Kat1e's Diary - 7 years low carb - still learning!

Lol Di - take a look at marksdailyapple.com. Primal way of life is avoiding all processed food plus avoiding grains as they dont suit us humans:). Qite nice in terms of how people make it a lifestyle - they talk quite a lot about exercise but from the benefit of health eg low impact moving around daily but then lifting heavy things only occassionally. As with all things, pinch of salt needed but he does do some good and informative blog entries

Anyway, stinky wee has arrived so hopefully will get rids of saturdays sugar now:D
Xx

Thanks Katie... Will have a read on the train tomorrow xx

glad you had a great chocolate crumble night out.
oh sorry i mean a great night out :D
first day back on the wagon, and i couldn't get past reading
about the crumble...

Hi Katie

I've just finished reading your diary - it is so impressive!

I enjoy getting marks' emails and his questioning approach to things - although as you say some can be a bit out there. His daily email has been good positive reinforcement of why I needed to get back low carbing.

Good luck completing the dissertation.

Morning katie, that primal site reminds me of the caveman or palaeolithic eating :)

Morning Katie

I started reading the primal chap this morning - quite interesting - thank you for recommending xx

Evening all:)
Glad you are enjoying the primal blog - i couldn't give up all my convenience food but like the fact it's about lifestyle change and not a "diet". I will admit now that i just had to do some LCM ordering - out of heinz one carb, almost out of pita and wraps, DH has been attacking the biscuits......so just loaded up on everything. I like the fact that you can freeze the bread goods so keeps for ages.

Anyway, finally got caught up on some emails and to dos so feeling slightly more in control. Dance class was fun as started learning a new routine for a new month - doing something from Fame - not quite sure which one but apparently they dance on tables (we are NOT! ;) )

Had a lovely dinner - chicken breasts baked with mayo, garlic and parmesan - need to add this to the list of best atkins recipes ever!

Hope all well
Xx

Thanks Soraya, altho if you read it all then apologies for all the babbelling - this board has been a lifeline over the last year:)

Lol - pitas in stock today so get in quick. Was so low in the stores, decided to splash out and did an order from avidlite as well as they have the wraps in stock!

Yes good plan, just jumped in and ordered 4 of the Josephs square wraps - and some Da Vinci orange syrup so I can try the orange spice flax cookies.

Am only experimenting for the benefit of the forum, of course :D

Of course - that's why i do it too:D

Ok - well i didn't tell you:D. Either (both) lowcarbmegastore.com and avidlite.co.uk
Enjoy but not recommended or i'll be in trouble with Jim and potentially your scales:eek:

Katie ... I have wraps and pittas which arrived before Xmas ... Should I not eat them at the moment - given the way my body is misbehaving !? I'll freeze them if you think thats best ? I've had them in the cupboard for a month! Lol

You might want to hang fire just so it doesnt get confused with other stuff you are trying. I did have wraps in my extended induction but only one in a day and not every day. I think their shelf life is quite long - three months or so and therefore you can still freeze them now and just get a pack out when you need it. If you're really organised...you can freeze them individually as hardly take anytime to defrost then and can always stick in toaster/microwave. I never quite manage that!

I've not had any bread or wraps or anything in 9 months! Lol
