Ive just bought a new fitness dvd (although still waiting for it to arrive) a Billy Blanks one, a friend suggested it, so I ordered one then watched a clip on youtube.com - maybe not such a good idea!!!

Oh, you must do it as soon as it arrives and write me a review!!!

Little Red used to talk about his DVD and say they were brutal.

I have 3 of his DVDs, they are mental! lol! I have a beginners tho which does me fine! lol! The advanced is tough and he keeps yelling at you! I yell back tho! Hope you like it, you can get the boxie thing to hit in asda for £8 just now to go with it!If youre anything like me tho you wont be able to walk after doing it. I had to get the lift in work!

The boxing punch thing sounds good - work off some of my excess anger....better than hitting my OH I suppose (well better in that I wont get arrested for it!)

Went to the cinema last night with DD to see Night at the Museum 2 - couldn't get in to the 6.45 showing so HAD to go and get something to eat while we waited for the 8.15 show. Where did we end up? Pizza hut - and no, I didn't have the pasta and salad option

(loved it mind.....) x

Mmm nothing like a pizza hut pizza served in the restaurant ... Damn those points!!!!!!!

How was the film?

It was actually surprisingly good - quite funny in places too.

My lovely little daughter wouldn't even go for the thin base one as a damage limitation exercise...it was deep pan all the way.

Hi Rosie,

You'll be fine I'm sure:p My friend at work is as slim as a pin and maintains her weight by sticking to about 19 -20points during the week and eating more or less what she wants at the weekend. I would love to get to that stage myself!

The chinese buffet sounds lovely - We have chinese restaurants over here calle the Red Panda which are just yum but not sure if they're the same as your one:)

I went to the Red Panda in Belfast for my first date with my lovely BF I met on match! It's vvvvvvvvv nice!:drool:

Sorry just thought I would gatecrash your thread! xx

If its any consolation Im going to have a pizza tonight and its not from WW... BOLD ME:eek::eek::eek:

oh no...... deep pan? :( you need to re-educate your little one.. thin and crispy all the way! The pizza hut deep pan are so greasy.. we have a pizza bar at work now and unfortunately the deep pan we do are much nicer and much more tempting (as my increasing waistline indicates! :p :( )

hope you've had a good day anyway :) x

We must have cross posted on each other's diaries then...I guess when we are the only 2 on here at 12.20am that's to be expected really.

Hope your exercise was good today - I have been a right good girl on that front.

Did the sculpt Davina session with the mental amount of squats - then went out for a very brisk walk with my friend for an hour - did just over 4 miles - up hill and down dale. Lovely it was too.

Had a tofu stir fry - note to self....don't use silken tofu for stir frying...bit soft - tends to break up rather a lot. Tasted really nice but didn't look the best!

havent had tofu for years.. cant remember liking it either - will have to retry it :)

i was good with my exercise.. however definitely not upto your level just yet :) you'll have to count the squats so i know when i'm ready to try it! :D x

Every little helps ;)

In the 40mins session - the first 30 contain squats pretty much all the time....hundreds of them. My thighs are right sore now - so worried what the morning will be like.

Nighty night. xx

Hi Rosie glad to see you are back on track with the excercise should see any squatters gone very soon

M

Thought you might have popped in by now to report on how those thighs are doing
hope the late posting doesnt me you are still stuck in bed missing this glorious day

Oh hate squats ... hate crunches too ... and don't get me started on Jumping jacks ... I just cannot do them !

Hope you're thighs survived!!

Au contrair, Hazel...up with the lark and out to work this morning but only till mid afternoon then enjoying the sunshine.

I had a fantastic moment today - I realised that it was the first sunny day in years where I had actually bared the top of my arms and not felt self-conscious that the wobbling might knock out an innocent passer by or be registered on the richter scale. It felt fab!!! Bring on the sun is all I can say.

Found another chest strap for my heart rate monitor so back in action and able to report that the Steps DVD burns just over 400 calories for all sections for someone of my size and fitness level....a lot in other words!!!! Brilliant it is too. :D

I have also become totally addicted to pineapple and 0% greek yoghurt - it is heavenly. Not sure how many points in pineapple but I am pretty much counting fruit as free at the moment :p

not sure what to have for my tea. Can't actually be bothered eating now that I am a sweaty heap from my DVD - even doing it out in the garage with the door open didn't stop me overheating.:eek:

Good job its pretty much only ever cows that look across into ou garage and the very occassional passing car.

hiya

Was thinking of getting a heart rate monitor - are they really accurate?? Which one do you have?

xx

We were cross posting. I love it when that happens... not sure why, but I do. :D

I have a polar heart rate monitor....now, in terms of accuracy - I guess there is no real way of knowing to be honest.... although this one is a pretty good one. I think the one's with a chest strap and wristwatch receiver tend to be more accurate than just the ones you wear on your wrist as the contact is made the whole time.

You tell it your age, weight etc and based on your heart rate it works out the calories you are burning .....so should be.
