THE SALAD CHALLENGE PARTICIPANTS KAY VON BUBBLES Some of you have been asking about what my salad challenge will be about, here is a rough guide. Feel free to join in the challenge and adapt it to what suits you best. The Salad Challenge starts tomorrow . :) The Challenge will last for 1 week. GUIDELINES - min of 2L of water a day - low salt as possible in the week - low carbs as possible (red days work better with this challenge) - lots of protein and fresh fruit and veg - add some body magic to the week, even light walking , at least 2-3 times in the week minimum - one of your main meals in the day has to be salad, it cannot be a side to go with your mains, it has to be your maincourse Make lots of variety so you don't get bored by day 4 :). Some of the salads in my mind are based around the following ingredients (you can add your own choices too) :- - egg salad - bean salad - tofu salad - tuna salad - salmon salad - chicken salad - lentil salad Will be bulking these up with lots of leafy veg. For dressing I am using the kraft bottles which are syn free and ff, they have a nice variety, I think I like the French dressing and Italian dressing the most. I'm not going to add bread sticks or croutons, although that's lush, I want to keep carbs to a minimum so plenty of protein and salad, which means red days will work quiet well with the salad challenge. Again these are just some of my ideas, adapt it to what suits you and you can always change things as you go along in the week. We are all hoping to kick some butt with this challenge and get fit for the summer ! :asskick: Let me know if you want to join in the challenge, it starts tomorrow and we can keep in touch daily and help motivate one another for a successful loss ! :D Kay xx

Thanks so much Lmn :). I hope I get 2lbs for my half century, that will make me loads happy. Would not be happy with a gain if TOTM fairy decides to ruin it for me :rolleyes:. I'm looking forward to the new challenge too, hope it gives us all some good losses. Hope you enjoy your evening hun :).

Thanks so much Sheila :), I wouldn't say I'm stressed but little bit worried about how much havoc TOTM fairy is going to play with the scales tomorrow, I know its different for everyone, some people get affected by the water weight and some don't :rolleyes: . I hope my bloat goes down by tomorrow . Pf hasn't come today either, who is she with ?

:welcome: Daz, to my diary :D . It's nice having you drop by on us and check if we're still here lol . Did you manage to solve the mystery over the dumplings ? :) They did look worth every spoonful though :p .

Hi Kay - just to let u know I had my first salad of the challenge (a day early I know but I think I mentioned I have a treat WI on Weds! The salad might sound bit boring but it was all I had in - chicken, lettuce, cherry toms, celery and balsamic vinegar - I had lots and really enjoyed it! I also had 1.8L and feel as if I'm drowning but hoping it'll sort out the bloated feeling I've had for a few days - will try to drink a bit more but we'll see..........

Not so good on activity - set off for a walk but it was really cold and windy - so I wimped out after 15-20 mins! Have I remembered everything?

Will try to do better 2moro - good luck to everyone rising to Von and Kay's challenge - it's a good idea.

Well done Upd, you did fab with the water and walk. Your salad sounds well yummy, I also love balsamic with my salads, goes really well with chicken. How many syns did u finish on for the day hun ?

Well ...... you certainly dont sound as worried as previous weeks I think you will be fine hun. Think positive. You have had another cracking week x
 
Just popping in to wish you all the best for your WI tomorrow! I wish I could join you with the salad challenge as I love them, but as I've got meals out and a hectic week it wouldn't work this week. Definitely up for something like this in a week or two though when I'm settling into my gym routine, or the soup challenge depending on the weather!

Take care hunny, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow when I have my feta salad for lunch. Can't wait to see your fantastic result, you've done amazingly well this week! xx

I REFUSE to blame the dumplings. Just an unexplained blip.
