Mn, I guess it's definitely worth thinking about for the future then :)

I suppose on a practical note it would have to be a casual word of mouth thing that it's pro SW, pretty complex legalities involved with their brandname being bandied about for business use one would imagine :(

Sorry to dissapoint, I'm gonna do the slimming eats recipe instead of thinking up my own lol I've got all the stuff in for it so it'll be an easy peasey one for tomorrow's lunch between work and the school run :) I'll post a pic of the result though x

What's do you do with a custard apple. Do you just eat it or do you have to cook it.

Hmn well I chucked mine straight into the compost bin :( It had gone overripe I think so it had that sharp tangy taste that juice can get when it's been kept too long.

You can't eat the skin or the seeds, you can probably cook it but I was gonna just eat it. Hohum, try it again another time and get round to eating it quicker I guess - if I can be bothered. Think I'd rather have a regular old cox apple ;):D

Hmmn, I've made some honey roasted almonds for a late snack - going to deduct a hexb but wondering how many syns I can count. Rule of thumb being 1 hexb = 6 syns but a hexb of 10 almonds works out at 5 syns.

Should probably go with the latter amount I guess since there's other stuff in the recipe that shouldn't get counted :sigh: Hope they taste good, look a little burnt :(

I have searched high and low and probably am as blind as a bat haha
but try as i might i can't find your hot and sour soup recipe Lo

arrrgggghhh

I so wanna make it

Aws lol It's in here somewhere but luckily I posted it on the recipes section too - easier to locate :D

http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/236673-hot-sour-soup.html

Hope you enjoy it hun :) x

PS I've not updated the recipe thread but as Lily42Uk has found, you can sub the cornflour for xanthan gum if you can get hold of it. You only need a tiny amount which has negligible syns so it reduces the syns right down to 1 for the whole lot on an EE day so virtually syn free! I'm gonna try this way out later this week once my xanthan gum arrives in t'post :D

Off to bed now - shattered and sore from finding my core muscles on the wii fit earlier. Who knew they existed, and could hurt so much from playing 'games' :8855:

Will post my food diary for today in t'morning. The almonds were nice, synned them at 1 hexb & 1.5 syns. Might try maple roasted cashews tomo'w. Nutty hex week :D

Night x

Hey Lo, you can buy Xanthan Gum in Tesco's £2.35 for 100g, will last forever xxxx

Morning Lily :)

I couldn't find the xanthan gum on tescos online and there's no big store near me so couldn't wait until I could get someone to take me (neither me or the OH drive) :sigh:

Found it online for £2.50 for 200g, free p&p. If 100g lasts a lifetime, I can pass the rest of this 200g pot down to my grandchildren then :8855:

Food diary for yesterday - green day

Brunch - chilli roasted cashews (hexb & 1 syn), 10 prunes (5 syns), chopped apple, activia yoghurt

Afternoon - milky coffee (hexa), cadbury wishes star (8 syns)

D - Red dragon pie (named for the adzuki beans - 1 syn), broccoli, sugar snap peas, red pepper.
Red Dragon Pie.jpg
2 figs chopped with vanilla activia

Evening - honey roasted almonds (hexb & 1.5 syns), chopped apple and activia yoghurt

Exercise - 45mins on wii fit, 20 mins calf stretches.

My Biggest Loser power walk dvd has turned up finally so might do that for my cardio today but with another go on the wii fit too - seems more addictive this time round. Maybe the week off most exercise last week has left endorphins tasting all the more delicious heehee :D

Thanks for that Lo and even more exciting lol I have Xanthan gum lurking in the cupboard
oh happy days!!!
foodage for yesterday looks good liking the sound of the red dragon pie I've never tried adzuki
beans before though can you get them in tins pre cooked I'm always a bit worried by dried beans
all this rapid boiling for 10minutes etc freaks me out a bit

Mn the recipe I used said just to soak them overnight then cook them for 50 mins beforehand - used this recipe from my local co-op - Red Dragon Pie

Left out the oil and used 20g of light olive spread for the mash and it came to 4.5 syns for the lot :)

I didn't read the bit about reserving the stock so added some vegetable stock instead lol
