See if these are any good, those people who have already booked are all staying at Jury's but there are loads of hotels around the Albert Dock area so I'll have another look if these are no good.

I'll try and get a few more details of hotels in the Dock if anyone wants to have a look. Best get deciding where to book as they're usually very busy in the summer months.

I'd like to provisionally put my name down for this one too, if that's ok? I'm off on my honeymoon the following weekend, so all will depend on whether or not everything is prepared and ready. Doubt I'll be staying over, but will try to make one of the two days.

Hotels wise..... not in the centre, but there's an Innkeepers Lodge on Queens Drive. Basic, next to a great pub that does a fantastc carvery o), but clean and "all you need" really - and VERY cheap! Twin or double rooms just under £30 per night, including continental breakfast at the pub next door. I've used it several times when I've wanted to go out into town after a big game, never had any problems atall. Taxi about £5 before midnight the last time I stayed there....

Liverpool North Hotel - Stoneycroft Toby Carvery - Innkeeper's Lodge as I said, not lxurious, but the info may be of interest to someone.

Could I also suggest Sports Cafe England as an eating/drinking place?? I know not everyone's into sport (there are dozens of screens in there), but there are no screens in the eating section, and the menu is very good - LOTS of healthy options (it's owned by Jamie Carragher, LFC footballer for those who don't know, and his aim was healthy eating in a good environment - achieved this in my opinion) and VERY reasonable prices!! Well stocked bar too with, again, healthy options as well as lots of lovely alcohol!

Glad I'm not the only one who thought it seemed thin on the ground.

Oh you must come CC! If you've got a hotel room booked you're one of the lucky ones as it's a major 'Beatles' weekend in Liverpool that weekend and available rooms are about as rare as rocking horse sh*t

Liverpool is the BEST place to go out for a weekend. In fact, so much so I even did it all by myself at the meet last year! I was the ONLY one who had a hotel room booked as everyone else was 'local'.

After we'd been to see Kappa at the Cavern pub and then went for something to eat, the other girls had to go their various ways. I then had to decide whether to call it a night and head back to my hotel - or make the most of being in Liverpool for just one night. In the end, I thought "sod it" and decided to go and party all by myself (god, that took some courage I can tell ya! ). Guess where I ended up? Yep, Flares (of all places! *lol*) and I had absolutely the most fun time I've had in ages

I stayed at the HI Express on Albert Dock last year. It's a great place to stay!

I'm in Jury's Inn this time, but I'm sure we won't be far away from each other
