Looking for a buddy for slimming world. Started 2 days ago!!

Enjoy your holiday when it comes cookie!

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying extra time off. Thoughts with Becky this week. Cookie well done on your WI. Aqua you should do a promo feature in the SW mag for the Asian cookbook lol, let me know how this evenings food turns out! Was meant to wi today but we were out for the day hubby, me, daughter and her friend at Alnwick Castle. Had a great day. I can wi tomorrow at a different class which I intend to do. Food has been ok this weekend, wine not so ended up having some last night which was not the plan but BH weekend! Got a take away tonight as I was too shattered to cook, chicken shaslik, delicious with a little bit pilau rice.

Hi all, hope you had a good bank holiday. Cookie you are doing so well you'll have a great time in Mexico and enjoy yourself you can still eat as much as the free food as want with a few naughty extras then get on plan when you get back. Aqua I've bought all of the ingredients to do the red curry out of the asian cookbook so will be doing that sometime this week while I still have a kitchen lol. Haven't been very good this weekend with the milestone birthdays, a BBQ and my dads birthday today as well as it being a bank holiday. Got to get back on plan tomorrow, don't know how I will manage next week will have to see. Welcome to results. I've heard that the truvia and the stevia (I think that's how you spell it) are not very nice. I bought two of the large jars of canderal in tesco today on offer for a £1 each, bargin, I think the small ones are more than a £1.

Hi everyone, was really worried about first WI tonight with it being BH and being out and all that but I have lost 2 and half pounds, delighted! Didn't stay to the meeting, would have liked to but still not driving and hubby took me there as I didn't have time to walk. Will stay next week. Quite excited which is sad but if I can eat like I have the last week and loose weight its happy days......! Chicken and pasta in a shop bought arrabiata sauce tonight but need to learn how to make my own

Hi Geordie, well done on weight loss, arrabiata is really easy to do its just a tin chopped tomatoes or passata, crushed garlic, salt' pepper, sweetener and hot sauce such as Tabasco to taste or fresh chillis. I add chopped red pepper, onions and fresh basil to mine and its lovely, my hubby loves it and doesn't even know that it's healthy. My weight in is tomorrow all I can say is I've had a bad week.

Hi All. Well done Geordie - great weight loss :). The Indonesian yellow chicken curry was nice though I think next time I'd use skinless thighs instead of legs as there's more meat on them. Have small portion for work lunch tomoz. Did homemade chicken Kiev tonight and fry light Cajun wedges and baked beans - amazing what you can eat on this plan huh. Lexi good luck for your weigh in, hope the kitchen is coming along ok,

Well I've been really bad over the weekend and it has gone from Saturday to Monday although now I'm back on track. Good thing is that I did my DVD every day except Sunday and on Sunday I did a 3mile walk! So although I may put on at weigh in tomorrow, I know I'm getting fit! I didn't really really pig out but I was bad enough! Cookie Fantabulous news on the weight loss. I'm sure you can't wait for your holiday now! Mexico sounds brilliant. I'm going to Portugal in September and would love to lose 12lbs by then!! Need to stick to the programme!!! Becky I hope the funeral wasn't too tough on you but I know it will have been. Let the emotions go and go with the flow. We'll all be here for you. Lexi your weekend didn't seem so bad!! Good luck with weigh in tomorrow! Well done geordie on the weight loss and aqua I just love your updates on the Asian cook book recipes! Hope we're all feeling positive for the week ahead. I don't have anything planned this weekend so hopefully will have a good week ahead!!

BMG you can definitely do 12 lbs for your holiday and great aim huh :). You are certainly going great guns with the exercise - well done, bound to gave helped with any extra syns. We're off to France in October - my daughter is studying in France for autumn term as part of her 3rd year degree so we're popping out to see her for a few days for her 21st birthday then travelling around a bit - just aiming to lose as much as I can before and then not do to much damage as I have the long term aim of my 50th in March.

Becky thoughts are with you x x

Was checking thisa out and apparently you do have to syn the pizza base?? read it in another minimins blog....

When foods like pasta, rice and grains are used in their original form they're low in energy density (calories), bulky, appetite-satisfying foods. Pasta, couscous and rice are usually the main ingredient in a meal packed with other Free Foods - giving it sufficient bulk to be satisfying as a meal in itself. However, when ground down, used as flour (like in couscous cake), used as a sauce thickener (like Smash), seasoned crisps (like Doritos) or puréed (like smoothies) they're often used as additions to a main meal... and on top of your day's Syns. It is a very effective way of adding a lot of extra calories in a non-bulky way, and as such would then be counted as Syns

Hi everyone. Just catching up on all your posts. Glad to hear things are going well for so many of you! Any anyone feeling disheartened about anything, the best thing about SW is that we can fall off the horse but as long as we get back on then it's okay, right?! So jealous of all of your holidays!!! They sound amazing! I'm going to hope that by the time I get a chance to go on hols again, that I have the body I want!!

That curry looks so so good!!! I made the SW Chicken Katsu Chicken this week (recipe in my food diary) and it was so so good and made so much sauce! I managed to make dinner for 5 and 2 plates of veggie curry today with the leftover sauce! Well worth a go. xx

That curry is amazing - trust me lol son is home from uni now so working on lunch ideas as he now eats the spare dinner portion hubby and I were splitting :). Just made a syn free quiche with quark, 8 eggs, tomatoes, ham and chopped pepper. Whisked all together and baked in a quiche dish sprayed with fry light - looks yum. Will last a few days. Might take a sweet and sour mugshot too as they're syn free.

I'm back from class and maintained this week so really pleased as not had a totally good week. Must be good this week, must make the most of my kitchen until Sunday. I think I'm going to do the curry on Friday. Let me know aqua what you think of the quark as I know it's used a lot in s/w but can't say I really fancy it, but the quiche sounds really nice.

Hello everyone, congratulations Geordie on your loss, brilliant result, and Lexi you did really good considering all those do's you had to stay the same so I bet you'll have a good loss next week also thanks for your arriabata sauce recipe sounds really good. Aqua, your our Asian cookbook super star, that curry looks delicious. BMG you may not have done as bad you think especially with all your exercise so fingers crossed for you. Beckyboo I hope the funeral went well and that your feeling a little better. Zippy where are you I hope your doing well too.

I'm really excited for my holiday on Saturday but I'm still being good while I can so have stuck to SW plan 100% so far I'm trying to see the holiday as my treat as opposed to all the fanciful foods as I'd be gutted to gain what I've worked so hard to lose so if nobody minds I was thinking should I post some of my food choices on here, I'm thinking it might help keep me on track? What do u think? Xx:gen147:
