Looking for a buddy for slimming world. Started 2 days ago!!

I had a lovely tea tonight it is a family favourite, my son and his wife always want this when they come to tea. It's called Texas Hash and sin free, you need to fry two onions and a green pepper in fry light put that into a casserole dish, fry lean mince beef until browned off add to onions and peppers. Add a teaspoon salt, black pepper and chilli powder to taste, a tin chopped tomatos ( I add fresh ones as well) and 75-100g of rice, mix all together and put in over on 180 for 1 hr. a one pot meal, lovely. You could serve it with a salad and French stick for the rest of the family not on s/w.
 
Hi All. The syn free quiche with the quark is nice, hubby likes it too. Definitely a good idea for a work packed lunch or even at home. BMG well done - great weight loss. Maintain for me this week - no reason for it apart from it's mid month of the monthly cycle and last month I was plus 0.5 for no reason so it may just be my pattern - disappointing but just need to stick with it and hope the rewards show at the scales next week. Oh I bought my sister the Asian cookbook for her bday pressie next week lol. - she bought me choccies in March. :)

Hi Aqua, don't be too disheartened about STS I think we will all have those weeks but from what u say its an improvement from last month and lots of people gain when it's their *week so you did good not to. Did you make the quiche in small individual ones or a family size one? I normally stay away from quiche although I love it with chips and beans but I may give it a try when I get back from holiday. I'm very excited only one more shift left to work tomorrow :bliss:
 
Hi Cookie. I made the quiche in a medium sized family quiche dish - guess you can do what suits :). Kids are now eating our muller lights and syn free quiche - argh lol. Fine but they eat other stuff too then our plan stuff is gone hmmmm individual quiches may be the way to go - is that mean :) have a lovely holiday Cookie. Becky where are you and how are you doing x

My goodness a whole day with no contact. Hope the weekend went well for everyone!! I've a chesty cough so unfortunately can't do any exercise apart from walk but I'm doing OK on sw... beginning to feel myself skip a bit but I'm determined to get back on the wagon. Today wasn't too bad but this week has to be better!!

Hi Bally money girl. I am new and have lost 5lbs the first week but last week did a lot of socialising and stayed the same.

I am on extra easy as I think it's more sociable and easy for family meals.

I want to lose 3 stone and hope to lose a stone by August 17th as I have two wedding s and refuse to have my photo taken at the moment

I am in 16 and would love to get back to 12

Yes BMG, everyone quiet! Hopefully enjoying the nice weather. Faye welcome, we are all trying to spur each other on! I so want to loose a stone for August, off on holiday then so fingers crossed. Went to a function yesterday and had more wine than intended, stayed in plan with the food from the buffet which I was worried about , pasta, rice, cheese and chicken on sticks, there was fresh fruit too which was fab! WI tonight......
 
Good luck with wi geordie and welcome Faye. I'd love to lose a stone and a half by end of August but would really need to knuckle down to the healthy eating. Not being committed enough at the minute to deserve to lose weight. Wi is on Wed usually but I'm out for a meal so gonna go on Thurs instead! Where is everyone else. I wonder is cookie sunning herself.. lucky duck!!!
 
Hi All. Plodding along, been a bit under the weather the weekend which dragged me down a tad, having bloods done tomorrow and seeing GP on Th - on Levothyroxine and he's still playing with the dose at the mo so I think that's it. Had a walk along the beach yesterday and lunch at a lovely pub on the beach but kept it all SW friendly - could do with a good weight loss to give me a boost on Th. :). Homemade burgers and fry light wedges tonight yum yum. I'm sure Cookie will be having a fab time

All my own fault although the food has been good I had too much wine at the weekend so no wonder really, was going to stay for the meeting but didn't as I was embarrassed! So not giving up just gonna stop the wine drinking. No drinking at all, have a night out on Saturday and that might be it but even then I think I will try for martini with lemonade......! still determined, its only a pound......

Hi Geordie. The class would have been fine with you staying and can be a big support, don't let feeling that way put you off staying next time as they really would have supported you x at least you know why it's there and it was so close to weigh day too. Try and draw a line an just start this week with a clean sheet. Forgive yourself - you can't change yesterday but you can change today :)

Hopefully the meds will be sorted soon and you'll be back in top form. Trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight. Will see if mince is defrosted and if so might join you in burgers and chips!

Yup looking fwd to mine - baby bel light in centre. Just planning for tomorrow and making chicken New Yorker tomorrow night :)
 
Didn't go for the burgers instead going for your chilli recipe from before. Don't have cayenne pepper so going with out that. Must put it on the shopping list!! chicken new Yorker that's a new one to me!!
 
Thanks girls, just been good with food, wine is clearly my issue! Maybe I should have stayed, just thought I would have liked to have got a good few pounds shifted before I put any on! Good news is I got my plaster off today(another reason to be cross about the pound, thought I would have lost with the plaster off) it's great to have my arm back! Still a bit sore but much better, onwards and upwards
