Jim's lazy Atkins diary

Hi Linz....... Don't jump out on people like that - you'll frighten us to death!!! x

Sorry to hear Colleen isn't well - I hope she gets through it soon x

Morning Jim:). Hope Colleen feels better soon! Xx

Hi Linzi :wavey: hope all well?! Xx

Morning all, I think she was given the anti-bio's as she has asthma and often gets chest problems. Saying that, she's off to wok this morning, with the proviso I'll go and get her if she feels too bad.

Hi Linz, haven't seen you around for ages, I didn't get your Merry Christmas TXT until the day after boxing day :(

NTR here, I've been detailed to pack away all the christmas stuff that we took down on Saturday evening. It was Olivia's 3rd birthday on Saturday, needless to say she was showered with presents.

Morning all, we have Olivia today as usual for Tuesday, I'm hoping it stays nice so we can take her to the Park and play on her bike. I need to teach her how to steer it LOL, got so may barked shins from her practising inside. :)

Poor Grandad - better teach her quick then x

Fingers crossed the rain stays off for you, have a lovely day xxx

Morning all, mission accomplished. LOL, we had a nice couple of hours in the park, we were lucky as it really clouded over and rained in the afternoon.

Gem, I'll never go back to work again, who would ever have thought that retirement could be so fulfilling.

I've just started registration with an agency Jim. I can't get my OA Pension until November so small work pension isn't really enough- will only do a couple of days though x

Morning all,

You've just reminded me that I'll be 65 in October Gem, so I'll be getting my OAP then as well. I'm lucky, my Army pension is very good and probably more than many people earn these days love. I also think we are lucky that we have no debts, Mortgage long paid off as well.

My work pension is small Jim and the redundancy money has dwindled, aided by the boiler replacement last January and the update of my worktops. Even a nice little sum doesn't go on forever once it is spread over a year to supplement lack of pay. I can manage but it would be better to get a couple of days. I reckon I've still got a lot to offer but it will be less stress with the agency - expectations are different - do your job and go home x

Morning all, I agree with what you're saying Gem, and I'm sure agency work is different, you don't need to get attached do you. Susie, I wouldn't like to think I had only the OAP to depend on :(

Hi Jim - No, the OAP isn't a lot to live on. Susie's idea of a rental coming in is a good one x
