LIVERPOOL MEET 11-12 JULY

Having a duvet day today, big bad headache, but wanted to pop in and say thanks, especially to Carol, for a great night on Saturday.
It was lovely to meet you all, and even better escaping for an evening
Thoroughly enjoyed helping Debbie with her vodka (thanks Allan), catching the last 10 mins of Kappa and getting our eardrums blown apart, strolling around a windswept waterfront in my Crocs(despite living here, fall in love with the city all over again everythime I go), chatting to Cat and Irene, meeting Sharon again and the lovely M, etc etc etc. The meal was delish and the company delightful.
Carol, thank you so much for encouraging me to come and for being my taxi home.
I told myself I hadn't drunk much and convinced Rohan it was a cheap night out, but the checked my purse, oops, and then wondering why my head still hurts today. Blaming it on age, or PMT, whatever, worth every penny.
Incidentally, returned to Liverpool yesterday afternoon, have to say Carol, the car park is easier to navigate when there are more cars around And I won't tell Allan about those red lights...

Busy busy busy!!
Firstly a big Thank You to Carol Mrs Depp for organising the meet.
Secondly lovely to meet her and the others I've not met before. Plus reaquaint ourselves with the more familiar faces!
Thirdly we all had a great time!!!! Yyyaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
Oh and fourthly I lost 1lb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must have been all that extra walking KP and Allan had us doing around Liverpool. If ever you want to get somewhere don't ask a policeman or a navigator to direct you!!!
KP, my sister Sandy and I had an absolutely great time chatting with friends new and old. A lovely stroll around the Albert Docks and a really nice meal. Wonderful weather, location, company and food!

My feet are still sore - not the shoes for going for a marathon stroll eh!
Brilliant news on the lost pound... must be something about this weekend as my scales were a lot friendlier than I was expecting too

I had the most brilliant weekend! Thanks so much to all of you for making it such fun.
After saying our goodbyes yesterday, we decided to take advantage of the wonderful weather and stayed around for the rest of the day. After a trip on the Mersey Ferry we spent the afternoon basking in the sunshine (and drinking a very large Pimms!) in Albert Dock before heading off home, getting back about 11.30 pm last night.
Astonishingly, I stayed exactly the same weight while I was away - which I think is the first time I've ever been on a meet and NOT gained a few lbs!
I totally LOVE Liverpool and have decided I definitely need an annual 'Kappa fix' from now on.
So ... who's up for Liverpool 2009 then?

Evening ladies, had a busy day at work, felt knackered by lunch time, it was great to put names to pictures, Bev my shoes did fit, they had leather soles and no it wasnt the drink that made me slip on the stairs, i will defenatly come to liverpool next time, may even try for the whole weekend, the company was great, and i enjoyed all the girls in the hotel who were having a pajama party on my level, some of the outfits left nothing to the imagination
