Thought so. We were on the island of Malabo which is the capital of Equatorial Guinea and were taken to see a church being built. The men were working and had a huge bonfire going. They were eating something and I asked them what it was. One ran and shinned up the tree and cut the huge fruit down and then showed me as he cut it up but they sort of toasted it to cook it. I seem to remember it tasted alright.

It's pretty tasteless but it soaks up other flavours and my husband and I both preferred it to the Asda veggie pulled pork we had the other week.

It's not too expensive one tin did both of us and it cost £1.20 for the tin so I'm going to get a few more this week

You can't get the jack fruit from Asda I got it from an ethnic store near work.
