Hi M. I collected the car today and it's really lovely.

The blip is still ongoing and I REALLY need to pull it back in. Especially as I have my x-rays back and I have degenerative changes in my cervical spine and losing this excess weight really is the best present I can give myself.

Had my first B12 injection today and, after feeling queasy for a couple of hours, was fine. The nurse says people often feel an improvement straight after the first jab so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I've got the go-ahead from work to order my dictation software so I won't need to use the keyboard at work - and I'll have my own office! Hooray!

Wow your car is B E A U-tiful. I would love to have a new car or a car at all for that matter *sigh*

I hope the injections do the trick m'dear. Take care and look after yourself. xxx

Thanks all.

Well it's decision time for the wedding outfit. I have spoken to the bride to be and the hat is optional so I'm going for a fascinator as I know I'll wear that sort of thing again.

So my dress dilemma is - bearing in mind it's quite a posh wedding, do I go for something like this:

Monsoon Accessorize - Sorayha Dress

I have tried it on in Monsoon and it looks lovely and would be most appropriate but I don't have the sort of lifestyle where I would wear it again (and it's £98).

Or do I go for something a bit less traditional like this:

Monsoon Accessorize - Nieve Paisley Printed Dress

or this:

http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/55014002&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dresses,newwomandresshttp://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/55505163&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dresses,newwomandress

both of which I have also tried on and look lovely. I could wear with white trousers and would wear again but not very "traditional" weddingy.

What do you think?

wear what you feel comfortable in.. i would personally go for one of the latter two - they are much nicer and something you could wear again - for example, either of those you could wear with black leggings and flats, and a nice long necklace or chunky bracelets and voila - new Karen :) x

I like the blue one too, I think you would wear that more often. The other one could hang in your wardrobe for ages! Both lovely tho, you shall be stunning!

i like the 1st one, and it could be 'dressed down' with sandals for a summer day, but then i like it cos its more my style than the other two, but i'm not wearing it!!

All 3 are lovely karen, you would, as my gran would have said, "get more wear" out of the second 2 choices but the first just seems more wedding but then I'm a boring old fart myself.

Ebay do a great range of Monsoon dresses all at about half those prices they do have some from this season so worth a look.

Whichever you'll look grand

M

Hiya Karen..
ALL those dresses are gorgess,i lurve the orange one but i think you would get more wear outta the blue one?

Like m says have a look on ebay you never know there could be a dress very similar to any of your choices at a fraction of the price...
Good luck in your decision...oh yeh the car is lovely too :)

Morning

First dress is nice - great for a wedding & as jane says - also good with flip flops/flats for a summer evening

3rd option I love - nice with white linen trousers too - I'm a bit of a cheapy though when it comes to clothes so would always try to find a cheaper alternative like M says - have you got a TK Maxx - can't be doing with all the sifting through rails myself but they do have some good reasonable stuff so I'm told.

But.......as Rach say - the best policy is to wear what you like & what feels comfortable - whatever it is, we want to see though xx

If you lived near me, I would come shopping with you xx

Fitz, that's so sweet - I would go shopping with you if we lived nearer too x

Both lovely tho, you shall be stunning!

Funny you should say that Jen. I have bought the blue one and am wearing it with leggings as we speak. BUT...

I'm really hankering for the dress, it looked so lovely on. So I'm going to walk back into town and put it on my credit card! Keith is away for the weekend so I can destroy the tags before he gets home.

So I get both! Hooray for me!

And the walk into town will do me good as I will not say how much weight gain my mini-binge has caused me (3 pounds!) so it's time to heave myself back on the wagon and get them off before the wedding.

hurrah!! :D a woman after my own heart - i did that the other day for a bag and some scarves :D men just don't understand the fact that we NEED these things to live! :D

plus, the walking negates all guilty feelings and those extra pounds so the world is saved :)

(btw, while you're there.. that bag WOULD go lovely with your blue kimono :) ..and grey is a colour you can use to accessorize many outfits with.. so it would be used well i think :D )
