Keisha's diary: Guess who's back :-)

How exciting that your brother is coming over and I am so jealous where you are from originally, I always felt I was meant to be born in the Carribean (I really hate the cold!! this isn't the life for me)!!

I have family in Barbados, US and Guyana (where my family are originally from), so not sure what happened that I ended up in cold and windy Warwick LOL!!

Lydia I wonder how that happened also..lol. The caribbean is wonderful, sunshine all year and a nice cool breeze in the evening...perfect.

sounds just like round here...NOT !

Good Evening girls, Hope everyone is ok and had a fab day. Well I'm going to starting weighing in on Saturdays starting from the 17th Jan. My reason for changing it is so be in line with me returning to work. I have 8 weeks before I return to work and I want to be at goal or close to it by then. Was going back to work later but returning early due to finances.

So I now have a deadline to reach goal or at least 5lbs to goal. So I'm aiming to lose 15 - 20lbs in the next 8 week. Do you think its doable? I want to look fab when a return. When I left I was over 2.5stones heavier than I am now. So if I reach goal I'll be about 4 stones lighter and I know jaws will drop.

Hi Keisha and a very belated happy new year! Hope you have a lovely time with your brother.

You can certainly aim to lose 8-16 pounds in the next 8 weeks. If you set a goal for more than that you might end up feeling discouraged if you don't make it x

Happy new year to you also. Thought I was aiming too high but would be happy with 10 - 15lbs. Will have to see how it goes after a month and then see where I go from there.

At the end of the day, Keisha, you can only give it your all and the weight loss will be the weight loss - if that makes sense. You are really good at sticking to it and keeping your activity levels up so if you averaged 1.5lbs per week then that would be 12lbs off.

I bet you are loving the fact that you chose to live in Britain now that the temperatures have gone to -10 in some places....deep joy!

Oh to be in the Caribbean right now :sigh:

It will be lovely to see your brother though.

Keisha, don't tell me you are deserting us Monday girls ;)??

That loss is quite high but I am sure you will be either there or very close to it in 8 weeks time. You are one determined little monkey.

I know one thing is for sure....a few pounds is not going to stop jaws dropping....that is going to happen anyway :D

Great news about your brother coming over Keisha. Nice to have you joining me on Saturday Wis thats really good.

Sorry to desert you on Mondays :):).

I know I'm aiming a bit too high..lol. But if I lose at least 10lbs that would take me to 140lbs, which I'll be happy with. Would just have 10lbs left to lose to reach my goal.

I know one thing is for sure....a few pounds is not going to stop jaws dropping....that is going to happen anyway :D

Thanks hun

The minute I win the lottery I am off! Me and my millie moo are off to live in the Carribean, with a pool and a sun lounger! Its all I need in life!

hey Keisha, i dont think your goal is too high at all - all you can say really is that you could:

a) aim high and reach it / not reach it - to which you could say well i aimed high and worked hard, so whether i reached the goal or not, it was something to aim for that made me work hard so it doesnt matter whether I made it, just that I tried my best and made a positive difference.
b) aim lower and say well i want to reach this which I know is more achieveable and if you reach it / surpass it then all the better.

i hope you know what I mean anyway - personally I would say I would rather go for the slightly higher goal.. then I know I have to push myself that little bit harder to get where I need to be. If at the end I havent reached my goal, I know I have tried my best and at least made a positive difference to myself :)

hope you have a good day today and enjoy your brother coming to visit :) xxx

Thanks for that hun. Makes all the sense in the world. Ahhhh bless, what would I do without Rach. I'll go with plan A. You're a star, thanks again chick.

Hi keisha how's today going?

I've just realised that of you are soon back at work you won't be around so much. I'll miss you.

See you later

M

I'm sure you will either do it or get very close, you are soooo motivated :):):)

Hiya M, eight weeks and counting and I'm really dreading it. After about a year off work, it will be so hard getting back into things and I'm sure going to miss my girls during the day. Hopefully by then the weather would be spring like.
