JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

Blimey jessy that's awesome!!! The power of the mind and the body hey!!go you!! Oh and I forgot to tell you...I had a dream about you last night...that you ran a b&b that only served the most colourful fruit and veg for meals! Hahah xxx

Thanks darling. Yes it's so much about getting your head in the right place isn't it! Haha well that sounds like a wonderful b&b - were the rooms to standard madam? ;) xxxx.

Still feeling the buzz from the run but my legs are feeling the ache! Things like that small achievement to many but massive achievement to me really make all of this worth while!

Eats for today:
B - Protein pancakes (much needed!) with Greek yoghurt bloobs and Strawbs
L - Chicken salad (chicken, mixed leaves, cucumber, mushrooms, spring onion, tomatoes, olives, beetroot, sprinkle of cheese, ev olive oil and lemon dressing)
S - Almonds and cashews, banana, flax bar, crudités with honours
D - going out for dinner with a good friend from Uni so a few glasses of wine and a Wagamamas (either yaki soba or pad Thai - love both!). For James I've bought him sirloin steak and there is loads of veg he can have it with :)

Obv rest day from gym tonight!

Happy hump day ladies :D xxxx

Congratulations on your 5k! That's a great time as well for your first one with no stops!

Ah babe! That was a fab job on the run! So impressed! Fun sounds yum today! Have a lovely night with the girls! You're so considerate of James too! I'd leave Simon a steak but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have a clue how to cook it! Sent from my GT-I9505 using MiniMins.com mobile app

That's honey :) now to get it under 30 mins! Definitely do-able! Haha James is so good at cooking / steak is one of his best dishes xxxx

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your run :) have you got the next one planned yet?? Xxx

Next Tuesday! Got bootcamp on Thursday too. Got a busy weekend but I want to squeeze in a small run at the weekend if I get the chance.

I'm just so happy as I knew I needed to be able to run 5k before I do this 8k obstacle race next Saturday! Argh! xxxx

Well done Jess!!! THAT IS A MASSIVE ACHIEVEMENT!!!!

That's the start of it now, if you keep it up, you'll really notice that an extra k and then another one and then another one... etc won't be tough anymore! WELL DONE!! xx

Thanks Lil! Super happy!

Well the aim is obv to improve pace but we have also said we want to be able to do a 10k by christmas!! Do-able? xxxx

You could do 10k in 4 weeks pal :)

I think you kind of have to choose either pace or distance though to focus on generally, unless you want to be running 3-4 times a week! xx

It's not that - I know what my pace is from my gps, I just struggle to get into a rhythm. I'm hoping it will come with experience!!

Ah I see. To be honest, I only ever feel I get comfortable and find my pace after the 3 mile mark in most runs. I know a few of my friends are the same. With anything shorter, you tend to push yourself harder as it's short and fast! Maybe that's it? x

Maybe. I know in easily influence by music so I've set up a new mellow playlist and on concentrating on my breathing too. I'll get there, I just need to find a pace I'm comfortable with and practise I guess? x
