Definitely did, thank you. The walk we did was the start of the West Highland Way which we're doing in August, so we were just getting some training in! It was a gorgeous day too which helped. I got that fruit compote thing in M&S cos I thought it looked healthy, didn't point it till I'd eaten it. I nearly died when I realised it was 10 points!! It was nice but not worth that, haha!

Hiya all food sounds great.
I hate then when you try and pick what you think will be the best option and it turns out to high pointed. Xx

That's not so good bout the fruit compote, hard when out sometimes knowing what to pick.Wow bet that will be a beautiful walk, how many miles will it be?

At the time I realised it was 10pp I was like "I could have got a bacon roll!" but at least it was a fairly healthy option compared to a stodgy roll so I'll console myself with that!

It's 96 miles over 7 days. We did it 2 years ago and it's amazing! Goes from Glasgow to Fort William. It's really hilly though so some of it is pretty hard going, which is why we're getting some training in! But it's worth it just for the views.

Wow it sounds amazing! What a great thing to do!get some pics please :0) very true that at least you went for the fruit and not the roll :0)

Lol you can't win! How did you get on last time you did it?do you do it with friends? Is there lots of people? I'm curious lol (nosey)hehe! Aw hope you do get better weather and views.

Hi,

Last time and this time I'm doing it with OH. There's very few people I would do it with actually cos you spend so much time together and some of it's quite hard going. There were times I could have cried cos my feet were sore and I was fed up. BUT it was all worth it and the sense of achievement at the end is great! Last time we did it it was fairly quiet but we met a few people, usually in the pubs or campsites that you recognised from throughout the day. But think in August it'll be much busier so looking forward to it. Last time I didn't train much and wasn't very used to long distance walking. So I'm hoping the fact I walk more now plus hopefully I'll be lighter will make a difference and I'll find it easier. Last time we both managed it with no blisters - good shoes/boots are the key, haha!

Marianne x

Well done on no blisters! It does sound emotional but I can imagine how you must feel once you complete it! That's great that you are doing it with your OH! Thanks for answering my questions :0)

Have had 3 meals out this week and wine at the weekend so don't mind if it's STS. And if I lose I'm gonna celebrate by having a panini at uni tomorrow, haha! Love planning ahead!
