Kingleds Food Diary - help needed!

God knows what today will be like food wise. I have a breakfast meeting at Claridges (if they even let a prole like me in) & apparently they aren't the kind of establishment who print their menu online so no clue what my choices will be. Lunch will be a salad before my 2nd meeting & dinner will be gammon, egg, tomatoes & mushrooms with beans. Then i am off to an AnnSummers party (talk about sublime to the ridiculous) where depending on the damage done by breakfast i may have a glass if wine or two.
 
2lbs off. Happy with that.

Am cooking tonight for our rather belated wedding anniversary & I'm sure I could have done a full SW meal,but I'm not. Today is off plan. Menu tonight is

Duck lire & raspberry pate with white bread
Seafood bites (prawns, smoked salmon, cream cheese
Fillet steak with roast potatoes, roast parsnip's, baby carrots & broccoli with a mushroom sauce made its Philly light
Apple crumbs & custard
Plus wine

Then back on tomorrow
 
Lovely meal last night - though one of our mates pooped in as I was cooking the steak, and didn't quite take the hint. Perhaps I should have been cooking in some lingerie & then he MIGHT have got the message!


Breakfast today: ex lean bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked bean

Lunch: grilled salmon with some salad

Dinner: don't know- my consultant is cooking for her social team, and I've been told to keep both my HEB's & all my Syns for it!
 
Well, the meal at my consultants house was lovely for the most part! Roasted Stuffed peppers to start (stuffed with rice & ham), Turkey stuffed with garlic, chill & ham flavoured quark (frankly the quark was not my fav thing, but it didn't ruin it) then rolled in cous cous to make it crunchy, served with a french potato dish which did have syns in (& was AMAZING), and vegetables. Then a strawberry mouse, and chocolate mouse (again, both with quark in, and again, it didn't ruin it even if its not my fav thing.) a glass of wine, and the whole thing was 15 syns!!! Very impressed

So, food plan for today.
Breakfast: Fruit, yogurt, and fruit & fibre

Lunch: forgot my lunhc this morning so went & bought a tin of tuna, a microwave rice (3.5 syns - such a waste but needs must) and have some carrot, cucumber and pepper sticks with me, plus a pear. I also have a chicken pasta mugshot in my bag which I mighth ave instead of hte rice to save the syns. Just worried it won't be enough as I am going to the gym after work so won't eat til quite late on.

Dinner: Will be Mediteranean Chicken with my HEA of cheese sprinkled on top.
 
Have eaten the rice, every single last grain of it (if I'm counting 3.5 sysn for some rice I'm bloody eating it all!) but I am still hungry. In meetings for the next 2 hours - not sure I can cope!!

All I have left in my draw is a pear, a box of jaffa cake minis (6 syns) and an options (2 syns). I can see myself using all my syns by 5pm.

On the plus side I am off to the gym tonight so a) I will burn them off and b) I won't have time to eat anymore afterwards!

Manybe I should offer the Jaffa cakes around so that someone eats at least 1/2 of them.
 
So i shared the jaffa cakes - making my syn tally 6.5 for the day so far.

Am going to have an options with squirty cream (3 syns)

Gym last night was astruggle - my back went on me on sunday :(, so I did a 25 mins walk to burn some extra cals. Back is feeling a bit better today so am glad I didn't push it.

Food today

Breakfast: 30g honey nut shredded wheat (HEB) with melon, pineapple, blueberries, kiwi, strawberries & blackberries. A mullerlight yogurt

Mid morning snack: carrot & cucumber sticks

Lunch: Lentil & Vegetable Chilli

Dinner: Spicy Chicken with Pasta, 42g reduced fat cheese (HEA).


Syns. Will probably have a 2 finger kit kat (5 syns), an options (2 syns) with some squirty cream (1 syn) this evening. Plus another options at work (2 syns).
 
At a conference today so lunch might be a bit of a struggle, but i'm just gonna have to mske the best choices available

Breakfast: bowl of fruit (melon, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi & blackberries, with 35g jordans muesli (heb) & a mullerlight

Lunch- who knows!

Dinner: Carribean turkey stew with rice (tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, peppers)
 
Ended up having a chicken kebab last night, no pitta. Lunch was a disaster of epic proportions but its done now!

Breakfast today is the usual bowl of mixed fruit with a mullerlight & some muesli

Lunch: Butternut Squash soup with carrots & mange tout

Dinner: Carribean Turkey Stew with Rice.

HEA- Will be used on some cheese tonight to go on a couple of ryvitas (3 syns). Will also have an options with some squirty cream on it (3 syns)
 
Breakfast: Bowl of mixed fruit with 30g muesli (HEB) with a mullerlight

Lunch: Lentil & Vegetable Chilli (tomatoes, peppers, lentils, chickpeas, courgette)

Dinner: Spaghetti Bolgnese with 42g reduced fat cheese (HEA)
 
Didn't fancy my lunch, so bought a side salad, some hot smoked salmon, and some Orzo pasta with roasted tomatoes with M&S. The pasta is 1.5 syns with the vingerette dressing, but I didn't eat that bit - will still count it as 1.5 syns just to be safe. Plus had a count on us peach & apricot yogurt as well.

Yup - thems the ones! Not sure on whetheri have lost this week tbh, i am never sure!
 
So, 0.5lb on. Tbh, went out for dinner last night & it's * week, so am okay with that.

Food plan for today is

Fibre plus bar & an apple after weigh in

Ex lean bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans for lunch

Dinner: we are out for drinks tonight, but I want to make sure I eat properly before we go, so fillet steak, SW chips, and salad it is! Can't wait - the steak looks amazing!

Have also bought 10lbs of chicken breasts, 5lbs ex lean mince &, 2 packs of low fat sausages, along Hirt esteaks from my local butcher - less than 6
£60. Enough meat for dinners for 2 weeks, plus lunches for the OH as well for the month. Bargain!

Syns tonight - booze, will be having rum & diet cokes
 
So the syn damage last night was 25 - can live with that.

Today food plan is

Breakfast: ex lean bacon, an egg, some tomatoes & mushrooms, baked beans, and 1 sausage from my local butchers (1 Syns). Will cook the whole packet & use for low syn hangover munchies :)

Lunch: doubt I'll have anything exciting, probably just a mugshot or some butternut squash soup if it's ready in time

Dinner: my variation on the hearty chicken one pot in the new book. I've omitted some ingredients like leeks & celery the OH hates them, upped the carrot proportions, and have added some jerk seasoning to it to give it a kick. I'll be serving with broccoli & sweet potato mash

For my weekly cook up I'm doing shepherds pies (little individual ones) caribbean chicken & veg stew, lentil & veg dhal, south indian vegetable curry, chicken curry, keema curry, Mediterranean chicken & a chicken organ josh. Shou,d keep us going for a while :)
