Lauras Diary of Incubating

Hiya girls. Sorry I haven't been on. I'm changing my internet provider so have no internet unless out somewhere with wi fi. Anyway I should be all ready in a few weeks.

Anyway since I was on last I've been okay. Been having a lot of braxton hicks and other pains. Doctor has told me to go on bed rest, baby is engaged and I'm feeling alot of pressure. But I'm still hoping to make it another few weeks to give baby a better chance.
I hope everyone is well and I hope I can catch up properly soon

Glad everything is ok you had us a little worried there.

Hope you are managing to get plenty of rest and keep bubba in there for a few more weeks.

Thanks for popping on to let us know you are ok :)

Aw so glad you're ok!! Make sure you do get as much rest as possible to keep that little one cooking. Not long to your due date now though :) xx

Aww thanks for looking in on me girls. I'll try to rest more now. Spent all day yesterday finishing my Christmas and birthdays shopping. I am knackered today so not gonna do much. Hubby should be home from farm at lunch so I may even go to bed then.

TUESDAY -- 12/11/2013 -- 34+4

Ya I am finally connected again. Moved over from the wee tongle thing to sky broadband so hoping it'll be an approvement and cheaper!

So as you all know the doc wants me to rest as much as possible so I've been trying to tie up loose ends so that I have less to do. I've finished the Christmas shopping, bought all birthday presents for anyones birthday coming up soon. I've wrapped it all and put it away :D, well labelled incase hubby has to deliver them. I've written the dates for each birthday in our family planner and told him he is to check it when I'm in hospital.

I've packed my suitcase for the hospital (all in one medium sized suitcase).

2 dark towels

Slippers
3 pairs pyjamas and 2 nighties
Wash bag - toothbrush, paste, body creme, face cream, soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodarant, hairbrush, bobbles, nipple cream and witch hazel.
Sanatary towels - the big kotex ones, they are the most comfortable when your all scratched!
Breast pads

€20
BABIES STUFF:
6 vests - long sleeved
6 babygros
Towel
Wash cloth
Cotton wool
Nappies
2 cellular blankets

1 t-shirt for hubby
My wash bag will go in this bag first

2 going home outfits for baby - 1 girl and 1 boy - both fleecy
2 blankets
1 baby hat
1 car seat
Changing bag

So thats what I've been up too, today I'm gonna try and sort out my bedroom, make space for the cot at my side of the bed. Then I'll wash down bed and put on new mattress we got yesterday YAY.

That shouldn't take me too long, then I'll relax. I made double the stew yesterday so we'll have that again today.

Baby is doing well I think. I managed to get a little tickle of its foot yesterday. It seemed to like being tickled as it let hubby do it later too lol.. I'm feeling heavy now though, legs are sore and restless every evening around 6ish so I've to have a hot shower then and put on loose clothes. I've been going to bed in and around 9p.m most nights but sleep on and off. Still feeling exhausted but I guess its part and parcel of being 34 weeks pregnant;).

I'm gonna try and catch up on threads now but I'm well aware I am about 40 pages behind in most so forgive me if I ask anything already explained . I'll try and keep more involved now. xx

Welcome back!! Glad to see you're all sorted with the bags etc. Not long to go now :) xx

Welcome back :) glad you've managed to sort everything out and can focus on resting until baby makes his/her appearance :) lovely to see you back :) x

Yeah I'm delighted I don't seem to be having much trouble with baby so far this last few weeks.
Frances if you ask your midwife she should have a list for your hospital bag, mine came in the pack they give you at check in, in the magazine. Most hospitals do one for what they want you to bring. x

As far as I know we'll get one at our AN classes.. And am sure the hospital will give me one at some point.. There's so many lists available and while all the obvious bits n bobs are on them, they differ so much.. Hard to know exactly whats needed and whats just taking up space when you're a first timer...

Hope you don't mind me popping in to say hi Laura :) You sound very organised, much more so than me given that baby could be here in two weeks! Your list is fantastic, some good stuff for me to think about there so thanks for sharing xxx

Just be aware we have to stay in for at least 3 days in Ireland so for England you might need less stuff x

My god you girls are busy. I have tried to catch up on threads but they are moving too quickly. I'll read a few more tomorrow.

I had a busy day today, must be nesting again, or had a surge of energy or something. Anyway got loads done. I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, did all my laundry - even ironed and put away everything. Cleaned my stairs, washed them all individually. Completely cleared out and cleaned my daughters room. I sorted through all her books and took out the ones that are too young for her now. She loved it! Completely cleared out my sons room of all clothes that don't fit him and washed out his drawers and wardrobe. Sterilised all door handles and railings, dusted all doors and skirtings.
I still have loads to do tomorrow but if I don't feel like it I'll leave it, loving the energy surge though and I'm just hoping its not the one I usually get before labour eeeek:eek:

Food wasn't too bad apart from 2...yes 2 double decker bars

BREAKFAST
1 cheese and ham toastie
1 activia 0% yoghurt drink

LUNCH
Double decker bar
Apple
2 mandarin oranges

DINNER
Stew left from yesterday
Broccoli & cauliflower
New potatoes

SNACK
Toast
Double Decker bar :flirt2:

lol I can barely keep up with how quickly some of the threads/diaries move and so I understand that one. I mostly only come on once a day (if that) at the moment and for not very long and so am really struggling to keep up with everything

I dont understand how you can do so much  Just ONE of those things you got up to would have left me sitting down exhausted for the rest of the day!! Make sure you dont over-do it :D

xx

35+2 -- 17/11/2013 -- SUNDAY

Well stupid internet went completely again there for a while, but I rang them up, they talked me through mending it and I think its okay now. Was annoying though because I got really far behind on threads again. Everyone seems to be doing as well as possible though and loving looking at lots of Nurserys in the making.

I'm feeling okay. I've had a very sharp pain just under my bump this last few days though, nearly feels like contractions, I've a midwife appointment on Wednesday so I'll run it past her then. I am nearly sure its either babies head ingaging or just muscle strain.

I am obsessed with keeping the house tidy, not just clean but everything has to be in its place. Its tiring, especially when hubby seems to like leaving stuff about and the kids are being kids. I'm knackered too, really really tired and I cannot get a good nights sleep. Baby is busy though which is great! I can watch its wee foot move about and see it stick its bum away out. Love sitting looking at all the movements at night.

Anyway I will hopefully be on everyday now xx

Fingers crossed that the internet starts behaving itself and you can keep up with how quick the threads seem to be moving these days!!

I'm the same with needing everything to have a place. Poor Tom, he gets told off if he puts the Flora on the wrong fridge shelf ;)

Glad baby is having a good wriggle and you can see the movement. I've still not seen anything other than the odd belly jerk because of my placenta but I do keep getting a foot in the ribs!!

Hope you're making sure you're getting plenty of rest as well as tidying up!!xx
