Judy's Jolly Journey (restarts at post 295)

Hope you get back in the game soon JJ! :flowers:

Hi folks :flirt2:

I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks, but I'm back now and firing fully again :D

I've managed to stay at the 1.5 stone loss I had before my absence so quite pleased with that. I have absolutely nothing SW friendly in the house though so a mega shop is required for this week :p

Hope everyone has been good while I've been away

My menu for today is like this:
Saturday– Red
Milk (HEA)
Yoghurt Fruit
Soup and Ham Roll (HEB)
Strawberries and Yoghurt
Chicken Parmigiana (2.5 and HEA) Lettuce Cucumber Onion Tomato Salad cream (2)
2 Alpen light (HEB)
Fruit

So far that will be both A & B's and 4.5 syns. Might add in an Intensely Creamy yoghurt later after dinner, but I'll see how I feel.

Right off to finish my shopping list, so I'll catch you later ;)

Good luck all, JJ x

:happy036:-nice to see you back :D -well done on not going off the rails  hope you find some nice goodies when you are shopping ;)

Yesterday went very much to plan so I'm pleased with that. Did add in the lemony yoghurt and a pack of crisps! Daily syns ended up at 13. :happy036:

Today I am out for lunch at the parents. We're having a roast so allowing 10 syns for the yorkies and gravy. It probably isn't that many but I'd rather over compensate.

Brekkie was a bacon egg and tomato roll
Lunch at parents (10)
Dinner will be decided later depending on the leftovers from lunch and how hungry I feel!
Snacks are fruit and yoghurt.

Not sure whether to have an extra easy day or stick to red. It will probably depend on what veg mum does. If there are parsnips then it's got to be ee:whistle:

I'm currently sat in the hair dressers with colour on and going to have a new style to go with it. Fingers crossed I like it :cross:

Thanks sweetie. I did have a few bad days but managed to reign it in. Saw your post on today's loss - you are still doing brilliantly well - I'm quite envious of your commitment. Congratulations :woohoo:

I spent a fortune on food but I have enough for some scrumptious batch cooking this week. I have a tomato pepper and onion sauce sat in the remoska ready to bag up for pasta sauces. Also going to do a chilli, bolognese, some meatballs and a pork and apple casserole. That should be my red days sorted for a while.

Have a good week Hun, JJx

Ended up as an extra easy day with loads of veg at lunch including parsnips.
Dinner was tomato sauce with superfree veg over pasta. Snacks have been fruit and yoghurt. Think that's an ok ee day.

Syns were 4 for yorkies, 2 for gravy and 5.5 for a fibre plus bar.

Tomorrow will be green as have planned chick pea Dahl and rice for lunch, potato and cottage cheese with salad for dinner. Think I may have porridge and fruit for breakfast. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Night all, JJ x

Today started grey and foggy but has become a lovely bright autumn day. I'm working at home today so don't feel guilty about logging in to post today's menu.

I'm having a Green day:
250 mls milk (HEA)
Porridge (HEB), Strawberries, Banana
Chick pea dahl and Vegetable rice
Fruit and Yoghurt
Jacket potato with cheese (HEA) and beans
Intensely creamy (2.5)
2 Alpen light (HEB)
Sunbites (6)
Fruit tea, diet coke, coffee, fruit

That uses all my A and B's and 8.5 syns. Might use a few for some extra milk as not much left after having porridge this morning. I'll see how I feel later.

Hope you're all having a lovely day.

I've changed my mind about today. I've cooked pork and apple (2) to portion up for freezer and it smells so yummy I want some now:D

If I swap to an extra easy day I could have it with veg and potatoes. I then need to syn the alpen light (3) I had earlier. If I still have a zesty lemon at 2.5 syns that will total 13.5 for the day.

Had a meeting at school this morning and have struggled with broadband this afternoon, but I'm finally here :D

Today is another extra easy day and I am having milk and alpen lights as my healthy extras.
Breakfast - Banana, 1 alpen light, yoghurt
Lunch - Chicken in cheese sauce (5), leeks, carrots, green beans
Strawberries and yoghurt
Dinner - Pasta, tomato and veg sauce (has loads of superfrees in)
Mango and pineapple
Snack - crisps (6), 1 alpen light

Total is 11 syns which is ok to say the chicken was much more than I expected.

Right best get back to work :wave_cry:

Last night went pear shaped, when about 9pm I didn't feel like any dinner. Instead I ate 2 bags of crisps and a bar of chocolate :break_diet: Not really sure why either as there were other things available :(

Today was never going to be brilliant as at a work event and we are being fed. I've tried to make reasonable choices, but the sandwiches are all on white bread, other nibbles are pastry or fried and the desserts are all cakey and creamy  Not a piece of fruit in sight  It would have to be now that I'm struggling as tonight is weigh in and I was doing ok upto this.

