Thanks Sam & RR :p. Well I came back from my walk, prepared my salad for tea later. So 1 hour exercise is done and I've drank 2 litres, just 1 litre left to drink now. I can't stop going to the loo :giggle: and the pf has been here twice already, hehe. Hope your all having a good day so far. I will post up my food diary later.

The Salad Challenge DAY 1 :)

Breakfast -
x1 Protein Shake, 100cals = 5 syns

Snack -
x2 Apples

Body Magic -
1 hour walking ;)

Lunch -
Omelette with side green salad

Chargrilled Chicken with crispy florette salad and olives 1 syn

Terrific day for you Kay, you're really back in the zone, aren't you? Are you feeling much more optimistic now? If you carry on the week like this, you could have a whopping loss :D

Oh I really hope so L :rolleyes: trouble is its TOTM week and normally when I do the challenge on TOTM I normally sts or lose 1lb and the weight comes off the following week. My gut is telling me that is probably what will happen. When I do the soup one, it will show up that week, typical, my body is always slow to catch up. But I wont be disheartened, its good practice for the soup one and it feels good to be healthy again, my body could do with the detox :D. You were so inspiring today L, hats off to you for sticking to your guns in that Café, I would have caved in easily :p xx

Yes, I'm the same with totm (mine STILL hasnt' arrived, not sure what's happening but no point worrying) and a delayed loss but because you'd been off plan for a while and eating what you wanted, I reckon you could still have a loss this week too.
Lol at the cafe part.... it WAS a bit frustrating, watching and 'smelling' their lovely baguettes but it was the first day and after some lovely compliments I was feeling strong, so I just fed the babies and played with them to distract myself. I got them back later for also scoffing cakes in front of me by taking AGES to chomp my salad lol, while they sat and waited for me :D
 
Yummy food today Kay :) would I be able to have a quiche with salad like yours and it count for the salad challenge? I have it in my head that it has to be a bowl of leaves lol :-D x

Thanks Rosie :), hmm there is a way around that. The thing is I am doing the Turbo Cycle where we are supposed to have x1 side salad and x1 main, so my omelette was with a small side salad, my chicken was with a huge plate of salad which was my main. Because you are doing The Get Fit Cycle, you are only required to have one salad as a main, so if you have quiche with a small side salad like my omelette, it will not work. However if you have space in your tum to have a huge dinner plate size salad with it, then I don't have a problem, not like the one in my omelette pic but more like the one with my chicken :D, hope this makes some sense xx

Well I think the timing was perfect then for you to eat your salad :D, it helps when what we are eating is tasty too, I was reading on the salad thread that you said that your full. It's surprising how many people think they will still be hungry after eating a salad :p, I guess it all depends what your salad consists of ;) xx

Ahh I see! Yes it makes perfect sense- quiche with a huge salad for tea would be lovely but don't think i could manage it for lunch so I might have that for tea one night! Xx

Yay ! Perfect :D. Also for more ideas and inspiration on what salads you can have, just go through some of the pages on the thread, all the people that have taken part in the past have come up with quite some culinary delights :p xx

Haha, my salads consist of as much as they possibly can, cos my tum reacts to what my eyes think, if you see what I mean, plus obviously all that fibre fills me up. I'm still full now, even though I only had chicken and veg for dinner.

A good sign that the challenge has started to work is plenty of visits to the loo :D then you know those scales are gonna rock n roll on Monday :p xx
