Adding to the water discussion, I've been told both times on LT (at different pharmacies) that its a minimum 4 pints a day. I drink around 4 litres a day but be careful as there is a thing as drinking too much water and it can kill you.
As for the soups from personal experience I started LT on 20th Jan. I have soup every day and was adding black pepper, paprika and chilli powder to them. It didn't affect my weight loss but I found I was hungry alot of the time and thinking about eating constantly. I had to take a break in March as I was going away and started again at the end of March. This time I haven't added anything at all to the soups and I've found it alot better. I'm never hungry and I don't think about eating all the time. I can also prepare food and look at recipes for maintenance without getting moody and jealous.
So moral being it may not affect your losses but may interfere in other ways. Also that and the fact its supposed to be bland to "re-train" our palate.