Oh well it's only a small blip and I will have to have a back up plan for times like these. Hope the scales don't hate me too much.

See you later, JJx

Morning all :D

Couldn't get the internet on at home last night - new router is rubbish - so I'm posting a quick update from work.

Last night's weigh in was a 3lb loss :D and I got slimmer of the week :woohoo: Needless to say I was extremely happy with the result.

Need to keep up the good work this week. I'm going to have an extra easy day again as at yet another all day meeting with work, so lunch won't be brilliant. Started the day with strawberries and yoghurt and dinner is gammon with cheese sauce (3 syns) and loads of carrots, green beans and whatever other veg I can wrestle from the great white whale (my freezer :p)

Got to get off to go to my meeting now so catch you this evening, JJ x

:happy096: well done JJ...so happy for you
Just shows that a couple of little "blips" don't have to ruin thing doesn't it :D
Hopefully the loss and SOTW will help boost your motivation for this week :happy036:
Hope you have a good day... keep up the brilliant work Mrs ;)

:thankyou:
The sotw was definitely a nice surprise. I really want the 4lbs I need to get to my 2 stone shiney and last night was certainly a boost to my motivation. I reckon I can have that new sticker in the next couple of weeks ;)

I've got an internet connection - not sure for how long - so quickly posting my menu for tomorrow.

Friday – Extra Easy
Milk (HEA)
2 Alpen light (HEB)
Banana strawberries passion fruit and natural yoghurt
Potato and Cottage cheese with pineapple
Orange yoghurt
Pasta with chicken (4) in tomato sauce and salad
Fruit and Activia lemon (2.5)
Crisps (6)
1 A & B and 12.5 syns

The tomato sauce is made by cooking tomatoes, onions, garlic, carrots and whatever other veg needs using, over a very low heat in a covered pan. This can be done in the oven also but I use my remoska. The sauce becomes thick and sticky. I then blend some of it and leave some chunky to use for pasta sauces or poured over chicken and topped with a HEA of cheese. I'm also going to try it with meatballs, a syn free meatloaf and as a base for bolognese or chilli. It's a great way for me to add some superfrees to my diet, although my consultant says I need to leave some bulk in it for it to really count on extra easy.

I'll check in tomorrow from work. Hugs to all, JJx

The tomato sauce sounds good, will be cooking up a pan of it in the morning! Will try it over my pasta at lunch.

Hope you like the sauce Trixie. The last couple of times I've made this I have added some balsamic vinegar - not much - and it really adds something to the flavour.

Afternoon all. just popping in at lunch from work.

I have a baked potato with cottage cheese in front of me but really want the carrot cake on top of the cabinets behind me  It is the birthday of someone in the next section so they are having cake, which I think is really unfair on the rest of us - especially as they won't share :p

Repeat - I love cottage cheese, I love cottage cheese ....................

Nothing really to report as it is a dull and overcast day, which matches my mood at present. What happened to the nice weather we were promised

Anyway best get back to my absolutely [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] delicious lunch.

Catch you tonight - hopefully

Had a high syn weekend - no binges or major choccie feasts - but we went for chinese last night which I'm sure will have used every syn I have for the week :sigh:

Oh well that was yesterday - today has been fine and I've stuck to plan. If I keep it up I should see a loss come Wednesday. Just can't afford any slips :break_diet:

Sunday's extra easy plan was:
Milk (HEA)
Fibre Plus bar (HEB)
Fruit
Bacon, egg and tomatoes
Gammon steak in cheese sauce (3) with veg and salad
Yoghurt with lemon curd (4)
Minstrels (6) [only a half bag - shared with DD]

Got a large pan of bolognese on cooking which will be lunch tomorrow and portioned up for the freezer for later in the week.

I think I'll stick to extra easy for a while. When I first started this is what I did and I stuck to plan better than I have the past 8 weeks, so perhaps I should just keep with it ;)

Right off to stir the pot and get ready for work tomorrow :argh: Night night x

Monday's menu:

Milk (HEA)
2 alpen light (HEB)
Banana, mango and passion fruit
Chick pea dahl and vegetable rice
Strawberries and pineapple
Activia lemon (2.5)
Pasta with bolognese and parmesan (1.5)
Fromage frais and options (2)

That will use my A and B plus 6 syns. This leaves me some wiggle room in case I want something tonight.

I'm off to the dentist shortly to have a back tooth repaired. Depending on how I feel will be whether dinner gets eaten or not :wave_cry:

Hopefully I'll feel up to posting later. Have a lovely afternoon, JJ x

Good luck at the dentist JJ. Is the chickpea dahl a recipe you make up yourself?
