then spending the day on a beach Wednesday. Watching him in a tenpin bowling tournament Thursday am (Thursday is a public holiday in Malta) and then flying home in the afternoon. I'll then have until Wednesday weigh in to try and correct any gains. Hopefully it won be too bad.

I feel so full tonight.

Oh dear! I've just eaten a bag of crisps. I was soooo hungry. I had melon and pineapple for breakfast with decaf coffee and a splash of milk and then didn't find anywhere to eat anything sensible all day. Hence the crisps! My son bought them for me from marks and spencers here in Malta. They were 275 cals the bag so on the 20 cals equals 1 syn rule that was just about 14 syns. It'll probably be ok but I'll really have to be careful tonight!

Jane you hae been so good all week, don't beat yourself up about it. It could have been a lot worse, I reckon if I have a bad day I could have upwards of 50 syns!
 
Hi crystal. How are you doing? Did you overindulge for the jubilee? Many people seem to have done!

I ended up eating bread tonight! I had marrow soup which was so delicious. I might try it at home. Normally I can't stand marrows. Next I had pork fillet on a bed of herbed mash with roasted veg. It was absolutely delicious and I'm sure full of hidden syns. I drank water and a black decaf coffee.

I'm now tucked up in bed feeling very full :)

Tomorrow our son is taking us to a quiet beach somewhere. It'll be lovely to spend the day with him.

I'm actually looking forward to getting home (although i will miss our son) and normal food which I can control. I'd love a mullerlight or an Alpen bar right now :)

i'm good thanks Jane! i lost 2.5lbs this week so pleased with that :)

Your meal sounds lovely, mmmm I could eat that right now! I know what you mean about getting back to normal. However you have been so good, especially with no alcohol - that's not easy on holiday!

Back home safely :)

I ate the food on the plane out of boredom. Pasta with ricotta in a creamy Tom sauce with cheese on top. Must admit it was delicious, just very naughty! Also bread and a slice of lemon cake.......oh dear !!

Didn't drink any alcohol though and hadn't eaten much earlier so hopefully all will be ok.

I always eat the food on the flight as well, and you're right, it's out of boredom!
