Well I'm on to Day 5 today, and have found I'm not in as much pain now, only a bit sore on the knees, which is a massive improvement from Day 1!

I definitely feel as though I am toning up, the scales say STS at the min but hoping for a loss... going to stick with it, 25 days to go!

I reckon I will try 3 times a week once the 30 days is up to stay toned?!?!

Haha yeh I know, I can't wait to get started. Play messed up my order tho, so I've had to order it again, from Amazon this time. Hopefully it will come before the weekend...

Do you do allthe moves the hard way?? I can't do a press up - no upper body strength whatsoever, so I'm slightly concerned about that. xxx
 
Hi Mancbird, you're doing great. It's so difficult at times to keep focused and realise this a life change not a quick fix. I know I'm very guilty of wanting to wake up in the morning and be magically slim. I keep saying to myself, even at a lb a week, it's going down not up. R u still doing the EE? I'm old hat at slimming world myself and looking back over my old books I seem to have lost a lot faster than I am doing at the moment. It's probably my age too!! I used to be able to follow the plan 80% if I'm honest and have big losses. Nowadays it's never more than 2lb and that's an angelic week! I'm going to keep at it though, because it does work.

He he I always follow the easy way!! I can't get anywhere near a press up!! But I give it 100% and do as much as I can and don't stop lol xxxxx

I know just what you mean, I did SW when I was 21 and it fell off me and I used to go out every weekend on the lash! I used to lose 3 or 4 a week... but then look where that got me, it just piled on again when I stopped... this time its for good, and a change for life! I'm still doing EE although admittedly I don't always do my 1/3 superfree! xxxxx
 
I've started doing a few green days, just cos I find it so much easier than having to think about 1/3 superfree sometimes. Plus I'm skint so my shopping is cheaper with less meat in it!!xxx

Well I'm up to Day 6 of shred today, so 5 more sessions and I start Level 2 (SCARED).

I've done more exercise this week than I've ever done in my entire life over 7 days, 5 sessions of shred so far, plus a zumba class and a 10k on my exercise bike...will have done 1 more shred before WI... so WHY WHY WHY did I jump on the scales last night?! They are showing 1lb UP??!!!!!

Can't believe it, I know they say you might get a slight increase when you up your exercise but I've been doing loads of cycling and zumba for weeks now so I thought I'd got past that?

I sooooooo want 1.5lb off this week for my 2 stone, I'm dreaming of that sticky, its been keeping me going through the shred... ARGH!!!!!!

Good luck with your WI, and at least if you do gain, you know it's for the right reasons and not too many pies!!! I'm glad you're always going to be a step ahead with the Shred, means I know how scared to be lol xxx
 
It might be a temp Shred gain - dont stress though - a LOT can change between now and weigh in.

I'm definitely keeping going, I just really want to see a drop on the scales, but like you say, there's still time for it to kick in! xxxxx
 
Well its WI day and I stupidly weighed myself this morning... showing a 2.5lb loss (BUT its morning, so I usually gain 3-4lb on that number for the evening...)...

I'm guessing an STS or 1/2 on... I really need to ditch the sneaky peeking! xxxxxxxx
 
I do that too, but my scales are crap anyway, they show pretty much the same thing regardless of the time of day. So altho mine showed a loss this morning, I won't hold my breath until i get weighed properly at class.

Once I get closer to target tho, I think I might invest in a decent set of scales of my own, cos I find my sneaky peeks motivating sometimes!!

My Shred hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping today will be the day, I want to get started asap!!! xx
 
So the results are in... STS... it is star week (which I never lose on) but still was really hoping for something, given all my hard work on shred, bike and zumba...

ARGH!! STILL 1.5lb away from 2 stone... I have been here so many times before!!

Really, really hoping that I get a loss this week, going to be 100% and still not drinking for Lent so fingers crossed this is the week! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
 
Aww, well at least you didn't gain... And you sound very focussed on that 1.5lb so I'm sure you will soon lose it :)

I did day 1 of shred yesterday, it wasn't as hard as I expected but I did worry I wasn't doing all the crunches and stuff properly, with my posture etc... Hopefully I'll feel more confident in time!! xxx
 
I'm injured! I felt something ping in my arm last night at Zumba, and it really hurts today!! I couldn't do the Shred!! Cry!! xxxxxx
 
I was going to re-start last night, but I've done something to my shouler which hurts like a bugger. Don't even know what I did, was sat at my desk and stretched and now it hurts like hell if I move it anywhere near my head!! Hope you're not in too much pain xxx
 
I'm not sure, it just hurts to lift anything above waist level ARGH!! Just think I've overdone it trying to do shred and zumba, its too much for my poor body to take! Going to have to take a rest day today I think xxxxx
