I am good Ruth telling myself to go to bed and have an early night as I am shattered and Hubbie is at work but I don't seem to be listening to myself, need to get a Kindle reading light as I can't read in bed as the baby is still in our room and the lamp will wake her , will have to look on ebay tomorrow x Looking forward to seeing my Mum tomorrow she has just come back from Rome with her Sister, she and my Dad were always on Holidays somewhere and this was the first time she has been since he died, she was a bit tearful the day she left but just spoke to her and she had a really lovely time, so I am really pleased for her x

I have bowed to peer pressure and downloaded 50 shades but have only got to page 2 as I have been so busy, not expecting it to be my thing to be honest, I am also reading Ernest Shackletons account of reaching the North Pole which I am enjoying you can pick up where you left off easily with it . I also had Jennifer Worths last book for Mothers day loved the first 3 , being an ex nurse I love all that stuff, the books are far more gritty than the TV program (Call the Midwife) in the books its hard to believe the way people lived post war , life was very bleak in the East End, none of that came accross in the Tv series, I know when I strt that I won't want to put it down so need a quiet day to read it, still waiting !!! I do like Stephen King too x

Good morning hun have a lovely day :) xxx

I'm bleary eyed this morning from staying up too late last night reading. I'm being nagged to read 50 shades. I think my husband is hoping it'll have the same effect on me as its had on some of his colleagues wives. Ah well, nothing wrong with him having hope is there. :D

Glad your mums holiday worked out well. The first holiday my mum went on after my dad died was a bit of a disaster, I think it was probably too soon for her. These days she gads off all over the place on her own. She's recently returned from a weeks painting holiday in Spain and in a couple of weeks she's going on a pottery holiday in Sussex.

Morning Jo!

On the lollies:

I've seen willie and breast ones -- also more tasteful (get it) male torso moulds. I bet you'd sell loads.
For the kid party ones... I'd look at party decorations to see what's popular.

My kindle cover has this little corner light (you pull it up it comes on and bends). It is powered by the Kindle. It works well.

You sound like me... A lot books going at once.

I'm trying to finish the last Gray book. Then I need to move in the paper books I stacked in various "to be read" piles!

I'm glad your mum had a good holiday. Rome is amazing.

I hope you have a banner day!!!

Morning Jo :)

I love crime/detective novels, especially those based in Italy - am working my way through the Donna Leon series on my Sony.

Loved the new Wallander on tellie last night too - brutal and quite dark, but amazing production.

Have a good day xxx
