JessyG's food diary - positive and determined to shift the bulge

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Well done on the solo drive and not forgetting your loss and getting a healthy bmi xx

It really was :) Thanks chick xxxx

Wow Jessy!! Well done you - 7lbs to target you absolute machine!! You have such a lovely balance of healthiness and treats too - well deserved :) Just loving all the happiness and positivity coming from you and Tasha this morning, you're both little radiators today! Warming me up! hehe! I have to ask... what did you cook for Dianne yesterday? Tough act to follow!! xxx
Thanks beautiful :) Soooo pleased :) I had to re-step on the scales to check! Hopefully in the 9s next week but got a drinking weekend so maybe not! Hehe I made a Sunday roast! Chicken, mash, roasties, sweet potato roasties, Yorkshire puds, parsnips, carrots, peas, baby corn, gravy! It was well received :) xxxx

OMG - get you and your healthy BMI! What an amazing loss, especially having been on a hen do and on a romantic day with the boy! So pleased for you honeybun! I'm hoping to get my healthy BMI back next week and you'll be in the 9s. Whoop whoop!! xxx

:D thanks sweetie. You can so get it back next week I think you're really on it girl! xxxx.

Morning lovelies. I just realised I didn't put food info down yesterday!

Yesterday's eats: Strawbs with quinoa flakes, flax and chia; Subway chicken tikka salad; Cod loin with spring greens, asparagus and wedges

Today's eats: L - Chilli; D - Slow cooked brisket!

We had boot camp last night and it was definitely the toughest yet! Aching so much today!

Roll on Friday! I'm knackered already this week and I've only worked half a day!

xxxx

It will be Friday before you know it :) Are the quinoa flakes something you make or buy from a health food store? Sound interesting!! Slow cooked brisket  did you get the meat from a butchers or supermarket? I'd love to have a go at making some! xx

It needs to hurry up Lil I'm tired :p We bought them from Holland & Barretts - new item! They are lovely and nutty and are like cereal for me :)

Morrisons as it was on offer. James has prepared it with a BBQ rub then a BBQ passata based sauce and red onions! Nom! Leftovers will do nicely for lunches too :) xxxx

You should get some liquid smoke to put in the slow cooker when you're making brisket/pork etc... it adds such an amazing flavour! I got mine from a little independent burrito shop on the outskirts of Belfast but you can get it on amazon etc. xx

Ooh! Will defs have to look for that! Sounds like James would be excited about that ;) xxxx

About to book a holiday to Benidorm with my best friend for the end of June. Need to be at target now by 19th!! xxxx.

Thanks darlings :) really going to go for it! On my way home from work and really looking forward to this brisket served with some yummy veg (and maybe some brown rice!) xxxx

WOOP for holidays and WOOP for BBQ smokiness....hehe you will look smoking hot in your benidorm bikini fr sure!!! Hope you're not too achey! I'm desperate for Friday too! Xxxxx

Thanks Ging. I've definitely got some way until my stomach is flat though! Still aching this morning! Is it Friday yet?! xxxx.

Well last night ended up being particularly naughty! We had our healthy brisket (which was amazing) served with carrots and spring greens. Then on our way to see James' family I got a text saying the sister in law had got us a bottle I wine to share! So I shared it with her! And had a handful of crisps too. Not overly impressed with myself but the wine was great (aldi special but actually yum) and we had a lovely evening. Becki had bought me a wedding journal which you stick photos in etc of your journey from engagement to honeymoon :) and we spoke weddings galore! She's almost as excited as me! So glad I'm having her as a Bridesmaid. We also discussed hols and going away abroad with them next Easter, so me and James are gonna book a holiday for us for Septemer! Exciting times!

Anyway back on it today!
Lunch: leftover brisket served with brown rice
Dinner: Meatballs with courgette pasta

Also got the gym tonight so going to do some running followed by a small weight session; still aching from Monday!

Happy Hump Day ladies

xxxx

But Jess, you had to share it! You had no other choice. Really it just would have been rude to say no! And that's really not bad at all! Alcohol makes me want to eat the frigging Tayto factory (Irish reference!) so I think you were pretty restrained! Dinner this evening sounds yummy! I have such a hankering for meatballs at the moment!! Have a good day babe and enjoy the gym later :) xx

Yes Tasha it would have been rude! :) lol love the Irish words :) and I'd had a big tea so was feeling okay! I'm so excited for meatballs :)

Only on way home from work now so gym is going to be less and later than planned so just going to do a run I think. I wanted to go jogging in the sunshine but James wants to stay in gym :/ just cba tbh but will be going to the gym anyway.

Had a naughty kit Kat this afternoon; had training and it was so much info to absorb. Half way through trainer brought out kit kats and coffee! Only 5.5 syns? Worth it! xxxx.

Morning ladies! It's very quiet on here what with poorly and busy bees.

Did a naughty look on scales this morning and they said 10.2 :/ wtf?! I'll assume it's from the gym and not look again until next Monday.

I actually enjoyed the gym last night. Just sprinted 1km as it was running club so treadmills busy and then did a barbell weight set with James - I love exercising with my boy; he's really enthusiastic and supportive, and doesn't let me quit.

James did meatballs when we got in and we had them with proper pasta!!!! Actually might explain the bloat this morning. Carbs help recovery after the gym though and I must say I'm not aching too much this morning!

Eats for today:
Lunch: Chili from Monday night so hoping it will taste delicious!
Dinner: James is going to Prague on his stag tomorrow so we are going for a meal at meadowhall as we have to get him some more currency and a new bag. Will be Thai or wagamamas :).

Weather is beaut here today! Friday Eve ladies! xxxx

Aww you two little gym bunnies are too cute!! Glad you had fun and sounds like James made a delicious tea!

Thai or Wagamamas for tea sounds fab tonight - I could really go for a pad thai or something. Hmm...might have to see what we've got in to make it!

What are you up to whilst he's away on the stag?

xxx
