Lauras Diary of Incubating

My MIL passed away peacefully on Wednesday with all her family there. She looked so content. We buried her yesterday. I miss her already :'(

Laura I'm so sorry. Expecting it doesn't make it any easier, I know that from experience. You can take some comfort knowing you were there for her at the end and she's no longer in pain. I know it's a bit of a cop out to say that and people have said it to me in the past but as time has gone on I've realised it's true. Big hugs and lots of love xxx

So sorry Laura, I can only repeat what Sarah lou said. She's out of pain now and at peace.
My thoughts are with you and your lovely family.

OMG I cannot stop eating. I've had a big mac for lunch and 3 donuts tonight!!!! But I did manage to make chilli con carne for dinner.

First app tomorrow at the clinic. I'll be 12 weeks so hoping they'll get the heartbeat. I got my scan date too which is on Tuesday.

2 women at my daughters school congratulated me on my good news today. One said she wouldn't normally comment only my bump was a very obvious baby bump and I looked lovely. My sister asked me at the weekend and my BIL accidentally told my mom lol, so its well and truly out of the bag.

Still feeling sick and I have a constant headache which is probably down to stress.

I'll get round other threads once I get credit for my laptop. Hope everyone is well and happy.

Had clinic this morning and they found the heart beat YAY :-D

Doc did a breast check too and she said they are very nobly so she needs to redo at next app.

Feeling very sick and tired today.

Hiya Tracy, how's things? See you are doing shakes now, fair play, I'd say its hard enough but nice not to have to overthink food.

I'm alright, this heat is making me light headed and a bit breathless but loving being out and about in the sun all the same.

Hubby is fine, he is coping really well. The kids are a little out of sorts, seem to be playing up more, don't know if its the heat or something else. My DD misses granny but chats away about her in heaven which I think is good.

12+5 - Monday - 10/06/13

Sorry I've been awol for a few days, the sun has been out and I didn't wanna miss much of it so we've been out and about alot.

I'm so excited about tomorrow. Its my scan!!!!!! We get our first one at the hospital for booking in and all our other scans at the local clinic. The doctor here in my clinic wants me to attend the hospital for all my scans as she isn't happy with my history and the scans we receive at the clinic. The scans at the clinic are done on a very small machine and its hard to get a really good picture. We'll see how it goes though.

My morning sickness is much better, I just be physically sick now in the morning and rarely feel sick unless I am tired or don't eat regularly enough. I am struggling with my clothes, I've had to start wearing maternity clothes which is really early for me. I was at least 18 weeks with my 2 kids before I had to wear maternity clothes, this time around I'm clearly pregnant, but its just my tummy.

I've also booked a music and food festival camping trip down the country for the end of this month. I can't wait, the kids will love it. My sister, her hubby and DD are going too. I need to invest in a blow up matress though I think. I'm hoping sickness will go away for that lol. But there is plenty of food outlets at it though to keep me going ;).

The weather has been fab so I've been awol too lol!! Gotta enjoy while it lasts in this country haha! Still lovely here today though rain is due tomorrow.

Very exciting about the scan. Don't be worrying about maternity clothes and such. Mum was like a bumpkin with me but wasn't with the other 3. And then she ended up being lighter after she gave birth to me than she was before she was preggers lol!! I was just a good big healthy baby so I'd say your in for the same hehe :) its all good.

Festival sounds great! Whereabouts is that?
Mint humbug for brekkie missus?? Tsk tsk!!! Xx

I know I know I shouldn't be having a sweet for breakie, but only thing would stop the wretching lol.

The festival is in westport. I can't wait. But now I'm gonna have to buy a tent, daddys one I was gonna borrow is too small for us all. But sure it'll be an investment, I love camping!!

I'm hoping this baby won't be too big, my other two were 5'11 and 6'11 so they were manageable haha

Oh she sure was... There was a baby at the end of the ward that was a 6lb'er.. We were all like "aww.. I wana cuddle her" ha ha ha.. She was adorable tho.. And we weren't so afraid when her big brothers wanted a cuddle (they were 5 n 6 at the time) coz she was such a pudden...
Mind you.. her Mam was taken in 2 weeks before her due date as she'd suffered a very bad ectopic pregnancy previously so thye couldn't risk her going full term... Good job I say...lol

I love little babies too, parts of me were very very relieved lol. The girl beside me had a baby and it was massive, people were coming from all over the ward to have a look at it  and its poor mother had to sit on a blow up ring !!

OMG that poor woman! 12lbs....brings tears to the eyes!

I dread to think what my babies would have been if I'd gone full term too. My daughter (5'11) was 4 weeks early and my son (6'11) was 3 weeks early so they probably would have been around the 10lb mark if I'd gone full term...safe to say I'm a little nervous.

Anyway had my appointment today and all went great. Saw my little squishy bouncing around. Measuring perfectly at 12wk4d, so I was 2 days short on my estimations...not bad really. I'm now due on the 20th instead of the 18th :D. She was happy with my BMI and happy with blood pressure and urine. I've to be back for a 20 week anomally (sp?) scan and back in at 24/26weeks for a glucose test that they now do on everyone. I'm excited for the scan and a bit nervous for the glucose test. Gonna have to rein in all the bad foods I think. Would really hate to have GD.

Also bought a tent today for the festival, can't wait now!!!
