Hi everyone, thanx so much for your kind words and support - am so sorry havent been around much. Have had loads of things going on but hopefully all is a little calmer here now!

Diet going well - now well over half way there, having lost just over 4 stone :D. Have dusted off the treadmill having seen how well it suits Rosie and am currently racking up 3 miles x 3 times a week and feeling much better for it. Hoping to do the Gt East Run (hopefully with Rach!) this autumn.

Thanks again to you all for your constant support - will try and pop in to update more often and if I dont can someone please give me a :copon:

well done Jax, so proud of you so far :D looking forward to seeing you and the fam on the 3rd.. got my tickets booked :D xxx

Thanks babe. Twinkles are soooo excited (as am I obviously!) - let me know what times your trains are so we can plan around them! Hope you're firmly back on that wagon now girlie. Should have the application forms for the Gt E run by the time you get here so we'll see how you feel by then :p
Hi Jax

Thanks M, missed you too - hope you're okay now - you'll have to PM me sometime and let me know roughly when you want to meet up now that you have your op date - assume you'd rather much after but if its before thats just as good my end. Take care xxx

Thanks Loz, there's no rest for the wicked is there. Hope your okay now and still enjoying work.
Wow, you're doing amazingly :) Well done!!
Thanks Jess, hope you enjoy Glasgow next weekend.

Weighed in this morning and I've lost another pound which I'm fine about. Obviously would have preferred more but wasnt expecting more as I've been walk/running quite a bit on my treadmill and so I guess its that old story about muscle weighing more than fat - or at least I hope so  Managing to do 3 miles x 3 times a week and hoping that I increase the running and decrease the walking each week - can live in hope anyway!

Am certainly feeling a lot better in myself after a little health scare which is all sorted now thank heavens.

Hope everyones having a relaxing weekend - catch up soon xxx

Well done angel! Fabulous result! I am sure you will lose even more next week!!

well done on another pound! You're proper breathing down my neck now, so i'm hoping for the same on tuesday! :D

looking forward to this run :) xxx

Gosh, 3 miles, 3 times a week is brilliant.

There is are loads of articles on the net that take you through training programmes from walking to running a marathon - not sure how long the Great East run is but it might be worth looking at it.

Its amazing how quickly you will go from walking to running and how your fitness levels increase - its certainly a great motivator...it goes as quickly too though if you stop doing it which is a right pain!

Glad you are doing well diet wise and that you are have nothing to worry about health wise. We missed your posts. xx

Hi Jax, nice to see you posting

You're doing so well - well over the half way mark! I need to get my backside into gear! x

Thanx for your support guys although this weeks WI didnt go to plan! Had a fab week dietwise stayed within points everyday (didnt eat any of my AP's) and managed to run 12 miles so was quite looking forward to WI this morning - gutted to find I had STS - now I know muscle weighs more than fat but this is my third week and the reason i started this running mullarkey was to speed up my weight loss  I even feel more bloated/fat and my clothes are tighter! Rosie, as our resident running guru, any advice as to how long this is likely to last??? The only other factor that may have influenced my WI results is the fact that Auntie Flo has decided not to pay a visit for the last few months - probably because I'm far too stressed and she kinda avoids me when this happens - isnt she considerate?!!!

On a brighter note I got a heart rate monitor for mothers day :D OH picked up on the numerous hints (including emails with links from various outlets) - think his decision might have been aided by the fact that he wanted some proof that I was still alive and kicking as I've been keeping my head in the sand of late. Somewhat confused though as when I set it up my resting heart rate appears to be 55-57 bpm which for my age appears to be in the athletic range which can't be right and seems positively ludicrous cos I am nowhere near fit!

Nothing planned for this week so will stick with diet and running and fingers crossed for next weeks WI.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and I hope all mummies out there had a lovely day and were spoilt rotten xxx

Hi,

Dont think I had a chance to post in your diary before. I am sorry you had STS again. I can imagine how frustrating it must be! Sounds like you doing a lot of exercises and keeping withing your points so hopefully weight start dropping off soon. Good luck for coming week

hey Jax, well done on all your running - thats fantastic! glad you're okay - dont worry about your STS it will come off eventually, you've been doing a LOT of running so maybe your body is just taking time to adjust xxx

Jax - I agree with Rach. I think it takes time for your body to adjust to a new exercise routine. They say it can take a couple of weeks for your metabolism to kick in. Keep going and it will soon break the barrier. I have a feeling the same will happen to me.

Just make sure you are eating and drinking enough. I think I need to watch these 2 points this week. I am making a concious effort to drink more and ensure I eat a little more.

Goodluck and well done.

So glad to hear your health scare is over too. How worrying. We have had a worrying few weeks health wise too and just waiitng for it ti be over.....

Here's to a good week for both of us! xxxooooxxx

Hi Jax

Obviously I can't comment on the running except to say well done of ocurse. I'm sure that STS will soon turn into a loss just keep on going
