Mmmm....coke syrup lol....think I might give that a go....just out of interest lol....BBQ sauce sounds a bit better must have a mooch about and find a low carb recipe for BBQ sauce x

Mine is:

1 carb ketchup (from low carb megastore)
Dash of worcestershire sauce
Dash of soya sauce (Japanese not Chinese)
Sploge of mustard
Squirt of liquid sweetener

- I've only made it a couple of times but liked it. Might add a little 5 spice powder next time. No exact quantities as I just mix it up to taste. I tried a couple of mass produced low carb BBQ sauces but this was much better.

Morning all, I never heard about the cauliflour pizza, sounds interesting, will look it up. It is really the topping that I like about pizza, the taste of tomato, cheese and oregano all melted together.

Yesterday went ok, tapas was good but toooo much wine. Also I don't think I will be having flax everyday, lots of walks in the park in the last 2 days, lol

Today
B sausage and egg
L salad with lots of protein
D chicken milanese (without the bread crumb) with goodies and spicy tomato sauce.

Today is my last day on induction, I am going to add nuts next week, so will be trying some of the receipes and also nut butter, yum.
Hope you all have a great day.

I made cauliflower bread sticks using the cauliflower pizza crust really early on (it's probably in the first few pages of my diary). It was okay but quite a fuss to do and I haven't bothered since.

The best 'pizza' I tend to have is totally crustless - I cook down a bit of marks tomato and basil sauce in a pan, then put mozzarella and toppings on and pop it under the grill. Then slide onto a plate! Toppings are definitely the best part!

Morning all

ML that pizza sounds good, I might try that the next time, although I quite liked the flax base, the cauliflour base seems to take a long time, but would probably be more substantial.

Sigh.....up 2 lb today, I know it is down to the amount of wine on Thurs and then yesterday I had the bunches, due to the wine.

Owl was due to start today, but when I saw the gain I thought I would put it off for another week; but having read some diaries I see others are losing on up to 50gr, so I am going to go ahead and start owl. I will still try to get at least 15gr from induction veg.

I have not yet decided what's on the menu today, but it will include nuts in some form and lots of water.

Hope you all have a good day.

i made a huge cauliflower crust before so cut it into three pieces, froze two so still got it there to get out n have. i put a small amount of tomato puree on with some oregano, then i put some left over chicken and beef in a bag cut into small pieces and put steak seasoning and jerk seasoning in shook it up, put that on pizza with some peppers and mushrooms it was to die for mmmmmmmmmmm

Hi all, haven't been on for a few days. I have upper carbs to 25 and added in nut butter, really enjoying it. I haven't gave nuts everyday, but I am using my carb allowance on more veg including tomato and onion.
I wint post ratios anymore as they are a bit out with the increased carbs.

B flax pizza with chorizo
L creamy courgette soup, egg and coleslaw lettuce wrap
D beef strog with cauliflower
S almond cocoa bark

Hope you are all having a great day

Menu looks great - I actually find nuts etc very useful in keeping to good ratios when on a higher carb level.

Hi, that cauliflour pizza receipe Lois so good, I will try that next week.
Talking to DD last night and she wants potato gratin the next time she is home, so I am thinking I will try celeriac gratin with gruyere cheese for lunch tomorrow, but I can't find out how much cream I am allowed in owl, is it still the same as induction?
If it is I will try celeriac boulangere.....has anyone tried either if these?
Carbs yesterday 22 cal 1450

Today
B sausage and egg
L salad with avocado, bacon blue cheese dressing and pean nuts
D sea bass with celeriac chips

Hope you all having a good day.

not tried those but if they work out please post the recipe. i did the saag aloo alike recipe today, i made the recipe up myself, it was lovely but a little bit hot, i will have to halve the spices, once i have perfected it i will post it on recipe thread. not sure about cream in owl if its more or same xx sorry

I don't think there's any specific thing about being allowed to increase your cream - but as you're allowed to increase your carbs in general I should think a bit more cream now and then as long as its under your carb allowance should be fine.

Morning Sammy... nuts are so more-ish - I don't have the willpower at the moment! lol

Must try the cauli pizza base too - but not for a couple of weeks til I get this excess off me! lol

Hope you have a great day! xx

Morning....will be interesting to see how u get on with extra carbs....I've done my two week induction ....think I will move onto owl once I'm down to a stone to lose ....got another 7lb to go until that time ....sticking to 20g is pretty hard going some days ....what sort calorie intake are u having now on owl ? In still sticking to roughly 1600 which is really suiting me ...just wondered if going on owl u have noticed that u are eating more calories ?

xx

Evening all

@ML ok have used 60 ML cream, kept within carb allowance, prob won't do it very often, it really ups the cals.

@ Alpaca, I agree with you re the nuts, I have really only used nut butter so far, I definitely would not trust myself with a bag of nuts, not too sure I would ever trust myself tbh!
@Ange when I have the nut butter I tend to reduce cream and mayo, at the moment I am mostly upping the veg, which has very little affect on the calories, pure carbs only have 4 calories per gr. so 5 gr of carbs is only 20 cals.

Good day today,but.....I am going away for the weekend, a surprise from the OH, so hopefully I will be able to stay fairly low carb. J know all the places we are going to so, tomorrow should be ok and breakfast sat and sun ok, but sat night could be a disaster.....

Weighed in this morning and I have lost last weeks 2 lb gain, taking this as weeks weigh in as I won't be able to weigh in on sat.

Well done Sammy!! I lost you a bit on the pure carbs calculations - I'm not very good at this woe malarkey!! Hope you have a great weekend! Xx
