JOEYJOJO'S PREGNANCY DIARY

It is definitely addictive!! Trying to search for bargains too :D

Ive gotta get hubby to agree to a day to go to Kiddicare as I want my travel system...like NOW lol

I just want to sort everything in the next few months so I dont have to worry about buying anything/much in December/January

That's my plan. That's why I've done my Xmas shopping and all the wedding stuff too, so once I finish work I can concentrate on getting the house immaculate, cooking some meals to freeze and just making the most of some quiet time before baby comes.

Yea I plan on stocking up my freezer with yummy, filling and slimming world friendly pre-made dinners for when I get home with bubs and the (hopefully) at least following week if not 2!! I have no dounts i'll be in no form of cooking and under no illusions that anything will be SW friendly if Jonathan is asked to sort dinner.. It'll maccers or chipper n not much else!!!

We'd end up with chicken dippers or fish fingers and chips left to Tom. Or Indian take away. I'm going to make some currys etc so all he needs to do is chuck it in a pan and boil some rice!

Well...i caved in. Sent hubby to go pick me up a chicken tikka masala, rice and garlic naan from the local Indian restaurant hehehe

Had to be done :p Nom nom

I don't blame you :D lol

If all is well with me tomorrow, hubby is taking me out to an Indian restaurant... mmmmmmmmmm :D xx

I love curry...but tried to eat one last Monday and couldn't physically eat it!! It wasn't even spicy (as hubby ate it easily and he is not a fan of spice!)
The smell even started giving me heartburn! Hope it doesn't last as I was planning on a good spicy curry to get my labour started!' X

Happy 21 weeks!!!! :) xxx

21 weeks

So Im due to go back to work on Friday. I have a 'welfare' meeting with HR and my team leader at my house on Thursday aswell. Ive obviously said Im going back on Friday (my sick note runs out again) and I'll be explaining that if I come back and cant cope again this time I'll have to be signed off again and then take maternity leave as early as possible (October). Theres no point keep going back and forth really.

I have a feeling I know how its going to play out going back to work anyways. I have tried doing more this week and yesterday I went for a walk with hubby and dog and then food shopping and completely messed myself up. Really dizzy..room spinning. Same thing today after walking the dog again and then going to see the midwife. So Im pretty much guessing that I'll still have the dizziness doing computer work. Ive spent most of my pregnancy signed off when I was hoping to make as much money as I can before I go on maternity. Really hasnt panned out the way I expected!

Saw midwife this afternoon and everything is fine still...heard baby's heartbeat, blood pressure is fine and the 'pee test' was clear lol Was given my maternity certificate to give to work so I can now sort out when I start my maternity leave. Also have decided to have a water birth to 'hopefully' ease the pain :D Many friends have recommeded water birth to me and told me how good it is and midwife confirmed it can really help the pain and actually make it easier to give birth too

Also - my baby bits came through today (baby bath, bf pillow, changing mat and box) Yay :D

Ooh yay to the baby bits!! I got a free spoon today from one of the many baby things I signed up to lol.
If you need to be at home then that's what you should do. You and bubs are far more important than work. I'm lucky that my dizzyness had mostly passed now. Did you say you're not going back to work once he's here? X

Ohh great baby stuff has arrived. The breast feeding pillow is also great for sleeping with, I used to put a bit under my bump and the other bit between my legs, very comfy!

And yeah do whatever is right for you regarding work. xx

Yeah....starting maternity leave early doesnt really matter for me anyway because I wont be going back to this job after baby anyways :)

Do you have to go back a certain amount of time in order to get tax back??
We do.. We've to be back working after maternity leave for 1 month minimum and we get back a years worth of tax... Dunno what that amounts to but better in my pocket than the taxmans/governments

Hi everyone,

Had a welfare meeting (to do with work) yesterday at my house with my team leader and a lady from HR. They have to do it if a member of staff has been off long term. Just generally checking how I am and noting everything down in detail etc. It went fine and I explained I was going to try to come back to work today but could 'foresee' that I wasnt going to last long.

Anyways - went back to work today. I lasted precisely 1 hour and 20 minutes

So now i have to go back to the doctors on Monday and get signed off again (probably for another month). Good thing is that after that my annual leave kicks in and then my early maternity (which I have decided to take rather than going back and forth everytime). So I actually dont have to go back to work again now. Woop!

After all my maternity etc aswell I wont be going back to this job anyways

Aw bless you hun, you just have to do what's right for you and baby. If you aren't feeling well being there, then stay at home and look after yourself and little one :)

So that's work all done with :) How lovely. lol Even though I'm working from home today, I'd love to not work anymore lol Had enough already!!

Hope you're ok and can't believe you're almost 22 weeks :) Where has your pregnancy gone?! xx
