long haul s&s bods??

You guys are great, it seems like a long stretch, but all be worth it!

I was so sure I wanted to go off plan for my birthday (in 16 days) but after a good weekend on plan, and no issues...i feel like I would just be setting myself back for no reason!! Going to keep on trucking, hopefully cam loose some before holiday and come back with a decent loss!

Think getting back into ketosis would be a nightmare right now!

Hi. I'm only on my ninth day on slim and save but hope to be on it for the long haul. My first week saw me go from 16st0.8lbs to 15st2.6lbs and ideally I should love to be somewhere in the top end of the nines. My lowest adult weight was 10st3lbs and that was many decades ago.

I have a great incentive in that I'm hoping to have a hip replacement in October and want to lose as much weight as possible before then. The consultant I saw in January said they would give me the spring and summer, and if I could lose another stone after the two I lost on SW last year it would be good, but he realised I can get very little exercise at the moment (bone on bone and can only partially turn my right hip), so if I can't lose any more, he'll do it anyway. I am so looking forward to seeing his face when I go back for a review in a few months time..... I shall probably have to take a break while in hospital, but that should only be for a few days, then hopefully straight back on plan for me.

I don't want to jinx my plans, but would say I am finding this easier than I would ever have imagined. I'm doing the 3packs plus protein and find the veggie/salad allowance and the milk for tea makes all the difference in compliance. I think this year the fact that from January to the end of May I explored and tried South Beach, JUDDD, and total calorie counting, has made it a fairly small and painless step to get onto Slim and Save. And of course the tremendous support and information found on this site provides a daily background to my efforts, and I am grateful :)
 
Welcome Woodhouse. I'd like to see your consultant's face when you see him next too. You could be around 3 stone or so lighter by then and I'm sure that will be so important for you in recovery so you have a fabulous intentive. Glad you're finding it quite easy. Good luck!
 
Thanks, BG. I did just touch on 21st about eight years ago, and have tried various diets all my adult life, but had to get my head straight on a lot of family stresses first before I got to this. But I suppose it happens when it happens!! x

I know things will slow down for me, dont think I will see 6lb down in 5 days like last week again!! Think I am going to lower my goal a bit.. eek... lol I might regret it, but gotta shoot for my real dreamy weight!!
 
Thanks rebekah I am close to my Initial goal of 13 stone but I may lower it when I get there :) I would ideally like to be 11.5-12 stone,
 
wowsers, you have lost so much really fast, well done :)

my goal is 9, but think 8,2 be ideal for giving me some breathing space, hoping to compete in my first bodybuilding show next year, on stage would hope to be just under 9. Way to go but all be worth it :)

I'm focussing on my end target. I started with 9:4.5 to lose, but now its only 6:4 to go. Matt and I are hoping to go on holiday in October, so will aim to lose as much as poss by then! Got 8 weeks til my mums birthday weekend, so would Love to lose another 2 stone by then, and then holiday is 8 weeks after that, so hoping for a further 2 by then-which will take me to 7 stone loss!! That's such an exciting-yet daunting-thought xxx

If that was in response to mine, I won't be skinny lol! But will hopefully be 4 stone lighter than I am now lol xx
