had a great weekend but its been busy! We had a family BBQ Friday, My husband took our 2 eldest kids camping saturday night so me and little aiden had some quality time and today we went out for a fathers day meal. I tried to be as good as possible and ordered a steak. I swapped the chips for jacket spud and gave my hubby the onion rings. I was a bit worried about the steak as it had a lot of juice. I didnt know if it was its own juices or if it had been cooked in fat. I shoulda asked!! I went to 'The Golden Hind' in Plymouth which is a 'Punch Pub Company' pub but i havent been able to find them on the slimming world site so i cannot be sure.

DAY 17

Red Day

2 x morrisons cumberland sausages (1 syn)

Hi Karen, glad to see you are still going strong and the weight is coming off nicely!

Well done on making healthy choices when you were eating out too! I'd be surprised if the steak was fried, think most restaurants would grill it, but you never know! I was shocked when I read the wetherspoons thread, about all the fat they add to their meals, glad I've never eaten there!
 
thanks stacey and spanx xx spanks, thats exactly the thread that made me worried about how my steak had been prepared. Its like they purposely went out of their way to pump fat into a perfectly healthy dish... just to sabotage us poor folk lol.
 
today is a definite green day. they are just cheaper and easier and i am craving pasta with tomatoes and chillis for me dinner :D i've got jacket spud and cajun beans for lunch and fruit for snacks today as well.

Im not having my WI tomorrow as i have to be at college but i will weigh at home or go to another class if possible. i have my final sociology exam this week and am revising like a loony! I also have to have my student finance stuff sent off as well this week. i wish i was more organised!

i am going to weigh myself at home hun as i have scales that are consistant with my class scales. After this week things wont be so full on and i can make it to SW properly every week. i cannot wait for these exams to be done! how are things your end matey? M's folks ok? xxx

Not long until you have finished your exams, you will do well I just know it .......M`s parents have gone, another row though this time him with his parents, so they upped and left......
 
OMG!! they came allll the way to plymouth from scotland and he let them leave on an arguement???? that is AWFUL! what happened? xxx
 
ok... I am going to have a red day today and for the rest of this week. I feel a bit bloated by green days and know that the protein will do me good:) plus, i love meat!

as mentioned on the teams post, I have had a bit of a nightmare with my own scales this morning. they were giving all kinds of crazy readings and so i will have to make the time to run in to class and get weighed. i just hate the crazy long queue and am worried i will come very unstuck like last week when i stood in line for ages and ended up very very late to an important session at college. still... it will drive me mental to not know how i have done this week so i am going to have to try to be first in line lol. After next week there is no more college and i wont have this clash.

today i have planned to have a small chicken breast, a small gammon steak, carrots and cauliflower cheese for dinner. the cheese sauce will be a 7.5 syn colmans concoction but that will be split between me and hubby so wont be too bad. I do so so love cauliflower and cheese :D this diet is so bloody easy at times. (unless you have your mind set on a bottle of Malibu and a big ol' curry, of course :eek: )

so far i have had a banana and am looking at my lunch options shortly. that will probably involve bacon slapped between slices of yummy bread with some fuit and/or yogurt :D yum yum nom nom
 
Hiya Karen... since its the last week you will be in such a hurry would ya not be a bit cheeky and explain to the leader that you are flying and need to be in college for an exam or something and ask to be seen first?? I'd give it a whirl rather than being late and putting urself under undue pressure.

Well done again missus ur doing brill and can't wait to hear how you get on xxxx

thanks gen. if i am not the first at the door then i will try to queue jump, me thinks! as you say... its the only week i really need to be so cheeky and i dont mind taking the heat from some of the members lol. they are all lovely so i am sure they wouldnt begrudge a woman in dire need :D

Im fine, feeling tired though......m kicked off at his dad for buying some stuff for the loo as not flushing too well......anyway his dad i might as well go so m said bye then.........there was raised voices too so not good.....hes going the right way to being alone......seen a house to rent over thornbury.....so emailed them asking if there is a way we can sort out deposits etc as wont be able to get one myself......:(
 
blimey! Cannot believe they all fell out... but its great that your relationship with them is good as it means you have their emotional support while hannah grows up.

you have to let me know if and when you hear from the landlords. would be lovely to have you back in Thornbury. xxx

thats true! mate... i was gonna text you but wanted to sort out a proper time i can catch up. im at the library all day tomorrow as it is my last day to get sorted for exams. I just did a tally up of what marks i need to get to pass the course and am mortified to find I need to do more than i thought! so... i have to knuckle down. prehaps we can get together friday? i need to get thursday over with so desperately lol
