Little Miss Naughty's Food Diary

Good morning all,

What a stupid time to get up on a Saturday morning! I woke up at 4 and then couldn't get back to sleep, so thought I might as well get up.

I got on the scales for my mid week weigh in and I've lost 1 1/2 lbs, super pleased with that, I can see the 12 getting further away from me which is fab :)

I'm on a mission to be good today and tomorrow. Today I'm going to Abbey Park to walk my daughter run in a charity event she is doing with school, I'm planning to do loads of walking around Abbey Park and then walking into town to get some lunch (I will be good). It's looking like I'll be able to hit my 2lb target this week if I continue to be good, that is a positive to carry me through the next few days :)

Yay, if your super good this weekend you can get 3lb come wed. It’s horrird isn’t it when so close the the number haha I relax abit more when get to like somethin 10 lol.

I really hope I can get 3lbs this week but totm is looming. So will have to see.
I love seeing the 11 or the 4 on the scales lol.
 
Good morning all,

Had a great day yesterday but foodwise it didn't quite go to plan!
I had an icecream while watching my daughter run and then went out for dinner and had a sharing platter and chips, I shared it with hubby as far too much (oh yes my stomach has shrunk big time!) I reckon I probably had about 800 - 1000 calories but it's hard to tell. Then I got back and some friends saw us in the garden, so we had a couple of drinks. I had 2 rhubarb gins with diet lemonade and lots of lemon, so probably not too bad. All in all, I probably had about 1400 calories, so not too bad but the food choices were terrible. I did walk over 5 miles though, so I guess its not so bad when you look at it like that.

Today I'm off to the donnington museum, we're taking my grandad as he loves cars, so should be a good day. We're going out for dinner on the way home, that will probably be a carvery, so I will be in full control :)

I've been reading on a facebook group that if you stop losing weight then you should up your calories to start it going again.....I'm not sure how I feel about that, it just seems wrong but then I guess on the weeks that I've ate more, I've still had a loss so maybe it does work.

You will be fine with that cause they say 1500 is a pound a week. Plus you won’t eat much mon and tue so will shock your body back into it.

We went to that museum years ago there was a car meet there don’t ask lol hubby likes cars.

I keep meaning to get ice creams in freezer cause they are quite low to be fair and would feel really naughty.

Look at me I eat crap at weekend then it soon comes off so reckon that’s right it’s tellin your body that here’s somethin fatty now look how good I’m being hahaha

Good morning all

Yesterday kinda didn't really go to plan but I think I managed to stay within my calories.
My food ended up being roast chicken and chips for lunch and then I had some cheesey nachos for a snack later in the evening as was really hungry. But that's all I had all day and I probably had 6 pints of iced water with lemon slice so that will hopefully have helped burned a few calories.

I've not got on the scales today for a sneeky look, I'll wait until Wednesday.

Plan for today is 3 snacks during the day totaling 200 calories and then chilli with wedges tonight for dinner, that will keep me well within my 1000 calories. I'm into lemon and lime in cold ice water at the minute instead of beer, wine and diet coke, so will probably have a few glasses tonight again. Lemon in water is really good for burning fat, so hopefully it will help :)
 
Opinions please...

I've just read that it is ok to carry calories over until the next day. So you can have a treat on the weekend and it still be ok.
Personally I think we know that this would work as we have all done it from time to time without realising we've done it, as we stay so low during the week.
I'm not sure how I would feel about doing this for the purpose, currently with me it just kind of happens. I wounder if I knew I could do it, I would do it more and it would become like SW where I'm drinking and eating loads every weekend because I can and then wouldn't see great results on the scales.
What do you think? Do you think it would be harmful planning to save calories for the weekend?
 
IMHO, it's OK, but I think it depends on the food, if it's heavy them you might retain water, for that, drink lots of water, try only save for the one meal not an entire day of crap lol, not forgetting your weigh day is mid week, have you considered moving it, to give you more time to figure out what works? Friday morning perhaps.

Only thing to do is trial and error, maybe carry on as you are until after you return from your next holiday xx

I know exacytly what you're saying.
Personally I don't think I'll do it because I think it will become like SW when you have lots of STS weeks and then my motivation will go. I'd never heard of it before, so just wondered what your views were on it.

I used to weigh in on a Monday but that was too close to the weekend. The reason I now do Wednesday is because I normally go on holiday on a Thursday and come back on a weekend, so it gives me a few days after to get back on the diet wagon and it means I get a couple of extra days before I go as well. I know it's all in my head, lol but it works for me.

It’s hard isn’t it it’s all trial and error. Il be honest with what your eating in the week you could afford to have a treat at weekend and still get a good loss. If you think 1500 to loose a pound a week and your having 1000 or less mon- fri that’s 2500 calories right there spare . It could work well for you givin your body more and tricking it .

I think when I used to just have a takeaway I would still loose 2 it was when the drink started I was in the 1lb club. My body was still loosing all the gain aswell on top tho.

What are you thinking drop even lower in the week then use them cals for extra at weekend?

What I used to do is try keep low as I could Saturday then have my takeaway for tea. But now if I fancy a cake in the day or a choc bar il have it because I see Saturday as not my 100% day. It works well for me and some Saturdays Iv had totally what I wanted depends what mood I’m in really. If someone said let’s go for drinks and food I’d go Life is short you have to live aswell. My main thing is gettin straight back on it the next day and ur fine.

You will fine tho it’s not like slimming world because u won’t want as much I wouldn’t dream now of having on my plate what i used to. I get full sooner and I like the feeling of not feeling ill when I’ve eaten too much haha

I totally agree with what you're saying. I was just trying to get an opinion because I'd read it somewhere. I don't think I'll get into the mindset of using my spare calories but when I read it, it got me thinking. I usually have more at the weekend anyway and believe that it does help to trick my body. I just don't think, I like the idea of knowingly saving the calories like I did with syns because I think it would trick my mind into thinking I don't need to think at the weekend, which given time could be a disaster, lol.

I'm loving what I'm doing at the minute, getting a loss even if only a pound every week, is great and keeps me motivated nicely.
 
Your prob right actually if knew you had enough not to count your fri,sat and sun could be a disaster .

I think we do know.
We're all doing so well at the minute. I really don't want to change anything I'm doing because I don't want to see a gain on any week. I've got a clean slate so far and don't want to blow it now. Although in a few weeks time I've got a weekend away followed by midweek, followed by weekend. So will have to be super careful for all of that. I should be ok if I plan it all.
 
You know what I find amazing how we have all these things going on but we still loose every week it’s amazing. Normally with slimming world I know if Iv had a day off plan may aswell give in because won’t loose any. Then the times I was brill and sts I would eat cause I would be pissed off haha.

I’m comin up to 4 months now and in that time Iv had 2 weeks with a gain it’s crazy .
