JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

I want to see pics too! I'm currently trying to find something to wear for my sisters marriage! Because it's the low key one and not the big white wedding, it's hard to find something! I got a stunning jumpsuit but i don't know if that's appropriate! xx

Jumpsuit sounds great! Jewellery and heels! Perfect

Hello lovelies. Sorry I've not been posting I've not been on plan at all nor have I been trying. Also been ill last week with bad period followed by a flu cold and then got cystitis - obviously very run down and although healthy food would help I've not gone for those options at all.

Doing the whole 30 clean eating detox from the start of January so hoping to shift the new fat though that and get back into a good fitness regime, although I have still been doing my bootcamps.

Hope you're all well will catch up now xxxx

Morning gorgeous, I'm so sorry to hear you've been poorly...sounds like a real run of things all at once...but hopefully things are all good and now you can crack on with enjoying crimbo?!

What does the 30 clean eating detox involve?! Just 30 days of clean eats?!
You and pip will be super cleansed by the end of jan!! :) xxx

Sorry to hear you've not been well but glad to hear you're on the mend now. Sometimes you just need comfort food when your poorly (like medicinal fried chicken). Is the clean 30 the same as the paleo whole 30 thing? Or maybe I'm getting my plans mixed up.

Oh poor you Jess. Cystitis is just the worst you poor thing :(

I always liked the idea of Whole 30 but it was just the expense and major effort required that put me off - lazy!

I subscribed to an amazing thread last year by BritMumInCanada - she did Whole30 in January 2014 and it was fabulous. Her cooking was incredible as were her ideas and creativity. She is in Canada though so some stuff might vary in terms of groceries but def still worth a look if you want some inspo :) x

Sorry you feeling unwell. Cystitis is horrible. The sachets from asda are good and really helped.

Morning ladies :)

Yes the clean eating for 30 days is the Whole 30 paleo diet. I'm getting the book off Santa (James) for Christmas so will be able to give some details after. But it is basically a strict version of what I was doing when clean eating - no refined carbs, no dairy, no legumes, no alcohol, no naughties :) Lots of healthy fats and protein

I'm starting on Monday 5th Jan - anyone definitely up for it? :) You can't even cheat once as the point is that it resets your body so even a sip of milk --> back to day 1!

Food is off plan so nothing to report there. Is it sad that I am actually looking forward to my detox though?

xxxx

Thanks darling :) Yes even though I have felt poorly I have still enjoyed all Christmas activities ;)

Effectively yes but no cheats at all - no dairy or legumes or refined carbs or alcohol or cake at all!

Yeah it does take a lot of planning - it feels right at this point in my journey but I don't think I would be able to do it before now and the month off I'm having is really motivating me for it!

Ooh thank you babe that is very useful xxxxxxxx

I'll be eating clean but not paleo :) I like my legumes too much and I want to carry on avoiding processed meats, so I'll be doing the clean eating plan my bootcamp instructor gave me. It's similar though so I'll definitely be here to support! Xxx

Every January I'm really tempted to try the whole 30 thing but I always chicken out. Might join you this year though!
