Karenlou's diary - Hello, I'm home!

Thanks for all your help guys. Tan, do you have a link to a pic of the Tamsin Michael dress?

Well I stayed the same this week, which is good going when you consider I had three (yes, three, count em) meals out this week! Feeling motivated to get back on track (especially as I'm bloated and uncomfortable from the eating out!) and my OH is going to diet with me till Christmas which should make life easier.

Well done x

Good afternoon Karen,
How are you doing? Sorry not been on here in ages,i feel ready to get back on track now, hope your doing well xx

well done on sts hunni and hoping u have a good loss this week xxx

Thanks guys.

Hi Gemma, I'm doing fine thanks - hoping not to let my sts this week throw me off track for my xmas challenge. Glad to see you're feeling happy and motivated too.

Karra, my OH has had to give up beer and pizza anyway as he has some pretty severe food intolerances so I guess he figures he might as well get with the programme with me lol.

Mind you, he's just gone over points by having two puddings (!)

Ouch, I would hate to be allergic to food.
Having said that, I don't eat bread anymore because it makes me gain weight (or it may be more to do with the fact that once I start eating bread, I don't stop :D)

Maybe you should introduce him to sugar free jelly :D

My ex was always trying to gain weight :D
He's one of those guys who eats ANYTHING and stays like a stick!
(Yes, I was VERY jealous, lol.)
I was always mortified that he weighed 3 stone less than me

No, although I'm feeling very bloated this week (TOTM I think) and not optimistic for a loss.

I've decided to give myself a week's detox.

I've done it before and had good results; my skin looked lovely and I felt very well.

The idea is to have no alcohol, no processed foods and no meat, fish, caffeine, wheat, sugar, artificial sweeteners or dairy.

You eat foods as close to their natural state as possible and can have honey, maple syrup and other natural sweeteners, so soups and casseroles, non-wheat pasta with veg and tomato sauces, that sort of thing. Fits in well with Core so will probably do it with the core model.

So - detox day one tomorrow and I'll let you know how I get on. Planning to start the day with warm water with a squeeze of lemon, then ryvita with home made guacamole for a late breakfast/early lunch and carrot and lentil soup and fresh fruit salad for tea. Then I'll have my third meal in the evening - possibly porridge with raisins.

sounds interesting.... will you be posting a daily menu, so we can see what ya have?

Nas x

Goodluck Karen. I look forward to following you this week. Interesting plan :)

Oh, good idea :) I've tried to detox before but I don't have the willpower! I should try the lemon in water, that helps a lot apparently!
