Afternoon everyone :p. Hope your all having a lovely Easter weekend. Well I'm on the last day of my soup challenge today but I don't weigh till Tuesday. Slight problem because I have a huge family dinner tomorrow and I know that's going to affect my losses. My mum and sister are cooking. My mum wants to keep it a surprise but I want to plan my meals so managed to get my sister to tell me what's on the menu.

Starters-
Fried Poppadoms
Various Chutneys and dips (full fat)
Deep fried Vegetable and Meat Samosas

Mains -
Tandoori Chicken (with skin :sigh:)
Roasted Potatoes
Garlic Bread
Raita (full fat yogurt :rolleyes:)
Lentil Salad (lots of olive oil :sigh:)

Dessert -
Cinnamon Puffs
Fruit Salad in cream

Some of this might look healthy but a lot of oil will be used in the preparation and full fat yogurt :(, wish my mum asked me first I would have told her to buy the fat free one, I think she's made some of the stuff today already in the fridge for tomorrow. I can put salad in my plate ( which would have been dowsed in olive oil) :mad: don't know what food choices to make .

Think I should cancel :(.

Hmm it's a difficult one, don't cancel, whatever you choose will have syns I'd go for tandoori chicken & take the skin off, salad & for afters the fruit salad if cream hasn't already been added, I was going to suggest eating before you go then you don't eat much ya your mums but you may not get away with that.:)

Aww thanks for replying Michelle, your so good at getting back to me, you saved me last time too with the syn list for the Chinese, thank you. I'm really worried, wish I could cancel :(.
 
Definitely take the skin off and fill up on salad too. I was gonna say eat before you go aswell but your mum will still probably want to feed you up, lol xx

Yep I think you and Michelle are right, maybe I should eat before I go. I thought I'd say I've got a tummy ache, but she won't buy that :rolleyes:. Maybe all I can do is eat small portions of everything. Thanks RR for the helpful tips. :)

Evening Bev :p, how are you hun ? Well done on the body magic. Me and RR were discussing the other day that when we do gym continuous it affects our losses, its happened to me too the week I did 5 days in a row I had a 3lb gain, now I go one day and have the next day off. That's what I did last week and I lost. On my off gym days I do a 40 min walk instead. Think it might be good if you alternate too, especially with running because its quite intense and high energy, just some friendly advice, the rest is up to you hun :). I will pop over to your diary in a mo. Hope you've had a fab DAY 3 on the challenge.

Yeah I'd be inclined to agree with you both on that. I don't like to do more than 1 day in a row at the gym anyway as I feel absolutely achey the next day, but I guess if you're doing continuous days your body maybe isn't getting time to recover properly before the next workout. I could do day 3 of c25k tomorrow as I don't feel too bad ache wise today, but I'm still in that mindset of paranoia about exercising before a WI! I've been disappointed by it too many times to let myself risk it if you know what I mean! Anyway I'm glad the one on one off routine is working for you now, at least you know exercise can give you great losses too! xxx
 
Finally all caught up!! Arghhh with a menu like that I can see why you're feeling a bit nervous. It does sound yummy though, but there are some things you can do to make it a bit more SW friendly. Like others have said, skin off the chicken and plenty of salad. Take a little of what you fancy and leave the rest. At the end of the day its quality time with your family that's the important bit, so I definitely won't cancel. Is there any chance you could make something yourself to take along that's SW friendly and stick mainly to that? xx
 
Whoopsie I lost track of time, was watching BGT on ITV, love David Walliams he's so funny :D. Going to post up todays eats in a bit then will reply to posts ... ;)

I know Vonnie, but I usually space my treats out in the day but I had them altogether when I was watching BGT and I feel sick, and I'm also worrying about tomorrow, mum phoned and said don't eat before coming, she knows me so well :rolleyes:.

Thanks Bev for replying, no mum won't have any of it, she's cooked loads and I think she's gonna pack stuff for us to take back with us too :eek:, I'm starting the challenge on Monday how will I say no, its rude, I'm stuck :(.

Aww hun, could you just not ring her and try to explain how you feel? I hate to see you getting stressed like this. I'm sure you'll lose this week even with the meal, you've done brill with your soups xxx

I know your gonna think I'm stupid but I've been crying in bed, I know I'm the only one that will not lose on the challenge after this big dinner, I really don't want to go, but I can't say no to her :(.
