JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

I find with running that I pace about three strides per breath (so three strides when breathing in and same when breathing out)

Yesterday I found us picking up pace a bit and slowed down - made it much more achievable

Lil I think you're right and time isn't the biggie for me. Think i'm going to go for a 10k instead of specific timing on a 5k. There is a 10k at end of November I am tempted by ...

Woo Friday Eve!

Had a lovely night with my friend last night - look at these cocktails

I had one glass of wine and 1 cocktail. Had pad Thai and meso soup for dinner with coke zero. Then James had bought a cookie chocolate tart thing so I had just the filling in that lol (didn't like crust). Scales aren't my friend this morning ;)

So I'm being realistic with myself and these extras are why I'm not loosing so I need to get on it properly 100%. At least in the week when I've got weekend plans!

This week tonight can be 100% but then tomorrow night going out for sis in laws bday, then seeing my aunt and uncle this weekend. Next week all is good though - no excuses bar some carb loading for the race on the Saturday. Might allow myself my syns on sat night and then start again the Sunday? Does that sound sensible?

Eats for today:
B - protein pancakes, ff Greek yoghurt, Strawbs and bloobs; banana
L - subway salad
S - mixed nuts, maybe a nakd bar
D - chicken stirfry
Exercise - BOOTCAMP!

And we can be twinnies on the chicken stir fry for this evening!
Wowser what's in the cocktails?! The dark one looks lethal! ;)

On the running front, I'm a loser and tend to listen to the Same song over and over again to try to keep the same beats/breathes per minute etc...but monotonous but works for me! Xxx

The dark one was Caroline's and was Prosecco and I've no clue ;) mine was mango and passion fruit and like with kraken dark run :D

When I used to run on my own I liked music but just listening to my breathing helps now xxxx

Jessy don't be too hard on yourself. You've come so far, you're allowed to spend a bit of time enjoying it. You'll push through and lose the last pesky few pounds when you're ready :) xx

Maybe only have one night a week where you drink? Wine and gin are my bigger downfalls xxx

It is just social events that occur. I'm not bothered about drink unless I am out, but I can't say no if I am out.
It is all willpower atm with the little things I keep having - getting annoyed with myself haha xxxx
 
I think you've had a balanaced and responsible attitude Jess so far. I also think you know what you need to do if you want to change the outcome (i.e. lose more rather than maintain).

At least you know now the perfect balance for maintenance! xx

No biscuits today!!!!

Also bought some chocolate soya milk to try ....
 
Been to boot camp! Ouch! Did super sets which is where you have 2 stations that work the same muscle groups but with different workouts and you do one then the other three times. 6 stations of those. So tough as your muscles burn! Loved it though! :D

Nice healthy chicken stirfry for tea. Had to nip into morrisons and I went straight to bakery bit .... Had a stern word with myself and walked back out to get bananas! Haha! xxxx.
 
Good girl re bakery!!!! That's always the worst cos once you're there you've pretty much already eaten the cake in your head if you've allowed yourself to get to the bakery aisle! Well done for the stern word! Haha sorry I think I've made you sound a little like a bakery addict there! ;)

Oh and pip - the One song thing...I got through phases so it will be the same song for a few weeks and then I might change. Normally pretty pumping but with lots of crescendo where it hits the base hard (haha!) cos that tends to give me a little spurt of energy! Xxx
