JOEYJOJO'S PREGNANCY DIARY

Can't so epidurals, not can!!

Oh really? Wud never hav thought that

Yeah...anything that gets plugged into their sockets has to be PAT tested. But yeah...basically cant plug anything of ours into their sockets

I wouldnt have thought of that either to be honest...its not one of those things you think of. It is handy to do the tour...they tell you things you may not have realised :p

Gosh! I can't believe you and Sarah are 22 and 23 weeks tomorrow!!! I remember both of you having your 12 week scans!!! Your pregnancies are going so quick! At least mine is catching up now ;) :D xx

I know!!! :D

I really cant believe how quick its gone since 12 weeks...up until that point it had dragged so much. Its gone even quicker since im not feeling really sick anymore...woop!!

No but I'm at the midwife two week tomorrow so will ask her then. Gonna ask about antenatal classes too. I was on FB the other day and a girl I know who's a midwife said that they don't tend to allow tours as they're so busy. And that's the hospital I've chosen!! Didn't choose the other local one because its midwife led and they can do epidurals or forceps. So I'm not risking it in case something goes wrong. I've known people go into the hospital I've chosen and charge their phones but I might look into the battery charger anyway.

I didnt really talk to my midwife about them tbh lol I just went on the website for my hospital and got the relevant phone number and rang to book it all.

Antenatal classes get booked up fast so i wanted to make sure they were booked. Ive booked antenatal classes for December and a waterbirth class for October and then we've just had the tour already...so all sorted :D

Every area/hospital is so different as to how they do things arent they!

Random fact - for anyone that has me on facebook...I dont post much at the moment as Im still signed off work and my manager is on my facebook haha

We get a tour of labour at our ante natal classes. Will b good to hav an idea of where it'll all b happening. I've my ante natal classes booked too. 5 week course starting November 15th...
Is it just maternity ward yer not allowed charge yer phone r anywhere in the hospital?

When I had my tour they said not allowed to charge mobile phones or anything in the whole hospital :) Sucks doesnt it?!!

My antenatal classes are just two Thursdays in a row in December...7-9pm (if i remember correctly.....)

Put on 3lbs in the last week. :(

Either this baby is putting on some serious weight...or I need to sort out my eating!! Weight has been going on steadily now for the last month or so

Ooooh also - 22 weeks today!! :D

Wohoo!!

Wouldn't worry about the gain just try and watch what you eat when you can. You need to enjoy your pregnancy and worrying about weight will distract from that. I took the batterys from my scales and I hadn't weighed in months. Went for my GD test and was weighed. I've put on a stone in 24 weeks, the nurse said that was great and keep doing what I'm doing.

Happy 22 weeks. 18 to go :D x

Happy 22 Weeks hun!! :D xxx

I know I'm OK to use sockets in the wards n pretty sure I won't care in the labour ward.. LOL
As long as I can keep a charge in my laptop I'll be grand :) I'll hopefully download some movies on there to keep me occupied thru the day (as if baby won't be doing that!!!!) Tho am still hoping I'm elligle for early release...

Whats your total gain hun? Bet its not as bad as you think...
As long as you know you're eating fresh fruit n veg n baby is getting all the nutrition it needs you'll be fine..

Total gain so far is now 13lbs....which actually isnt too bad considering im 22 weeks in! Haha! Made me a bit happier now!

Whats the 'recommended healthy weight gain' for pregnant women? Do you know? :)

I knew it wouldn't be as bad as you thought... They recomend slow n steady gains for overweight people (only giving these stats as they're the only ones I know as its my category) to be 1lb per pregnancy week... Ideally they prefer no gain in the first trimester but that 1lb per week goes back... So if you'd gained more than say 24lb up to now.. It might be a worry... Your 100% doing fine... xx

For me, as i'm overweight, the recommended gain throughout my pregnancy, to remain in the healthy gain category, its 15-24lb..

Awww thanks ladies....it really wasnt as bad as i first thought lol I think because i had that week of putting on 4lbs, and this week 3lbs im worrying because its a lot to put on in one week!

Im glad i have weighed myself every week so i know exactly how much ive gained etc

In my app it recommends 19lb gain at 25 weeks, so I think you are spot on too :D
Is that for normal weight women Laura yea??

I'd say its just your body readjusting to you feeling well finally.. And... 1lb of that is your little man... then you've got all that the placenta carries too etc... So I think its a pretty healthy gain... xx
