Kim's diary of being a new mum

Hi hun x try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done. I posted recently about this because baby was having a quiet couple of days, but the next day I was being kicked left, right and centre!
I think sometimes they just have less active days, just like we all do I suppose! I think it's too early to try and establish a pattern, and also in your case hun - what with your anterior placenta - you're probably getting a lot more kicks than you're feeling anyway, so I really wouldn't worry. I know it's hard though because I had a little worry last week for the same thing.

I think we just all have to trust that our babies are all ok in there. They are all healthy and doing absolutely fine. :)

xx

PS: A sonographer when I had my gender scan told me that skittles makes your baby move! Which is why I'm currently sat here eating a bag ;) I'll let you know if it works lol xx

Just be careful on the skittles tho coz they're PACKED with e numbers which we all know are chemicals....

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

Thanks girls just getting impatient that I haven't had any proper kicks yet.... keep willing it to kick really hard!

God knows what it was doing last night though I woke up with the worse pain ever.... like really bad back pain but once I woke up and turned over it went so I assune baby was on a nerve or something and turning shifted it!

Hmm Jess let me know if skittles work ;) I'm not overly keen but cold drinks don't seem to do the trick.

Do you think it's possible to feel where baby is at this early stage? The other morning I woke up on my left side and then I turned on my back and the left side of my tummy felt really hard... naturally I started poking and then it went soft again almost like baby scooted off away from my poking fingers bit I wondered if I was dreaming it! Lol.

Cold drinks don't always work for me either. I find that the kicks are lower down so if I wear something with a tighter waistband I get loads of kicks. If I wear a dress or my pj's I can't always feel it.

Ah maybe I need to stop changing in to my pjs as soon as I get home and Wear something tighter! ;)

Haha jeans do it every time!!

VERY jealous!!!
Although I was only up once... So I guess it was a breakthrough for me too seen as even before getting pregnant I always got up once to a wee.. Unless I had been on the rip the night before.. LOL

So jealous... :( lol

Although, I have to admit, I don't get up during the night but I have about 1-2 hours when I first go to bed of constant peeing lol. I've taken to watching TV in bed for this time so it doesn't feel so annoying. I think if I had drifted off I'd be up a lot during the night as well xx

The joys hey? :) lol xx

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

It's normally at least once or twice a night so I'm very lucky. I'm sure tonight I'll be back to waking up between 1 and 2 and then possibly 4 and 5.... what we go through to have babies eh!

Re: Kim's pregnancy diary

20+5 weeks
Well yesterday I had a really paranoid day about not being able to feel baby..... for the last few days I've felt nothing. The rational part of my brain tells me that the anterior placenta is the cause but the other part of my brain doesn't seem to listen. I ended up having a long chat with my mum who kept asking if I wanted her to listen in to baby but I was so tired and felt bad asking her to come over so have agreed she will listen in tomorrow evening.

I'm still not feeling anything today apart from I have a nerve pain in my groin that comes and goes and back pain.... so maybe baby is laying down there.

Urgh this anterior placenta is driving me mad with worry I keep willing baby to move but it's not working. Not even jeans worked yesterday :( I just want to feel baby and know it's definitely baby!

21 weeks
Another week closer to the big 40 :)

Baby moved yesterday and I could feel wriggling very low. My mum had a listen in to baby last night and was surprised just how low its laying it obviously is comfy down in my pelvis and doesn't like being higher up where there is space! Crazy baby! I'm just relived I was able to feel wriggles again.

Ive got a week off work next week which is a lovely thought :)

Hope you girls have a good weekend :D

Happy 21 weeks and yay to the wriggles!!

21+4 weeks
As part of our sorting in preparation for moving I have packed up all my clothes that no longer fit and tops that I can't wear/don't want to stretch. I seriously have like 1 drawer of clothes left! Depressing! I suppose at least it'll feel like having been on a major shopping spree when I can fit back in to the clothes! I think a spot of Internet shopping for maternity suitable clothes might be in order tonight!

Baby has been kicking away since the weekend....I got woken up this morning at 6am by baby doing martial arts and all I could think was how much I love it already each time it kicks :)

Hope you girls are enjoying your week it's lovely being of work this week... very well needed! :)

Aw that's a good idea x I know it doesn't leave you with much now, but like you said once baby is here it will feel like you've been shopping lol I have so many dresses in my wardrobe that I've never worn because they are too small for me so I can't wait for the day when I can fit into them - will feel like I've just spent loads of money lol :D

I too have been looking at maternity wear today x I want a good pair of maternity over the bump jeans and some nice cosy tops/jumpers for the winter :)

Baby martial arts is always lovely :) hehe sounds like you're having a nice day xx

Hope you're well today hun :) xx
