Jaqys - dusting off the diary

Stayed the same this morning.

Had a quiet night, tv and holiday list making (I like the planning more than the holiday, will probs not mention it when i get back ;) ).

PV today
B Rhubarb muffins - these are really good for anyone with transit issues :eek:
L Salmon smoked salmon and cucumber, sf jelly
D Sardines and brocolli

Another dip on the scales, very happy.
Didnt feel like the sardines I'd defroseted last night so had mushroom omlette instead and it was lovely.
PP day forgot to put any oatbran in my bag (try and keep some in a ziplock back in my desk - its empty too) - doh!
B yogurt and coffee
L sardines and smoked salmon
D Turkey and oatbran to be fitted in somehow

Its lovely and sunny here :)

Work is gonna be busy today/tomorrow but next week on training (so less internet use :( ).

Hope everyones doing well and losing losing losing (or staying the same if on conso).

My rollup shoes arrived :D
They're a bit big, am usualy 6.5 and the sizing was 5/6 or 7/8 so had to go for bigger option, feet will be puffy when need to wear them anyway.
Quite excited.

Most my heels fit better now anyway (no pudgey skin bursting out :8855:) but they are good to have for insurence, the walk between hotels in vegas is immense, the walk in the casinos is insane, my first hotel has more than 5000 rooms, it can take 10-15mins to get out the door!

Well done on that 5lb loss, you're practically there again already (just um be a bit better when you are this time ;) )
 
lol thanks Jaq. yes i think ill find it much easier on atkins. will be able to start eating nuts and more carbs after induction anyway see what my tolerated carb level is.
 
Glad to see that the scales are going down... and just 10 days left! I'm like you with the organising and planning and then, when you get there, you just have to do it all!

Have been feeling a bit rubbish this week, not wanting what I've planned to eat, wanting to eat out. Partly I'm pms-ing and partly work is really full on and I'm resenting not being able to eat my fave foods in my fave places with a beer or glass of wine on my way home when I've worked late.

So last night I caved a bit and went to nandos on the way home, (not somewhere I ate pre dukan but cheaper than other options and less wastage as it was a pp day). Had half a chicken, pulled off the skin and had a coke zero.
It was great, a bit salty and probs a bit fattier than I should have but it did the job and it wasnt next door for a veggie burger and chips and onion rings and a cocktail ;)

So only .2 down this morning but a good enough loss for the week.
Holiday target is just do-able but as am likely to be drinking tomorrow, I'll not be too upset if I miss it. I'm pretty close.

Keep going back and forth about how good to be on holiday.

Part of me wants to break free and have some evenings eating american junk food watching tv(mmmm chex mix) and drinking giant cocktails and part of me is saying thats nuts you dont want to undo what youve done and take even longer to get to goal. But goal is months and months away whats a few extra weeks......

I reckon you're thinking exactly what the rest of us are when it comes to our holidays. You saved your pennies and holidays are a special treat that we dont get to have often enough so I say do what ever you feel you want to do, but dont plan anything. What I mean is dont sit at home now an say right, I'm going to have lots of carbs and cocktails, but wait until you're on your holiday and take each day as it comes. I do know what you mean tho as I have had the same thoughts and my holiday isnt til June next year ha ha ha.

Well done with the food choice last night hun. It might not have been perfect but as you say better than the other option, which by the way sounds delish.

Can I say something? (ahem... As someone who very recently went on holiday having done exactly what she oughtn't the day before going - I overate. As a result, from day one, I was gagging for it... literally... and I used each and every opportunity to eat.

I'm sure you're not like me :) but... in the past on holidays I have set a day which will be my "day off" towards the end of the holiday and used that as a carrot to get me there... It might work for you... I've heard in the U.S. that Atkins options are often marked on menus, so that would be better than going totally off plan).

And have your one day towards the end of the holiday when you'll do just as you say... you'll have that as a "carrot" to look forward to throughout your holiday, who knows, maybe when that day nears, you'll decide you'll have just one meal, or maybe not even...

It is of course up to you and we will be here for you when you return should it all go pearshaped - I came back with 7K+ (over a stone) extra in 9 days.

I've already planned a few meals off plan(I will at some point post menus/pics of places) and was planning to be lowcarb the rest of the time (but not low fat). Also I'll be pretty active with lots and lots of walking.

Its just those first few jetlagged days where I'm trying to stay awake
and just veg out in front the TV at night with strange packets of snacks. Usually a money saver too not buying dinner a few nights.

I will easily be able to buy jerky but not sure about other (non vile)low carb options, espcially as I wont have a fridge.
 
Friday changed into a pp day for insurance for sat.

Yesterday was fun but didn't go to plan.
Met a friend for lunch, we were running a bit late and ended up at la tasca,
had chicken wings, chicken skewers and salad, and a lot of rose.

Went to dreamboats, ben was sick so wasn't on :( good job the tickets were cheap. At least I don't have to see that one again.
Rushed up to 2nd theatre, just as our other friend arrived so did matt Lucas! So that was our celeb spot for the week. Passion was a bit bonkers but the cast were great and the lighting fantastic.
The lead, david thaxton was rather lovely, will be listening out for what he does next, mmmmmmmm.

Went for more drinks but stuck to diet coke. So no bran, so so food choices and lotsa wine.

Scales were down this morning! I expect I'm a little dehydrated and expect a gain tomorrow. Though have lost the water I was retaining for totm so maybe I'll get lucky.

Chicken, yogurt+bran.

Dull chores day and some Seinfeld and rest.

Away from my desk most the week (on a break right now).

As expected scales were up this morning, but I'm below weigh in weight so thats good. And tried on dress without stomach crushing pants and it fits fine :D

B WW yogurt with bran (gone back to fruit flavoured yog for a change)
L tuna, cucumber and cherry tomato
D Mince probably as chilli.
